Chapter 910: Chapter 910: Witness the Corpse-Dissolving Water
Four men, some were on their knees howling in pain, some were curled up trembling, all in a pathetic state.
Yang Cheng quickly took out a bundle of rope from the storage space, something he had casually put in earlier, never imagining it would come in handy today.
He deftly tied up the four people, making the knots tight and secure, even adding a dead knot.
"Get up!"
Feng Jiuge kicked the people on the ground, speaking coldly, "Kneel properly!"
The four struggled to get up, kneeling side by side on the ground, heads lowered, not daring to look at the two, knowing full well they had encountered tough opponents today.
Yang Cheng and Feng Jiuge sat on the edge of the bed, looking down at these four uninvited guests, their gazes frighteningly cold.
"Speak, who sent you?"
Yang Cheng spoke, his voice not loud but with an irresistible oppressive feel.
The short fat man raised his head, his face still bruised, blood at the corner of his mouth, eyes filled with terror.
"No... no one sent us here, we just wanted to steal something, never intended to do anything else, please, spare us, we won’t dare again!"
Yang Cheng let out a cold laugh, "Do you think I’m a three-year-old? Stealing needs you to carry daggers? And where did you get this secret chamber?"
The short fat man opened his mouth but couldn’t come up with words.
"I ask again, who sent you?"
Yang Cheng’s voice cooled a few degrees.
The four looked at each other, none dared to speak up.
Feng Jiuge stood up, walked over to the short fat man, raised her hand and slapped.
Slap!
This slap was even harder than before, the short fat man’s face swelled instantly, blood oozing from the corner of his mouth.
"Speak!"
Feng Jiuge roared, yet Yang Cheng grabbed her hand.
"Senior sister, don’t dirty your hands, let me do it."
He smiled slightly, ready to kick.
The four instantly became like startled birds, knowing Yang Cheng’s kick was powerful, faces turning pale with fear.
"It’s... it’s the boss who made us do it!"
The short fat man finally couldn’t bear it, crying bleakly, "Boss says you’re from out of town, must carry lots of money, has us rob you, then..."
"Then kill us all?"
Yang Cheng retorted.
The short fat man shrank his body a bit, nodded, cold sweat flowing down his forehead.
Yang Cheng and Feng Jiuge exchanged glances, both their eyes flashed with a chill.
Indeed, this place is a shady inn.
"How many have you killed before?"
Yang Cheng asked.
"No... none... this is the first time..."
Yang Cheng sneered, "The first time yet so skilled? You think I’m foolish?"
He stood, walked to the short fat man, looking down at him, "I’m giving you one last chance to tell the truth, or else..."
He didn’t finish, but his icy tone explained everything.
The short fat man trembled all over, finally collapsing.
"I’ll talk... I’ll say everything! This inn has operated for three years, we... we’ve killed seven people, all from out of town, carrying substantial money. The boss selects targets, arranges people here, we execute, after killing, dismember the corpse, then bury it outside the city."
Upon these words, Feng Jiuge’s face instantly grew somber, anger surging forth.
Seven people.
Seven lives in three years!
"Are you even human?"
She gritted her teeth, eyes filled with wrath.
"We were forced... boss said if we don’t do it, he’d kill us too, we killed seven, didn’t get much money, still had to serve him."
The short fat man cried, mucus and tears blurring his face.
Yang Cheng sneered, "Don’t talk like you’re innocent, if you didn’t want to do it, you could’ve reported to the police the first time he sent you to kill, in the end it’s greed, thinking lives don’t count for anything."
At this he took a deep breath, suppressing his inner anger, "You should surrender, confess the mastermind, atone for your crimes."
"Su... surrender?"
The four’s faces changed dramatically.
"Yes, surrender."
Yang Cheng nodded.
"No... no way... we’ve killed so many, we won’t survive, and the boss won’t spare us!"
The tall skinny one struggled to say.
"You don’t surrender, I’ll kill you now."
Yang Cheng’s voice was eerily calm, as if speaking of something trivial.
The four froze, not daring to make a sound, clearly reading "you’re bluffing" in their eyes.
When they handled corpses before, the four were busy enough, exhausted all night, could this kid kill all four of them without alarming anyone, make them disappear from this small inn?
Yang Cheng noticed their thoughts, a cold smile curving his lips.
He reached out from the storage space, took a small ceramic bottle, gently shaking it in his hand.
"You know what this is?"
The four shook their heads.
Yang Cheng said plainly, "This is Corpse-Dissolving Water, just one drop can dissolve a body completely, not even bone fragments left."
The four’s faces changed drastically, eyes filled with terror.
"Don’t believe?"
Yang Cheng raised his eyebrows, pulling out a dagger, walking towards the short fat man.
"Wh... what do you want?"
The short fat man stared in horror, desperately shrinking back but his body was tied, couldn’t move.
"Just now this hand wanted to touch my senior sister? I’ll give you a lesson."
Just as the words left his mouth, Yang Cheng raised the knife, lowering it.
Snap!
The short fat man’s left thumb fell, blood spurting out.
"Ah—!!!"
The room echoed with a piercing scream, the short fat man shaking in pain, face twisted.
Yang Cheng expressionless, uncapped the ceramic bottle, dropping just a droplet of Corpse-Dissolving Water on the severed thumb.
Sizzle—
White smoke rose, the severed thumb dissolving rapidly, in mere seconds, turning into black liquid, leaving behind no trace.
The room was silent.
The four men stared wide-eyed, faces pale as paper, lips trembling, unable to utter a word.
They’d killed many, seen bloodshed, but never something this terrifying.
Just one droplet, could make a finger vanish completely, not even bone left.
If dropped on the whole body...
Thinking this, the four couldn’t stop shaking, a warm liquid trickling from their pant legs, filling the air with a stench.
"Now, still think I’m bluffing?"
Yang Cheng toyed with the ceramic bottle, his gaze sweeping over the four, a cold smile on his lips.
"No... no more... we dare not anymore!"
"We’ll surrender! Please spare us... we’ll do whatever you say!"
The four kowtowed fiercely, foreheads hitting the floor with resounding thuds.
