A few days passed by uneventfully, until it was finally time for Nora to resume school. Evelyn took care of her in the morning, dressing her up and preparing her for school.

When they came out of the house, Ethan was leaning against his bike, waiting for them. A faint smile appeared on his face, and he nodded.

"Good morning, Princess."

Nora grinned, a little excited. "Good morning, Dad!"

She hugged his legs, and Ethan patted her head gently. Turning to his wife, he said, "Alright, let’s go."

They got onto the bike, with Nora riding between her parents. Ethan drove out of the compound, locking the gate behind him with the automatic key.

They moved past Evelyn’s shop, and in a few minutes, they arrived at the school gates.

Ethan parked the bike, once again met with the sight of many cars parked around. The street had been narrowed down by the large number of cars blocking it, making one wonder if a wedding function was happening somewhere.

Ethan got off his bike with the Evelyn and Nora, then led them inside. At the gates, they were stopped by an attendant who requested for her file and gave them an ID card after confirming it.

Hanging it around Nora’s neck, Ethan smiled. "Don’t lose this, okay?"

Nora nodded, holding it tight.

They entered into the school compound, then entered a familiar hall. Other parents were also there, with some of them giving advice to their kids.

Ethan approached the old woman who had given him the document, then asked, "We’re here to collect her school uniform."

The woman stared at Nora for a moment, then nodded. "Go over to that room. They’ll give her the uniform and get her changed."

Ethan nodded and led them towards the door the woman had pointed to. Evelyn and Nora entered while he stayed outside.

About ten minutes later, they reemerged with Nora wearing the royal blue shirt and skirt.

He smiled at the sight, feeling a flicker of pride. "That’s my kiddo."

He patted her head, earning a bright, toothy grin.

"Well, should we take her to class?" Evelyn asked, feeling a little nervous.

This was the first day of her daughter at school, after all.

Ethan patted her shoulder. "No need. I think that lady is the one directing them."

They walked up to the young staff member who had a smile on her face as she checked the ID cards of the students and gave them directions.

When Ethan, Evelyn, and Nora reached her, she smiled and said, "Your ID, please."

Nora held it up for her to see. "This."

The woman checked her registered class, then said, "Class 4-A. Down the hall to your left. Good luck, kiddo."

Nora smiled and took a step forward. Evelyn tried to follow her, but was stopped by the woman.

"Parents aren’t allowed to escort their kids to the classroom. It’s alright. Your daughter is a bright one so she’ll be fine."

Ethan held Evelyn’s shoulder and nodded. "Let’s go. We’ll come pick her up once it’s almost evening."

Evelyn pursed her lips, then nodded. "Alright. Let’s go."

With that, they turned around and left the hall, quickly reaching the gates. Ethan got on his bike and started the engine. Evelyn sat behind him, her gaze on the school building.

"It’s her first day. Not yours, you know that?" Ethan joked, shooting her a smirk.

She glared at him and bit his shoulder, causing him to wince.

Keeping his mouth shut, he drove away from the school.

They soon got back to the shop where Cassandra was already waiting, having opened up the whole place by herself.

"Oh, goodness. You could have waited for us to come, you know?" Evelyn said with a smile. "Anyway, thanks so much."

Cassandra grinned. "It’s nothing, Miss. It wasn’t stressful at all."

Evelyn knew there was no way it wasn’t stressful, but knowing how enthusiastic Cassandra was about the shop, she could imagine that opening the shop alone wasn’t daunting to the lady.

"Alright, alright. Customers are coming already. Let’s get to work," Cassandra said as she spotted two people approaching their shop.

Evelyn immediately put on her apron and turned to face them with a welcoming smile.

Meanwhile, Ethan stayed inside the shop, feeling a little bored. Nora was now in school so there was no one to keep him company while Evelyn was busy.

’Sucks.’

He gradually began to understand how parents feel after being separated from their beloved children.

’Well, let’s plan the juice shop, then.’

Choosing to shop online, he chose a trusted website and began to select the chairs and tables he wanted in the shop. After a few minutes of picking, and he finally bought the items he had chosen. Their delivery date was shown, and he nodded before closing his phone.

He flopped onto the couch, yawning lazily and wondering what he would do with the movie industry which he now had a share in.

He thought about developing it, and a few movie ideas from the future crossed his mind. However, doing that would be the same as plagiarizing someone else’s work.

So, he decided to change his approach for now.

Meanwhile, Cassandra and Evelyn were busy attending to customers, as there were strangely a lot of people today.

Evelyn quickly connected it to the school and smiled. "We really hit the jackpot by choosing this place."

By noon, the shop had been emptied and everything had been sold out. Evelyn smiled proudly.

"I can get used to this!" She cheered, pumping her fist dramatically. Since when had it changed so much? She remembered worrying about the spoilt fruits in her shop a few months ago.

Now, she was selling fruits so fast it felt like a dream.

’It’s all because of my beloved Ethan.’

Leaving Cassandra at the counter, she went inside the shop and found him sleeping on the couch.

A smile appeared on her face. ’I feel so happy knowing you’re mine...’

Carefully, she sat next to him and placed his head on her lap, letting him rest comfortably.

An hour later, his eyes slowly opened. Blinking, he realized his head was on Evelyn’s lap. Turning, he hugged her waist and buried his face on her stomach like a child.

"You’re awake." Evelyn smiled. "It’s almost time to go pick up our daughter."
