Chapter 1202: Ch 1202: Reis Grail (1)

Reis Grail was born in a pretigeous mage family in a universe which was quite old and well developed. Her grandfather and the head of the family was counted among the strongest of the universe so there was no doubt that she was born with a golden spoon.

And that was not all. From the very beginning, Reis was considered to be an once in a million year genius. Her affinity for the magic was extremely high and she was capable of using top tier magic when she was only 3 years old.

So her early life was that of an absolute genius who was growing up in the best possible environment. There could not be a spawn point better than this. Most people would think so.

But those people had no idea about very hidden and secretive things were happening in the background. And they also did not have any idea that the Grest Sorcerer Trismagostus Grail had a time duration when he would become extremely weak.

But some of his enemies had came to learn about this very important news and they had immediately took advantage of this god given situation.

So in the day of Reis’s 20th birthday, the Grail manner floating in the sky was attacked. And this was surprisingly also the day when Trismagostus was at his weakest point.

But even in this state, he ended up facing off against the attackers and managed to defeat them with his planning and quick thinking.

But when almost 90 percent of the assailants were defeated and the family members were starting to feel confident again, suddenly a man wearing a black long coat appeared who was holding a small red sword in his hand and had an irritating smirk on his face.

Seeing this man and sensing his hostility, the hope in everyone’s heart disappeared. That was because this man named Lulichen Casparony was also a Great Sorcerer and was just slightly weaker than Trismagostus at his peak.

So in his current weakened state, he stood no chance. And specially because this sly fox had even brought his trump card, the "Crimson Cursed Blade".

Against this absolute power, Trismagostus did his best. But from the very beginning of this battle, it was clear that he was at an great disadvantage and this was not something that he could overcome with just his experience and willpower.

And while he was busy holding Lulichen off, the other attackers again went after the family members and casualities started to appear.

Reis was also fighting and for her current inexperienced self, she was doing incredibly well. But she was not strong enough to change the current tide of this losing battle.

Reis also understood this and started to become more and more impatient. How could she not be ? If she did not do anything and the situation did not change, everything she loved would disappear. There was no way she could accept that.

And with her quite inexperienced mind, she was not sure what to do. She slaughtered people after people and used devestating magic again and again without worrying about her mana reserves. She was ready to burn her soul away if that was going to kill one extra enemy here.

This kind of ferocity in her very first battle did allow Reis to perform extremely well in this life or death battle. But unfortunately, the opposite side was way too strong.

They used numbers, poison, sneak attacks and all the other kinds of underhanded means to gain advantage over her. And in this situation, Reis took a fatal damage for the first time in her whole life.

As soon as this happened, the look on face of all the members of the Grail family changed. Suddenly they became too aggressive. So much so that all the elegance of a mage was gone from them and some of the people even started biting their enemies like savages.

This was such a shocking thing that the attackers actually became fearful and took a step back. Taking this opportunity, all the family members including even the weakened and injured Great Sorcerer stepped inside their manor and an extremely powerful barrier covered the whole house.

This barrier would not be able to stop Lulichen for a long time but as this was something that Trismagostus had prepared at his peak, it would be able to hold on for a few minutes. And a few minutes was all that the people here needed.

So, without wasting any time, before a surprised and bewildered Reis, her beloved grandfather went to his knees and hugged her injured body that was lying on the ground.

Her father, mother, uncles, aunts and even the brothers and sisters who were not very fond of her and were jealous of her talent joined in. Reis had no idea what was happening but her heart was suddenly feeling very cold and tears were coming out from her eyes continuously.

Reis was a proud genius. Crying was something she never did. But on this night, she was unable to stop her eyes from flooding. Even though her body was feeling warm because of the hugs, her heart was feeling absolutely cold. So cold that it was actually hurting her.

Looking at her tear stained face, all the family members present laughed. It turned out that this arrogant genius of theirs was not heartless. So they had not failed in properly raising her.

Then with the same smile on their faces, all of them suddenly pierced their chests and brought their heart out. In the power system that they used, heart was the source of all magic. And now, all the family members performed their last magic to take their hearts out.

Then they presented that to a devestated Reis. Even with blood flowing from their chest and mouths, they maintained a gentle and loving smile on their faces as they gave their hearts to this genius lady who was their pride and joy.

Reis looked around and saw her gentle mother, her strict father, her irritating half brother, her cunning step mother, her cousin sister who hated her guts, her gentle younger sister who always clung to her annoyingly and many more people like that who had given their all for raising her and were giving their everything including their hope, hatred and desires to her now.

And Reis could not reject it. There was no way she could reject the last wish of all her family members. There was no way she could let this grand compound magic that was taught to everyone but her to go to waste.

So with a shaking body, she extended her dainty and beautiful hand and took a hold of her grandfather’s heart.

So what was going to happen after this ?
