Chapter 125: Chapter 63: Odysseus? Asclepius! (Part 1)

On the stone steps outside the Scorpio Temple, Alex crouched down halfway, laying Hyoga flat on the ground.

He took out three Health Potions from his inventory space and slowly poured the red liquid into Hyoga’s mouth.

As the energy from the potions slid down Hyoga’s throat, the wounds pierced by the Scarlet Needles on his body rapidly began to heal, flesh regenerating. Items produced by the Reincarnation Space were indeed highly effective.

After finishing this, Alex took a deep breath, turned around, and gazed at the palace that had abruptly appeared behind the Scorpio Temple.

The silhouette of the Ophiuchus Temple gleamed with an eerie dark-gold light under the setting sun; even the surrounding air seemed tinged with a layer of gloom.

"I hope you guys can hold on!" Alex quickened his pace.

He could clearly sense that the Cosmos of the four indomitable Bronze Saints had briefly erupted in the direction of the Ophiuchus Temple, only to quickly fall into dead silence.

Those Cosmos, having just broken through to the Seventh Sense, were as fragile as candles in the wind before the profound and bizarre energy of the Ophiuchus Temple.

Passing through a mountain path littered with rubble, the full view of the Ophiuchus Temple finally unfolded before his eyes.

The structure of this palace was completely different from the Twelve Zodiac Temples; it was steeped in an aura of ancient history and primal wildness.

Countless serpentine stone pillars supported the towering dome. The giant pythons carved into the pillars had their maws wide open, with black, rust-like stains lingering on their fangs, as if they would lunge and bite in the very next second.

The outer walls of the palace were inlaid with dark green gemstones that emitted a spectral glow in the fading sunset.

As Alex stepped through the palace doors, an aura blending lethal poison and absolute holiness washed over him.

In the center of the grand hall, the four Bronze Saints lay scattered haphazardly on the ground. Seiya’s Pegasus Cloth was battered beyond recognition, Shiryu’s Dragon tattoo had lost its luster, Ikki’s Phoenix flames were completely extinguished, and Shun’s Nebula Chain lay limply strewn aside.

All four were deathly pale and their breathing was weak. It was obvious that they had been defeated by the Ophiuchus Saint in a single encounter.

Sensing someone’s arrival, a figure slowly walked over, bringing with him a massive, suffocating pressure.

This mysterious Saint’s physique was far taller and more imposing than an ordinary Gold Saint. Even with Alex’s height nearing 1.9 meters, he actually had to look up to meet the man’s eyes.

The man stepped out of the statue’s shadow, revealing his true face.

His appearance was handsome to the point of being almost demonic. His silvery-white hair cascaded down to his waist like a waterfall, interwoven with a few streaks of dark purple. The loose bangs at the front partially covered his forehead but could not conceal those long, narrow eyes.

His pupils were a deep, dark green, the corners of his eyes tilting up slightly. They carried a touch of laziness and arrogance, yet hidden deep within was a sharpness capable of seeing right through the human heart.

Alex, who was well-versed in the ancient texts of the Saints, recognized him instantly.

In the Saints’ graveyard on the back mountain of the Sanctuary, his tombstone still remained: the Ophiuchus Silver Saint!

The corners of Alex’s mouth curled up slightly as he voiced the Saint’s name.

"Odysseus..."

Odysseus was the Ophiuchus Silver Saint during the previous Holy War. He was later possessed by the God of Medicine, Asclepius, becoming the Ophiuchus Gold Saint!

Asclepius, who possessed him, had an even greater background: he was the son of Apollo, the God of Light, and Coronis, the Princess of Thessaly!

He was born a demigod, existing on the exact same level as Hercules, the God of Strength who suppressed the nine-headed Hydra.

During the ancient era, Asclepius had once been a Saint of Athena. However, as time passed, his ambition continuously swelled, and he sought to replace Athena and become the god who ruled the earth.

As a result, he incurred Athena’s wrath and was cast down by her into the abyss leading to the realm of death.

This abyss also became the place where Asclepius was sealed, known as the Prison of Tartarus!

Although Alex didn’t know exactly how Asclepius managed to escape the Prison of Tartarus!

But come to think of it, only he would possess the ability to summon the Ophiuchus Temple back from the long river of time.

Odysseus—or rather, Asclepius—locked his dark green eyes onto Alex, the smile at the corners of his mouth deepening considerably.
