Chapter 123: Chapter 62: Hyoga’s Seventh sense; The Ophiuchus Temple! (Part 1)
The dome of the Scorpio Temple was inlaid with fluorite that simulated the star map of the Scorpio constellation, casting a faint blue light that flowed along the intricate patterns of the bluestone slabs.
As soon as the five indomitable Bronze Saints stepped through the gates of the Scorpio Temple, they were immediately locked onto by a fierce and piercing Cosmo.
In the center of the palace stood a man with his back to them. His deep purple hair flowed down to his waist like smooth silk. The Scorpio Gold Cloth gleamed with a cold metallic luster under the faint blue starlight. The long scorpion tail at the back of the Cloth was swaying slowly in the air like a living creature, the stinger at its tip flashing with a dangerous blue gleam.
Shun looked at his four companions and bravely stepped forward.
"You’re Scorpio Milo, right? I am Andromeda Shun, here to challenge this temple!"
Milo slowly turned around, his arms crossed over his chest.
His face was handsome but carried an unmistakable hint of arrogance. His pale golden eyebrows raised slightly as his gaze swept past Shun without stopping for even a fraction of a second, treating him like an insignificant object.
Soon, his line of sight brushed past Seiya, Shiryu, and Ikki one by one, ultimately fixating on Hyoga, who was wearing the Cygnus Cloth.
Milo extended his right index finger. A point of scarlet Cosmo gathered at his fingertip, its light flickering in and out like a dancing, poisonous flame.
"That kid over there... your name is Hyoga, right?"
"Huh?"
Hyoga opened his mouth slightly, the pupils beneath his short blue hair contracting sharply. An ominous premonition crept down his spine.
From Milo’s eyes, he saw a trace of completely undisguised hostility.
However, he still puffed out his chest. His ice-blue Cosmo quietly circulated as he spoke with a firm voice.
"That’s me. Cygnus Saint, Hyoga."
Milo nodded in satisfaction. The scarlet light at his fingertip grew even denser, his tone carrying an unquestionable authority.
"You’re the one, then. Hyoga stays behind to fight. The rest of you, head to the next temple."
The scene in the Pope’s Chamber—where, forced by Alex’s overwhelming pressure, he had to humiliatingly hold back and let them go—felt as if it had just happened moments ago.
The proud and arrogant Milo hadn’t dared to lash out at the time due to Alex’s tyrannical might, but he was undeniably furious on the inside.
Now, his student, Hyoga, had actually delivered himself right to his doorstep.
Seiya and the other three looked at Hyoga, their eyes full of sympathy.
How could they fail to see through Milo’s intentions? He was clearly venting all his lingering dissatisfaction with Alex onto Hyoga.
It seemed that the popularity of Hyoga’s Teacher, within the Sanctuary was far worse than they had imagined.
Seeing them hesitating to move, the red light at Milo’s fingertip flashed. He furrowed his brows and sneered.
"What are you dawdling for? If you don’t leave now, none of you will leave the Scorpio Temple alive today!"
Seiya looked toward the Zodiac clock at the peak of the sacred mountain.
There were only four flames left burning. That meant Miss Saori was running out of time.
He gritted his teeth, leaned close to Hyoga, and lowered his voice.
"Hyoga, we’ll go ahead and save Miss Saori first. Once we get the Shield of Athena, we’ll come back to help you immediately!"
After the Scorpio Temple lay the Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces Temples. Among them, the Sagittarius Temple was empty, and the Aquarius Temple belonged to Alex, so there was a high probability no one would stop them there either.
They only needed to break through two more trials to reach the summit of the sacred mountain!
"Go! I’ll deal with him!"
Dragging his exhausted body, Hyoga ignited his Cosmo. This concerned his master’s reputation; he couldn’t afford to retreat.
The four Bronze Saints hesitated no longer, disappearing into the depths of the Scorpio Temple.
Hyoga nodded and clenched his fists, his ice-blue Cosmo beginning to surge.
But before he could even prepare himself, Milo vanished from right in front of him!
In the very next second, a piercing, heart-wrenching pain shot through his back. Hyoga was launched into the air as if struck by a heavy sledgehammer.
While he was still mid-air, seven bloody holes burst open on his body. Blood sprayed wildly from the wounds, dyeing the ice-blue armor on his chest crimson.
"Heh, too weak."
Milo’s voice echoed from behind Hyoga. He slowly retracted his finger, the scarlet light yet to dissipate.
"Compared to your teacher, you are simply..."
