"Sure, but... Xinghua Street. Why does that sound so familiar?"

Qin Sitong didn’t yet know where this Xinghua Street was. When she found out, her jaw would nearly hit the floor.

"You’ll know when we get there. The foot traffic on Xinghua Street probably isn’t as high as it is here, though. As long as you don’t mind."

Given who lived near Xinghua Street, it was a given that foot traffic in the area wouldn’t be particularly high.

’But Yun Zijin was thinking about that handsome young soldier who used to come to the shop every day for a Wangyou Milk Tea. If they opened a branch on Xinghua Street, maybe she’d get to see him again.’

Qin Sitong wanted to finalize the location for the branch store as soon as possible, so she eagerly asked Yun Zijin to take her to see the property.

Anyway, the current tenant was already planning to leave, which was a convenient opportunity for them.

But... as Qin Sitong followed Yun Zijin’s car, she felt more and more that something wasn’t quite right.

"Are you sure you have a shop around here?"

’Yun Zijin must be crazy,’ Qin Sitong thought.

"Of course I’m sure. I even came to see it once before, but Mei Lin has been managing it since, so I haven’t been back."

Of course Yun Zijin was sure. After all, this street was so special that she might forget other places, but never this one.

"So, do you really think it’s a good idea to open a milk tea shop here?"

’It just feels... a little inappropriate, doesn’t it?’

’Besides, the people who live here probably don’t like drinking milk tea, do they?’

Qin Sitong, on the other hand, felt that their anti-hair loss ginger tea might have a better market here than Wangyou Milk Tea.

But the anti-hair loss ginger tea had a very strong smell. Even if they wanted to open a shop for it, they couldn’t choose this location.

The people living here were all important figures. Only a fool would do something so stupid.

"What’s wrong with it? The shop I mentioned whose lease is expiring was originally a liquor store. We’re just selling milk tea, so we have even less to worry about."

Besides, this was her property. She could open whatever kind of shop she wanted, and it was no one else’s business.

"I’ll take a look first. If it’s suitable, putting the branch store here isn’t out of the question."

The main reason was that Yun Zijin had heard that quite a few people had recently been asking about her Wangyou Milk Tea and Baonu Tea.

However, Lu Yunque had suppressed most of these inquiries, so no one dared to confront Yun Zijin directly.

In the end, Qin Sitong decided she had to see the shop before making a final decision on the location.

This was the first branch store they were opening. Qin Sitong took it very seriously, so she was being extremely cautious about the location.

A silver-white luxury van slowly pulled to a stop. Yun Zijin and Qin Sitong got out from a rear door, while Zero One and Ling Er automatically fell into step behind Yun Zijin.

"This is the shop. Their lease is up at the end of this month, and they aren’t renewing. You can take it and do whatever you want with it."

From the outside, one could only see many liquor jars. As for what kind of liquor was inside, there was no way of knowing.

Qin Sitong glanced at the shop. Since the tenants hadn’t moved out yet, it wouldn’t be right for her to go inside.

However, she could still get a rough idea of the shop’s size and layout.

For the milk tea shop they envisioned, the space was large enough. But it would need renovations; otherwise, there would be no way to make milk tea.

Renovations would take time. By that calculation, it would be at least another month before their new shop could open.

After the renovations were done, they would still need to air the place out to get rid of the formaldehyde.

"When are they scheduled to move out?"

Qin Sitong was already thinking about the renovations. After all, with Yun Zijin around, she didn’t have to worry about someone else snatching the place up before her.

"I’ll ask Mei Lin."

Yun Zijin had only heard a brief mention of it from Mei Lin, so she wasn’t clear on the specifics herself.

Yun Zijin picked up her phone, about to message Mei Lin.

"Don’t worry about it. You can ask her when you get home tonight. Mei Lin is usually so busy, we shouldn’t bother her over something so small."

Qin Sitong knew that Mei Lin managed all of Yun Zijin’s properties and was usually so busy she was practically a ghost.

But she had to admit, Mei Lin was exceptionally capable.

She’d heard that many people had tried to poach her, but none had succeeded.

"All right, I’ll ask for you when I get home."

Since even Qin Sitong didn’t want to disturb Mei Lin, Yun Zijin certainly wasn’t going to add to her workload, so she dropped the idea of messaging her.

Fu Ze, who had been with them the whole time, had a thoughtful look in his eyes the moment he learned Yun Zijin had brought them to Xinghua Street and said she had a shop here.

Before, he had always just thought Yun Zijin was rich and only knew how to buy various real estate properties to collect rent.

But now... Xinghua Street was not a place an ordinary person could get their hands on.

First of all, the important figures living in the area meant that anyone who wanted to buy property here would have their background thoroughly vetted. Only after they were confirmed to have no issues would the purchase be approved.

’And Yun Zijin... she clearly doesn’t seem like the type to buy just one shop.’

"Even though they haven’t moved out yet, we can walk around the area first."

Since they were going to open a shop here, understanding the tastes of the local residents was part of the job.

"Tongtong, didn’t we agree to go on a date today? We can check out the local scene after this shop’s tenants move out."

Hearing Qin Sitong say she wanted to walk around, alarm bells instantly went off in Fu Ze’s head. ’This is not a place for a casual stroll.’

If they weren’t careful, they could be mistaken for people with ulterior motives. If they got "invited for tea," that would be just perfect.

"Right! I... I just checked the almanac. We should just look at the shop. It’s not a good day for a stroll. You two... go on your date. I have to go find my Mr. Lu."

With that, Yun Zijin signaled to Zero One and the others and made a quick retreat.

Fu Ze had driven there as well. After Yun Zijin left with her people, he pulled Qin Sitong into his car.

’A stroll? They could do that anywhere, but definitely not on Xinghua Street.’

Before Qin Sitong could even react, everything had been decided for her.

By the time she finally remembered what kind of place Xinghua Street was, she was already in Fu Ze’s car.

"What’s going on? The almanac in my phone’s calendar definitely didn’t say it was a bad day for a stroll."

Qin Sitong wasn’t an idiot. For Yun Zijin and Fu Ze to react so suddenly, something had to be fishy.

"The people who live on that street are all important figures. If we linger there too long, let alone just walk around, we might attract unwanted attention."

"We might even get ’invited for tea.’"

If word of that got out, his entire reputation would be ruined.

On top of that, Lu Yunque and the others would probably use it as a joke at his expense for the rest of his life, reminding him every time they met.

Fu Ze would absolutely not allow such a mortifying experience to happen.

「Meanwhile」

True to her word, Yun Zijin had Zero One drive her to the Lu Building.

It was lunchtime at the Lu Building, and when Yun Zijin walked in, many people saw her. All those who recognized her stopped to greet her.

By the time she reached the elevator, Yun Zijin felt like her face was stiff from smiling.

’I never knew the walk from the Lu Building’s main entrance to the elevators could be this long.’
