Chapter 122: Chapter 61: Shaka’s Request, the Gathering of the Five Indomitables (Part 2)

"I made a bet with that person. I will not interfere in any way. I will let the five Bronze Saints storm the temples. If they can successfully retrieve the Shield of Athena, Saori Kido lives. If they cannot... then that is her fate."

Shaka nodded slightly, a faint smile playing on his lips.

"If that is the case, why are you rushing to the Ophiuchus Temple? You should know the consequences of letting Saori Kido become that person better than I do."

The "person" they were referring to was naturally Athena, the Goddess of War and Wisdom.

Once Saori Kido arrived at Athena’s Temple and completely inherited the divine majesty of Athena, the entire Sanctuary would be enveloped by the Goddess’s divine domain.

Alex’s expression remained neutral, though the corners of his mouth curled up slightly. He, too, was an existence possessing Divinity, and he even had a Reincarnation World of his very own.

He had already gained quite a bit of insight into the tricks played by gods.

After the human Robert and the Darkseeker Ren Syke became his priests, Alex found he could easily manipulate their emotions—their joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness.

It was highly likely that Athena did the exact same thing to them, the Gold Saints.

Once Saori Kido truly became Athena, even Saints who harbored dissatisfaction toward her would gradually have their subconscious altered, eventually becoming hopelessly devoted and willing to burn everything away for her.

But Alex was different. His thirty points of Divinity protected his soul like an impenetrable suit of armor. He had long ceased to fear such subtle, insidious manipulation.

Expressionless, he said calmly, "The appearance of the Ophiuchus Temple is outside of my plans, so naturally, it must be eradicated immediately. Besides, Saori Kido cannot die just yet; she still has a use to me."

Hearing this, Shaka nodded slightly, the vermilion mark between his brows faintly flickering. He slowly opened his eyes, Alex’s reflection appearing in his pupils.

"Since you are aware of the implications, I shall say no more. If it is possible in the future, please ferry me across..."

Without waiting for Alex to agree, the Buddha light surrounding Shaka gradually withdrew. He closed his eyes again, his breathing seemingly stopping altogether. His figure flickered in and out of existence, as if he were no longer tethered to the mortal realm.

Alex shook his head slightly, chuckled, and stepped out of the Virgo Temple. After this conversation with Shaka, two of the strongest Gold Saints of the current era were now standing on the same front as him.

Even if Saori Kido reclaimed her seat as Athena, she would have to weigh the consequences carefully before trying to touch them.

Without the support of the strongest Gold Saints of this era, just how far could she really go?

...

Inside the Libra Temple, Shun finally broke free from the void. Before he could even figure out which pitch-black temple he was in, a golden meteor crashed into the ground with a deafening boom!

The Gold Cloth autonomously assembled itself into the shape of the Libra scales, radiating a gentle Cosmo to protect an unconscious youth lying on the ground.

The youth was bare-chested, his eyes tightly shut. It was none other than Shiryu, who had been saved by Dohko!

A moment later, the sound of footsteps echoed from outside the grand hall.

Three youths walked in, supporting each other. It was Seiya, Ikki, and Hyoga.

Seiya had finally awakened his Seventh Sense Cosmo and knocked off one of the golden horns of Aldebaran’s Cloth, successfully passing the trial.

Hyoga, on the other hand, had been utterly battered over and over again by Aiolia. Aiolia had clapped his hands in satisfaction and instructed Hyoga:

"You pass. Make sure you train hard from now on. Don’t drag your teacher’s reputation through the mud!"

Among the five indomitable Bronze Saints, with the exception of Shun, the other four were already covered in bruises and utterly exhausted.

But they had no time to rest. At this very moment, seven flames on the Zodiac clock at the peak of the sacred mountain had already gone out!
