Reverend Insanity: Dream Gu

Chapter 259: Chaos Fire Immortal Gu II

  • Next Chapter

According to Lin Yan’s final recipe, Chaos Fire Immortal Gu would use Flame Path as its base while containing the mysteries of countless other paths. It would devour and merge with the many wondrous flames scattered throughout the Gu world, gaining their unique qualities and transforming with every new flame it absorbed.

Once it reached its ultimate form, even the Chaos beyond the Gu world would become its fuel. Through fire, it would contain the mysteries of Great Dao, refine them, and turn their power into its own.

This was why its recipe remained incomplete even after five hundred years of deduction. Lin Yan had never personally encountered Chaos in his previous life. He knew of its existence and understood how terrifying it was, but that alone was not enough to design an Immortal Gu capable of consuming it.

Chaos was the most important part of the entire recipe. Without understanding its true nature, Lin Yan could never complete the final refinement recipe, no matter how many years he spent deducing them. Fortunately, he knew that an opportunity to personally encounter Chaos would arise during this life.

"Refining Chaos Fire Immortal Gu requires Chaos Fire, Fire Control Immortal Gu, and Transform Fire Immortal Gu as its three main refinement materials, along with tens of thousands of different Otherworldly Flame Gu. Even the Endless Fire Domain was created partly to gather everything needed for its refinement."

As Lin Yan examined the plans left by his previous self, he gradually understood why these four inheritance had been preserved.

Cloud Dream Heavenly Palace Gu House, Great Dream Immortal Realm, Endless Fire Secluded Domain of Heaven and Earth, and Chaos Fire Immortal Gu had never been separate creations. Each fulfilled a different purpose, yet all four supported one another. As they approached completion, the connections between them would only grow deeper.

Unfortunately, Endless Fire Domain had barely begun to take shape. Completing all nine layers would require vast resources, countless years of development, and many rare Otherworldly Flames that Lin Yan currently had no way to obtain.

Even so, the six existing layers already formed a tremendous Flame Path resource point. Once they completely stabilized, they could continuously nurture Otherworldly Flame Gu, immortal materials, and all kinds of Flame Path resources.

The different flames within the domain would influence one another and slowly transform their surroundings. As these changes accumulated, new environments suitable for even rarer flames would gradually emerge. Given enough time, an Otherworldly Flame Immortal Gu might even be born naturally within Endless Fire Domain.

Endless Fire Secluded Domain of Heaven and Earth was not the only place developed within Flame Sovereign Blessed Land. The Raging Fire Formation, Sunflame Valley, Divine Firmament Thunder Pool, and Great Dream Immortal Realm were equally extraordinary. Once fully developed, each could become a super resource point.

The problem was that Flame Sovereign Blessed Land could barely support everything he had built within it.

After attaining Wisdom Path Grandmaster, Lin Yan had completely rearranged the immortal aperture. Resource points that required similar materials were placed closer together, environments that interfered with one another were separated, and regions that could benefit each other were connected. He also dispersed the population throughout the four great regions instead of allowing most people to gather in the few areas with the best living conditions.

Even the Molten Flame Mountains and Thunderous Hills could now sustain permanent settlements. Around each settlement, Lin Yan established several mortal resource points and arranged a small ecosystem suited to the region. The inhabitants maintained the resource points, while the materials produced there provided them with food, Gu worms, cultivation resources, and everything else needed to survive.

Rather than changing the surrounding environment solely for the inhabitants, Lin Yan arranged matters so that the people and the environment sustained each other.

The idea sounded simple, but carrying it out across an entire blessed land was extremely difficult. Flame Sovereign Blessed Land contained millions of people, countless Gu worms, several races, hundreds of resource points, and environments belonging to different paths. Moving even one resource point could disturb several others, while relocating a large population could change the consumption of resources across an entire region.

His Formation Path Grandmaster attainment allowed him to connect the different regions into a single vast arrangement, while his Wisdom Path Grandmaster attainment helped him calculate the changes caused by every adjustment.

The improvement was obvious. Conflicts between resource points fell sharply, unnecessary consumption decreased, and materials that had once gone to waste could now be sent elsewhere and put to use. The growing pressure upon Flame Sovereign Blessed Land finally eased.

Before this reorganization, serious problems would have begun appearing within a month. Now, the blessed land could continue operating for several months and might even last close to a year if nothing unexpected happened.

However, Lin Yan understood what he had truly accomplished. He had found a better way to use the space he already possessed, but he had not increased that space.

"These measures can only delay the problem. What I truly need is a way to expand Flame Sovereign Blessed Land size."
