Chapter 912: Chapter 912: So It Was a Scam

"Cover your mouth."

Yang Cheng reminded her, then grabbed her waist and began a fierce assault.

The room was already quiet, the slapping sounds were especially clear.

Feng Jiuge was afraid people outside would hear, so she covered her mouth tightly, her body tense, which made it even more thrilling.

The two messed around for over an hour, seeing it was almost ten o’clock, they couldn’t delay their important matters.

Yang Cheng accelerated his sprint, tightly hugging Feng Jiuge as they reached a peak, but since there was no bathroom inside the room, they could only clean up briefly, get dressed, and head out.

Walking out of the room, they found a sumptuous breakfast already laid on the dining table, with a note placed beside it.

Turned out Zhang Zhenggang and his wife had gone out to work, they left at eight o’clock, so even if there were noises inside the room, they wouldn’t have heard them.

"Yang Cheng, did you know all along that no one was home, and deliberately didn’t tell me?"

Feng Jiuge instantly figured out, with Yang Cheng’s ear strength, he surely heard everything going on outside.

"Hehe! You didn’t ask me!"

Yang Cheng flashed a broad smile, revealing his big white teeth.

"I’m going to kill you, you jerk! You deliberately kept it from me and wouldn’t let me make any sound. I almost suffocated earlier!"

Feng Jiuge, furious, raised her hand to hit him.

Seeing her truly angry, Yang Cheng quickly hugged her tightly, holding her securely in his arms, softly coaxing, "Senior sister, I was wrong, I won’t dare do it again, I was just teasing you because you’re too alluring."

"Besides, you were quite comfortable earlier, didn’t you think it was extra exciting with the possibility of someone outside?"

Upon hearing, Feng Jiuge glared at him, sat down at the table, and began eating breakfast.

"Stop babbling, hurry and eat, we need to get to the Cui Family soon, if someone cures Elder Cui, we’ll lose our chance."

Yang Cheng chuckled, sat across from her, and kept serving her food.

After breakfast, they left a note on the table again, feeling money was too tacky as a gift, so Yang Cheng left a pair of jade earrings for Zhang Zhenggang’s wife.

Though the earrings were from the Storage Jade Pendant, Yang Cheng had checked them to ensure there were no issues, the material was top-notch, likely worth quite a bit.

As a thank-you gift, they were indeed too valuable, but Yang Cheng didn’t care, thinking Zhang Zhenggang and his wife were nice people, gifting them a small present was nothing.

After descending the stairs, Feng Jiuge voluntarily sat in the driver’s seat.

"Let me drive, you got worn out earlier, I’m worried you might lack focus."

Yang Cheng chuckled, retorted, "How could I be tired? I could battle three hundred rounds, no problem, test me at a small grove if you don’t believe."

"Annoying! I’m pitying you, just sit back and rest properly."

Feng Jiuge glared at him, then started the car.

Don’t let Yang Cheng’s carefree appearance fool you, but she knew very well the Blood Soul Curse’s impact on him was becoming increasingly evident, even with the suppression mark, his stamina was still not as strong as before.

The old Cui residence was on the north side of Qing City, built against the mountain, covering a vast area.

The car slowly proceeded along the street paved with bluestone slabs, flanked by antique-style buildings, dark bricks and tiles, flying eaves and corners, everywhere exuding a rustic charm.

"How much farther?"

Yang Cheng opened his mouth and asked.

Feng Jiuge glanced at the navigation, answering, "About ten minutes, we’ll arrive after the intersection ahead."

The car turned into a narrow street, with low residences on both sides, cars parked densely along the roadside, making it especially congested.

Feng Jiuge slowed down, cautiously weaving through the traffic.

Just then, an old lady suddenly dashed out from the roadside, directly blocking the car.

Screech——!!!

Feng Jiuge slammed the brakes to the floor, the tires emitted a piercing friction sound against the ground, the car stopped less than half a meter away from the old lady.

But the old lady still screamed "Ah," swayed slightly, then slowly collapsed to the ground, clutching her head, moaning "Ouch, ouch."

"Hit someone! Hit someone!"

A sharp female voice rang out from the roadside, a woman in her forties rushed over, threw herself beside the old lady, and wailed.

"Mom! What’s wrong? Don’t scare me!"

Soon after, a middle-aged man hurried over, with a menacing expression, pounding on the car window.

"Get out! Get out! You hit someone and want to escape?"

Feng Jiuge looked shocked, her expression confused, evidently the first time encountering such a situation.

"Don’t panic, let me check."

Yang Cheng activated his X-ray Vision, scanned the elderly woman lying on the ground.

The old lady had a rosy complexion, a steady heartbeat, and a strong pulse, let alone injured, not even a scratch was evident.

Additionally, a small puddle of red liquid had somehow appeared next to her head, presumably chicken blood.

So it’s a scam!

Yang Cheng sneered inside.

This gang was surely skilled, with very coordinated teamwork.

The surrounding vehicles were stuck, drivers behind honked impatiently, craning their necks to see.

Passersby also gathered around, pointing at Yang Cheng’s car.

"What’s going on? Was someone hit?"

"Oh dear! The old lady is down, her head is bleeding."

"Young people these days, so careless driving."

"Indeed, poor old lady, at such age, enduring this ordeal."

The spectating crowd grew bigger, clogging the whole road.

The middle-aged woman cried louder, shouting while sobbing, "Mom! If anything happens to you, how will I survive? Rich people like you, driving luxury cars is impressive, huh? Hit someone and won’t even get out, no justice left?"

The middle-aged man continued pounding the car window, his voice loud enough for the whole street to hear.

"Get out! I’ll tell you, this matter won’t end today! No compensation, you’re not leaving!"

Yang Cheng glanced at Feng Jiuge, his lips curled into a sneer.

"I’ll go have a look."

He opened the car door and stepped out first.

The middle-aged man saw him coming, immediately rushed up, reaching for his collar.

"How could you drive like that? My mother’s head is bleeding! You murderer!"

Yang Cheng side-stepped him, calmly said, "The old lady dashed out herself, and the car was already stopped before hitting her."

"Nonsense! I saw you hit her with my own eyes!"

The middle-aged man glared fiercely, "Today if you don’t pay, you’re not leaving!"

"How much compensation?"

Yang Cheng’s expression was indifferent.

The middle-aged man glanced around, raised two fingers, "Twenty thousand!"

"Twenty thousand?"

Yang Cheng raised an eyebrow, his lips twisted into a mocking smile, "You go through the trouble of scamming for only twenty thousand? You really haven’t seen the world. You’re targeting such a small amount."

The crowd around was startled hearing this, thinking this young man’s mind might be addled.
