Chapter 66: Chapter 33: Purchasing Items, Re-entering the Reincarnation World! (Part 2)

His primary world, the Saint Seiya universe, was at a critical juncture. In just a few days, it would be time for Shion to officially announce his succession as Pope, and he absolutely had to be present for that!

Even if he wanted to explore those high-tier worlds, he would have to wait until he actually had the time.

After browsing through the options, Alex’s gaze was drawn to a particular world. Unlike the others, this one did not display a red danger warning.

It sat there quietly, radiating a soft glow. Within the holographic projection of the world, one could vaguely make out countless hideous, gargantuan monsters roaming aimlessly across the land.

The world lacked even a shred of natural light. Sky and earth seemed as if they had been recklessly splattered with thick ink, and a heavy, chaotic, oppressive hazee pressed down, completely blotting out the sky!

"What kind of world is this?" Alex asked the Reincarnation Space.

[This world is still in its primordial stage of creation. It urgently requires a trailblazer to help establish a system of civilization.]

[If successful, Hunter 003, while facing extreme danger, will also receive handsome rewards. Not only will you obtain a massive amount of Origin Crystals, but there is also a chance to be rewarded with Divinity!]

Divinity? Alex’s eyes lit up!

Having just detected Athena’s subtle attempt to assimilate his Cosmo back at the Pope’s Palace, Alex knew that acquiring Divinity was absolutely crucial for him to fully break free from her control.

However, out of caution, Alex asked further, "Just how dangerous is it? If I wear my Gold Cloth, can I guarantee a safe return?"

[If danger arises, the Hunter may extract at any time. To the Reincarnation Space, the existence of the Hunter himself is far more important than a single world!]

"Ok, then i choose this World."

Alex’s figure turned ethereal, piercing through time and space as he plunged straight into this mysterious world.

...

The wind and sand whipped across Alex’s cheeks, grinding against his skin like coarse sandpaper.

The wind speed easily exceeded a force ten gale. Alex’s legs sank almost entirely into the loose sand. If he didn’t possess the immensely powerful physique of a Gold Saint, merely walking would have proven difficult!

Looking up, the sky was a thick, churning soup of inky black and crimson. A colossal, multi-colored vortex slowly rotated within the clouds, occasionally erupting with streams of golden light or cascading showers of purple plasma, briefly illuminating the distant, black mountain ranges that twisted upward like ghostly claws.

’What the hell kind of world is this?’

Alex scoured his memories of every anime and movie universe he knew, but he couldn’t find a single one that matched the apocalyptic scenery before his eyes.

Roar!

A deafening roar erupted from the sand dune to his right.

Alex turned his head just in time to see a terrifying, gargantuan beast tearing through the dense fog.

Its body was fully twenty to thirty meters tall. Its back carried three writhing, fleshy tumors, and upon each tumor grew dozens of cloudy, milky eyes. Wherever its gaze swept, the quicksand actually began to boil and bubble.

The most horrifying aspect was its maw, which looked like a spiraling vortex pieced together from countless white bones.

The Cosmo within Alex’s body ignited in an instant. His ice-blue domain of Absolute Zero expanded outward with him at the epicenter, layers of white halos blooming open.

The moment the giant beast lunged near, it was flash-frozen into a translucent ice sculpture, even its ferocious roar solidifying in its throat.

Alex casually flicked a finger. A bolt of golden lightning tore through the air, blasting the ice sculpture into a shower of shattered fragments across the ground.

However, in the very next second, Alex’s pupils contracted slightly.

Those ice fragments were actually slowly writhing on the sand, attempting to piece themselves back together. The shadowy, fleshy masses trapped within the ice blocks continuously twisted and combined, desperately trying to reconstruct their complete form.

"Interesting. An immortal body?" Alex observed the scene with keen interest.

The power level of these giant beasts wasn’t considered top-tier, but their vitality was bizarrely tenacious. Moreover, their overall appearance constantly gave Alex a nagging sense of déjà vu, though he couldn’t quite recall where he had seen them before.

The wind and sand swept up once more. From the oppressive darkness in the distance, a chorus of even more terrifying roars echoed out, as if every monster in this entire world had just been startled awake.
