Chapter 1206: Ch 1206: Strongest Mercenary’s First Disaster

Hanz and his wife lived inside a forest and not a city. His main reason for doing this was quite simple. As he did not have any real loyalty to anyone, keeping his beloved wife under someone’s else’s controlled territory was very scary and risky for him.

And his wife was actually an wood elf who had a great affinity for the nature and the forest. That was also one of the reasons why she had no trouble living in the middle of the forest. Instead, she actually enjoyed it.

The forest where this house was located, it was quite a dangerous place. As his house was surrounded by a strong barrier, it was safe. But stepping foot outside the barrier immediately invited death.

So this was the reason why Hanz had not prepared any other defensive measures. And this was something he had regretted a lot in the future.

One day, when he was out on the battlefield for a quick job, his wife was staying in the house and was resting. She had felt a little sick for the last few days so Hanz was worried. But one of his good war buddies had asked for his help, so after thinking a little, he had decided to help him out as it was very quick job.

But when he returned back, he found out that the forest had been attacked. By the destruction left behind, the attackers had both numbers and power in their side. So this was a very terrible situation.

As soon as he had realised this, he had used his strongest speed to return to his house and check on his wife. And then, to his absolute despair, he found out that his wife was gone and there were even signs of struggle.

This made his heart to go cold. Looking around the house, he found a letter. In this letter, the masterminds had not only revealed their identity they had also demanded quite a few things from him if Hanz wanted his wife to stay alive.

This whole situation was so troublesome that Hanz was about to lose his mind. He had collected and saved hundreds of skill with his copy ability and they were going about to go berserk.

But then, he forcefully calmed himself down. Getting angry and lashing out here was not going to help the situation at all. What he needed to do right now was to keep his cool do what he could to rescue his wife.

As for following the orders which were written in the letter, there was no way Hanz was going to follow them.

Following those orders did not mean his wife was going to get released. He would just dug a deeper hole for himself and her beloved wife that way.

With this in mind, he left his house and activated a skill called Perfect Invisibility. With this, he was able to hide his presence perfectly. Then next, he used another skill called Area Search to find the location of his wife.

There was no way the kidnappers had managed to go too far in such a short period of time. So he did not need to search for too long and very soon he found the presence of his wife in a nearby small fortress.

This fortress was supposed to be abandoned but it looked like his enemies had taken it over and were staying here. The presence of his wife was quite weak, so it looked like these people had used forced on her.

This fact almost made Hanz to lose his mind again but he managed to hold on. Then he silently entered the fortress without letting anyone know.

As he was going toward where his wife was, suddenly he sensed a presence and stopped. This was a very familiar presence.

So even with all his worries, he still changed his path and went to check it out. And there he found the "war buddy" whom he was helping out today.

And from the conversation that this guy was having, it was clear that he was an accomplish in the kidnapping of his wife and the reason why he had asked for Hanz’s help was to keep him away from the house and accomplish exactly this.

Hanz had always been a very cautious and cold person. But after spending so much time in various war, he was becoming a bit mellower. And this was the only reason why he was thinking of this man as a friend.

But that turned out to be a massive mistake. He had really gone soft and had started to treat people who had fought with him as comrade even though there was no reason to do so.

And now, he was paying the price for his naivety. Hanz really felt like killing this backstabbing bastard now but he again held back as saving his wife was more important.

With this in mind, he quickly find the room where he was feeling her weak presence and as soon as he reached the room, he was unable to hold his anger back anymore.

That was just how terrible her condition was. She was bruised in many parts more than 50 of her bones were broken. She was not anyone powerful like Hanz, so she had no way to heal these wounds.

So after seeing this, how could he held his anger back. He quickly used some healing skills on his wife and send her away with a space translocation skill that he had copied before.

And then, he launched a massacre. He killed all the people in the castle without sparing a single one. And that number also included his former war buddy.

There were more perpetrators behind the scenes but for the time being he let them go. He was already aware of who they were and in future he was definitely going to take his revenge. But now was not the time and wanted to beside his wife at this moment.

With the same teleportation skill, Hanzreturned back. After returning, he had expected to see his wife feeling relieved with all her kidnappers dead but instead, what greeted him was her sobbing and crying continuously.

And after seeing Hanz, she started to apologise continuously. As Hanz was felling bewildered why she was doing this, Hanz was told the news that his wife was actually pregnant and currently she could not feel the life force of her children inside her. And the reason for that was mostly the bearing and torture that she had gotten.

It was quite hard for a human and an elf to have a children together. So this was something completely unexpected to him. And as he never used his presence sensing skills in normal time, he had no idea about this.

So what was Hanz going to do after knowing this ?
