Chapter 50: Chapter 25: Camus’s Ambition, The Assembly of Saints! (Part 2)

At this moment, all the Bronze and Silver Saints currently present in the Sanctuary had gathered in the plaza, fully clad in their respective Cloths.

"What’s happening? How many years has it been since the assembly horn was last blown?"

"I heard it might be related to the recent disappearance of the Sagittarius Gold Cloth."

"Shh, hold your tongues! Lord Alex is here!"

Wearing the Aquarius Gold Cloth, Alex descended the steps of the Aquarius Temple. The winds of the sacred mountain swept past, sending his black hair and white cape fluttering fiercely behind him, granting him an unparalleled, imposing presence.

Alex stood at the pinnacle of the plaza’s white jade steps. The morning sunlight cascaded over his Gold Cloth, reflecting a chilling, ice-blue luster.

When his freezing gaze swept across the crowd, the previously raucous discussions were instantly silenced. The Saints grew so tense that they even began to breathe cautiously.

"It’s His Excellency, Alex!"

"He’s too strong. The sheer pressure of his Cosmo makes me tremble uncontrollably!"

"You all should already be aware!" Alex’s voice wasn’t overly loud, but it carried a piercing authority that cut through the air, his ice-blue Cosmo swirling steadily around him.

"The Sagittarius Gold Cloth was lost during the Galaxian Wars. His Holiness the Pope has commanded me to retrieve it within ten days!"

He paused. The ambient moisture in the air rapidly concentrated, instantly condensing into a flawless ice crystal.

The crystal morphed in mid-air, creating a lifelike, three-dimensional holographic projection of the Sagittarius Cloth. Every detail, from the feathery crest of the helmet to the curve of the bow and arrow, was so sharp it felt tangible.

"The fate of the Sanctuary hinges upon this Gold Cloth. No clue is to be taken lightly!"

"If any of you have thoughts or leads, speak now."

Down in the plaza, a Saint raised his hand.

"Your Excellency, I’ve received reports that the Gold Cloth was stolen by the Phoenix Saint, Ikki. Could we begin our investigation with him?"

"Agreed. The Bronze Saints participating in the Galaxian Wars are highly suspicious as well. I’ve heard that Andromeda Shun is Ikki’s biological younger brother. I recommend we investigate him concurrently!"

Alex nodded slightly. Excellent—this was exactly the tactical mindset he was looking for.

"Very well. We will commence the investigation with Ikki, Seiya, Shiryu, Shun, Hyoga, and the others. Now, heed my orders!"

"The Saints whose names I call are to deploy to Tokyo immediately. You will investigate these five Bronze Saints, along with the Kido Foundation that hosted this tournament!"

"Silver Saints: Eagle Marin! Cepheus Albiore! Lizard Misty! Whale Moses! Sagitta Ptolemy! Canis Major Sirius!"

The moment the first name left his lips, a ripple of shock tore through the crowd.

’Marin? Did I hear that right? She is Seiya’s master!’

And Cepheus Albiore—isn’t he Shun’s master?

Deploying them to investigate Seiya ans Shun... is that really going to be effective?

Alex’s expression remained devoid of any emotion.

"Cygnus Hyoga is my own student. Before the decree of His Holiness the Pope, no one is above the law, and no one holds special privileges. If you encounter resistance, I authorize you to use any means necessary! Including... lethal force!"

"..."

The plaza fell into a dead silence; everyone was rendered utterly speechless.

They had long heard rumors of Lord Alex’s cold and ruthless nature. Judging by his current deployment—dispatching so many Silver Saints, and elite ones at that—it was blatantly obvious he intended to send these five Bronze Saints straight to the slaughterhouse.

The Silver Saints called by Alex stepped forward from the ranks, dropping to one knee before him.

"Yes, Lord Alex!"

"Investigating Seiya and the Bronze Saints alone is far from sufficient. I suspect this incident is intertwined with the machinations of an evil deity. The remaining Saints will be divided into three squadrons to patrol Asia, Europe, and the Americas for any traces of such entities. Should you encounter danger, you are to signal me for reinforcements immediately!"

Alex waved his hand dismissively. Ice crystals condensed in the air, transforming into dozens of command tokens that shot out toward the crowd.

High upon the sacred mountain, the other Gold Saints watched this scene unfold from afar. They couldn’t help but cast their gazes upward toward the Pope’s Palace at the summit.

Is it really okay for Alex to take things this far?

Although Shion was seated deep within the Pope’s Palace, a phantom projection hovered before his eyes, displaying the events in the plaza below in real-time.

Watching Alex’s strategic deployment, Shion nodded slightly, a look of profound gratification washing over his aged features.

’As expected of the man I selected as the optimal candidate for Pope. He handles matters cleanly, efficiently, and with absolute decisiveness!’

With just a single glance, he had flawlessly deciphered the Goddess’s true intentions.

The Sagittarius Cloth was undoubtedly important, but what was infinitely more crucial was throwing the five core Bronze Saints into the crucible and forcing them to awaken their potential as quickly as possible!

By deploying this specific roster of Silver Saints—a calculated mix of their own mentors and ruthless executioners—Alex was subjecting them to the ultimate trial by fire, while simultaneously ensuring an underlying safety net.

The Sanctuary truly had a worthy successor!
