Chapter 257: Endless Fire Domain

"I can finally begin developing the Endless Fire Domain."

Endless Fire Domain was one of the two secluded domains of heaven and earth conceived by Lin Yan’s previous self. Creating it in its complete form was impossible with his current resources, but secluded domains could be built over time. He could lay down its structure first, then continue strengthening it as his cultivation rose and he obtained more resources. His Wisdom Path Grandmaster attainment allowed him to calculate how the different flames would affect one another, while his Formation Path Grandmaster attainment allowed him to arrange them into a single stable system.

Lin Yan immediately began reorganizing the northern region of Flame Sovereign Blessed Land. He moved each resource point according to its characteristics, placing compatible flames together and separating those that clashed. Most resources connected to Otherworldly Flames were gathered at the northern end of the Flame Desert. Color-Changing Fire, World Purifying Heavenly Fire, Phoenix Fire, Nine Dragons Lightning Gang Flame, and several other powerful flames became the main resource points. Blood Flame, Floating Fire, Flying Flame, Essence Fire, Primal Fire, Heart Fire, and numerous lesser flames spread throughout the surrounding regions. Large quantities of related Gu worms and Gu materials were also moved there, including Fallen Heart Flame Gu and Sea Heart Flame Gu.

Once the resource points reached their new positions, the northern Flame Desert transformed into a vast multicolored sea of fire. Each flame occupied its own region, occasionally meeting and merging with another along their borders before separating once more. Terrifying heat twisted the air above the desert, while the radiance of countless flames illuminated the entire northern sky. ℯ

However, the existing flames alone were not enough. Lin Yan mobilized nearly a million Hairy Men and ordered them to refine Otherworldly Flame Gu on a massive scale. He also searched Treasure Yellow Heaven for recipes he lacked, using the Wisdom Path immortal materials from Startling Divinity Blessed Land to purchase them. Every new recipe was immediately distributed among the Hairy Men, and an endless stream of newly refined Gu worms soon poured into the Flame Desert.

Through Lin Yan’s continuous adjustments, the enormous sea of fire divided into six layers according to the rank and strength of the flames. Each layer nurtured different Otherworldly Flames, while the corresponding Gu worms gathered and reproduced within them. After consuming an immense amount of resources and correcting several unstable areas, the six layers finally reached a stable balance.

Secluded domains of heaven and earth Endless Fire Domain had begun to take form.

Lin Yan carefully examined the six layers. They appeared magnificent, but he knew how little he had actually completed. Compared with the Endless Fire Domain conceived by his previous self, the current sea of fire was only a small fragment.

The true Endless Fire Domain contained nine layers corresponding to the nine ranks of Otherworldly Flames. The flames weakened toward the outside and grew stronger toward the center. Ghost Fire, White Fire, Coal Ball Fire, and other Rank One flames occupied the outermost layer, followed by Rank Two flames in the second layer and Rank Three flames in the third. This continued until the ninth and innermost layer, where only Rank Nine Otherworldly Flames could exist.

Collecting flames of every rank was only one of the requirements. Endless Fire Domain demanded an astonishing variety and quantity of resources. Every major type of flame needed enough material to create a sea of fire stretching roughly fifty kilometres, along with tens of thousands of corresponding Otherworldly Flame Gu. The complete domain also required at least ten thousand varieties of mortal Gu worms and Gu materials, together with several hundred kinds of immortal materials. Only after these countless flames began interacting, nourishing one another, and forming a stable cycle could Endless Fire Domain display the power of a secluded domain of heaven and earth.

Lin Yan possessed nowhere near enough resources. Although he had established the first six layers, the higher ones were little more than empty shells. The sixth layer contained only a handful of Rank Six Otherworldly Flame immortal materials, barely enough to keep it intact. Rank Seven and Rank Eight resources were entirely absent, while obtaining even one of the Rank Nine flames required for the final layer lay far beyond his current reach.

An even greater problem remained. The flames gathered within Endless Fire Domain differed greatly in nature. Some strengthened one another, some consumed one another, and others could not coexist at all. Gu formations could keep them under control for a time, but no arrangement alone could transform such an enormous collection of resources into a true secluded domain of heaven and earth.

Endless Fire Domain still lacked its most important component—a core Gu capable of controlling the nine layers and maintaining balance among every flame within them.
