The next day, Ethan, Evelyn, and Nora went to the shop in the morning. The fruits in the shop had all been sold out yesterday, so they had to call the delivery guys for another large order.

While waiting for them, Cassandra asked the couple, "Is it just me or this street has gotten busier?"

Evelyn blinked, turning to look. Indeed, it was nothing like the first time they had opened the shop.

Back then, vehicles rarely passed the street. Now, it was a busy road with taxis and luxurious vehicles passing by frequently.

Ethan smiled, as he had predicted this before buying the shopping complex.

"That’s because of Nora’s school. This is the major road that leads to her school and with its popularity, people who are trying to settle here move about all the time."

Cassandra’s eyes lit up. "That explains it! And we’ve been having so many customers recently. I have no doubt that our stock might finish before the day ends."

Evelyn smiled, feeling a flicker of pride. "That’s true. I’m happy that the business is doing well."

Taking that as his cue, Ethan asked, "What do you think about becoming a distributor?"

Evelyn paused and turned to him. "Distributor? Like how we did for that smoothie lady back in our old shop?"

Ethan nodded. "Yes. But trust me, it’s going to be larger. With the way families are settling in the district now, there’ll be no shortage of customers. What do you think?"

Evelyn hummed. "We could try that, but wouldn’t we need another shop? We’ll definitely need to buy more fruits and preserve them properly, after all."

"Heh~" Ethan smirked. "Have you forgotten who owns this entire complex?"

Evelyn’s jaw dropped. "W-wait! I can’t believe I forgot that!"

Embarrassed, she buried her face in Ethan’s chest, softly hitting him with her small fists.

Ethan laughed and hugged her, easing her struggle. "Alright, alright. I won’t make fun of you with that. We’ll just get back to the topic. So you should know that we have that solved already. In fact, we could make fruit juices by ourselves."

Cassandra immediately straightened. "Yeah, that’s right!"

Like an excited saleswoman, she yapped. "If we could open a shop like that, it’d preserve the fruits that are not bought—if there’s any. After all, we can always ice the fruit juices to preserve them. That’s such a genius idea!"

Ethan rolled his eyes and said, "Sure. Anything that comes from me is always a great idea."

"Eh?" Evelyn gasped, raising her head to look at him. "Since when did you become that narcissistic?"

Ethan smirked. "Since I married you. Why?"

Evelyn scowled and bit his neck, causing him to wince.

"Ahem... alright, alright. Jokes aside, what do you think?"

Evelyn rested her back on him as she answered. "Well, we could try that too, but we’re going to employ another person."

Ethan frowned. "I can handle it, no?"

"You have a job, Ethan." She rolled her eyes. "As lazy as your job might sound, it’s still a job and you might need to leave at any time."

Ethan hummed, rubbing his chin as he pondered about it.

"What if I make the juice shop my office? Anyone who wants to consult me can come meet me there."

Cassandra’s eyes sparkled. "Really, your ideas are great and as expected of a genius!"

Evelyn shot her a look. "Hey, that’s enough glazing for today. And Ethan, your idea isn’t good at all. Why would you welcome people like Lucas in a juice shop?"

Closing his eyes, Ethan sighed. "Alright, alright. I’ll handle it and find someone who can do the work."

Hearing that, Evelyn smiled and pecked his cheek. "Hehe, that’s good. And that way, I can always have you in my shop unless you go to work."

Ethan deadpanned. "Wait. Is that the main reason you don’t want me to manage the place?"

She nodded shamelessly.

Aghast, Ethan stared at her. "It’s just a few steps away. We could even talk from where we are."

Evelyn shook her head, snuggling in his arms. "No~ I wouldn’t be able to do this whenever I want to."

"Haaa..." Ethan sighed. "You’re starting to act more spoiled than Nora but sigh, who can I blame? I’m just too nice, after all."

Cassandra shook her head at the couple, then turned to the street.

"Oh! Looks like the delivery is here!"

Ethan and Evelyn immediately got serious and went outside to receive the goods. With the delivery guys helping them, they quickly stocked the shop with different kinds of fruits before Evelyn paid.

Then, Ethan and Cassandra began the arrangement of the ones displayed for sale, quickly making the shop neat and attractive.

It didn’t take long for the first customer to arrive.

Taking that as his cue, Ethan retreated inside the shop to go keep Nora company. The little girl was currently studying and revising, so he didn’t disturb her.

Instead, he focused on doing something else on his phone. Half an hour later, Nora finally raised her head and turned to him with a smug expression.

"Dad! I’m done studying!"

Ethan blinked, amazed. "That fast?"

She nodded with a toothy grin. "Hehe, your daughter is a genius, after all."

Ethan’s lips twitched. "Hmph. Let’s test that, girl."

He took one of her books and began writing down questions for her to answer. Once he was done, he passed it to her.

"Answer these carefully. Let’s see how many you’ll get correct."

Nora nodded and immediately took the test. In less than ten minutes, she finished everything.

Ethan graded her with a stunned expression on his face. "Wait...you got everything right. Isn’t this too broken?"

Nora grinned. "Other than maths, which gives me headache, every other subject is child’s play, heh."

"Child’s play, huh..." Ethan mumbled. ’She’s a real genius. Unlike me, obviously. I was pretty much average at her age but damn. With this level of progress, I have no doubt that she’ll be registered for competitions once her teachers realize her talent.’

"Now, Dad... gimme the iPad~" She said, sticking out her tongue.

Ethan’s eyes narrowed. "Not even a five seconds wait?"

"Nuh uh..." She teased, shaking her head.

Ethan smiled helplessly and handed it to her. "Alright. You’ve got one hour thirty minutes. Do as you please."

"Yay!"
