Cui Cui’s boyfriend was the one who booked the table for this birthday banquet. Even I’m just riding her coattails. Are you sure you don’t want to grace us with your presence?

It was unclear what Ren Hui was thinking, praising Li Cui while putting herself down.

The setup was so obvious, it would have been difficult for Yun Zijin not to see right through it.

"Why don’t you take a look at the sign for the room you’re standing in front of?"

Yun Zijin motioned for the two of them to look up.

Ren Hui and Li Cui instinctively looked up and saw the words, "Exclusive Room for Gold Members."

The two of them turned to look at Yun Zijin and Qin Sitong. "You have a Gold Membership?"

"We come here to eat pretty often. What’s so strange about getting a membership card?"

Su Mengyao didn’t even stand up, but her words were enough to make Ren Hui and Li Cui grind their teeth in frustration.

The very thing they thought was worth bragging about—visiting just once—was, in the eyes of Yun Zijin’s group, just a place they could come to eat whenever they pleased.

The difference between them was immediately obvious.

"So, do you still think we need to grace you with our presence?"

"You should try to hide the scheming looks on your faces. Otherwise, I might actually start to think you take everyone for an idiot."

Yun Zijin and Qin Sitong’s back-to-back remarks made Ren Hui and Li Cui’s necks flush red with embarrassment.

Just then, a waiter arrived with their food, and the dishes Yun Zijin’s group had ordered soon covered the entire table.

"Aren’t you two going back? If you don’t hurry, the food in your room is going to get cold.

Or what, were you hoping to stick around and freeload a meal off us? If so, I’m afraid that won’t work. We didn’t order anything for you."

Yun Zijin put on an apologetic expression, but the act was so transparently fake that it made Ren Hui and Li Cui understand her offer for them to stay and eat was not at all genuine.

"Hmph! We were kind enough to invite you to dinner. If you didn’t want to come, you could have just said so, but this... This is just insulting!"

"Don’t you go making baseless accusations. We’re just telling it like it is.

Am I supposed to worry about you feeling insecure if I decide to buy a million-yuan bag?"

’What a joke. Such twisted logic.’

Su Mengyao shot Yun Zijin and Qin Sitong a sympathetic glance. ’Living in the same dorm with people like that for over three years... that must have been so exhausting.’

"You!"

"’You’ what? Believe it or not, if you keep running your mouth out here, I can have the staff ’ask’ you to leave."

As a Gold Member of Qingjin Pavilion, Su Mengyao had the right to do so.

However, the patrons of Qingjin Pavilion were generally quite refined, so Su Mengyao had never had to exercise this right before.

For them to be the first to make her use it could be considered their honor.

Ren Hui and Li Cui knew it was no longer possible to cause trouble for Yun Zijin and Qin Sitong today.

Although they were resentful, they could only retreat in disgrace.

Once the two were a safe distance away, Su Mengyao finally vented, "What kind of classmates are they? Their intentions were written all over their faces."

"We were all just poor students back then. That girl with the long, wavy hair—her family had a little money before they went bankrupt.

Some people get a little money and think they’re better than everyone else. You know the type."

Qin Sitong kept her explanation brief, clearly not wanting to elaborate.

"No wonder her family went bankrupt. Raising a daughter like that says a lot about the family’s character."

’The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree,’ as they say.

"Enough about them. Let’s just eat."

Tu Tutu didn’t want to dwell on such trivial matters; she just felt hungry enough to eat a horse.

Yun Zijin had a habit of napping after lunch, so Su Mengyao dragged the others straight to a themed hotel to get some rooms.

The hotel was called "Sijunzi." The entire complex was themed around the plum blossom, orchid, bamboo, and chrysanthemum, with four main buildings erected in the four cardinal directions. At the very center was a natural lake that, when viewed from above, looked like a piece of flawless Imperial Green jade.

If Su Mengyao hadn’t led the way, Yun Zijin would never have known a hotel like this even existed in Dijing.

"It’s pretty nice here, right? Which theme should we choose?"

Although Su Mengyao knew about this hotel, she had only been a few times because her father and brother were very strict.

The few times she had come before, she was always with Su Jingyun, and they only ever had a meal, never stayed the night.

Now that she had the chance, Su Mengyao wanted to experience every single theme!

"Plum, Orchid, Bamboo, and Chrysanthemum... Let’s go with the Plum theme, then. We can come back for the others when we have another chance."

"Deal!"

Hearing Yun Zijin imply they would come back again, Su Mengyao’s eyes lit up.

’Next time, as long as she says she’s going out with Yun Zijin, her family won’t have a good reason to stop her.’

Qin Sitong and Tu Tutu had no objections. They were happy to experience any of the themes, so it made no difference to them.

With no objections, the two decision-makers, Su Mengyao and Yun Zijin, led the others through the entrance of the Sijunzi hotel.

"Hello, and welcome to the Sijunzi Hotel!"

As soon as they entered, they were met with an enthusiastic greeting from the staff.

The four of them went straight to the front desk.

"Hello, we’d like a four-bedroom suite. The best one you have available."

Yun Zijin slapped her Black Gold Card directly onto the counter.

Although the receptionist didn’t recognize this particular black card, she could tell with a single glance that it was a top-tier bank card from a world she could never touch.

"Based on your requirements, we have one deluxe VIP suite available. The rate is 188,888 a night. How many days will you be staying?"

Yun Zijin looked toward Su Mengyao and the others.

It didn’t matter to her; it all depended on what Su Mengyao and the others wanted to do.

"Let’s just book one night for now. We can extend our stay later if we want to."

If they booked for too long and something came up that they needed to attend to, it would be a waste of money.

Getting money back from a hotel was always a hassle.

Yun Zijin didn’t want to have to argue with the hotel staff over the money later.

The other three had no objections. Since Yun Zijin was treating, her word was final.

"We’ll take this one, then. Go ahead and charge the card."

Yun Zijin handed the Black Gold Card to the receptionist, and a moment later, the payment went through successfully.
