They turned around to see Lucas approaching them with a broad smile on his face.

He wore a neatly tailored suit and looked completely at home in the luxurious showroom.

"You actually came," Ethan said.

"Of course I did. I was only a little late because I had to finish breakfast with my wife."

Lucas glanced at the list in Ethan’s hand.

"What have you chosen?"

"Nothing yet." Ethan shrugged, giving Evelyn a side glance.

Lucas took the list and looked through it.

"This one." He pointed at a vehicle near the back. "Or that one. Actually, Brother Ethan, you should consider this model too. It’s more spacious."

Evelyn’s eyes widened. "Those are even more expensive!"

Lucas blinked, seemingly confused. "Expensive?"

"Yes!"

She turned to Ethan, mildly annoyed.

"And you’re both doing the same thing!"

Ethan laughed, while Lucas looked slightly embarrassed.

"I just thought Brother Ethan deserved something good."

Evelyn pursed her lips. "I know... but they’re expensive."

Ethan nodded. "It’s fine. Let’s follow her suggestion."

Lucas looked at him incredulously. "Brother Ethan, you’re the one who asked me to find a car."

"I asked for a good car. Not the most expensive car in the building."

Nora giggled. "Mom is winning."

Evelyn smiled proudly. "See? Even Nora agrees with me."

Lucas sighed in defeat.

"Fine. Let’s look at something more reasonable."

After going through several options, they finally settled on a sleek SUV that looked elegant without being overly extravagant.

It was spacious enough for the family, comfortable, reliable, and still had the appearance Evelyn wanted.

Evelyn nodded approvingly. "This one is actually nice."

Ethan nodded with a hum.

"I like it too." Nora circled the vehicle with excitement.

"Then it’s settled."

Ethan turned toward the salesperson.

"We’ll take it."

The salesperson smiled and began preparing the paperwork. Ethan reached for his wallet, but before he could make a payment, Lucas stopped him.

"Brother Ethan, what are you doing?"

"Huh? Paying, of course."

Lucas shook his head. "Haha, no."

Ethan frowned. "What do you mean, no?"

"I already paid."

Ethan froze, and even Evelyn stared at Lucas in surprise. Nora also stopped examining the car.

"You paid?"

Lucas nodded casually. "Yes. Hehe. Just think of it as a small gift from me."

Ethan stared at him for a moment, then shook his head. "I should have predicted this."

"Don’t worry about it, Brother Ethan. It’s just a car." The older man laughed, patting his chest.

Ethan sighed before finally nodding. "Alright. Thank you."

"You’re welcome."

Ethan accepted the gesture, though he already decided he would have to repay Lucas somehow.

After completing the remaining paperwork, they bid farewell to Lucas and got into the new vehicle.

Ethan took the driver’s seat, Evelyn sat beside him while Nora happily claimed the back seat.

The moment the engine came to life, Nora grinned.

"We have a new car!"

Ethan chuckled. "Yes, we do."

He drove out of the dealership and onto the road.

Evelyn looked around the comfortable interior before smiling. "It’s actually really nice."

Putting on a smug smile, he said, "I told you."

She glanced at him, speechless. "You didn’t choose it."

"Meh, don’t focus on the details."

Nora laughed at the back. After driving for a while, Ethan turned into a nearby large shopping district. Evelyn looked at him curiously.

"Where are we going now?"

He answered, his gaze focused on the road. "To get clothes. Since we’re out already, let’s do that."

She blinked in surprise. "For who?"

Ethan glanced at her through the corner of his eye. "For you and Nora, obviously."

The little girl immediately leaned forward from the back seat.

"We’re buying clothes too?"

Ethan nodded, causing her to smile brightly.

Evelyn laughed softly too.

"Looks like someone is having a great day."

Ethan smiled as he parked in front of the clothing mall.

"Come on. Let’s get ready for the wedding."

The moment they entered the clothing mall, they were approached by a young female staff member with a polite smile.

"Good afternoon. Welcome. Are you looking for anything specific?" She asked, glancing between them.

Ethan smiled faintly and pointed toward Evelyn and Nora. "We’re looking for clothes for them. There’s a wedding coming up next week."

The lady immediately nodded and gestured for them to follow her. "Then you’ve come to the right place. We have plenty of dresses suitable for weddings. Let me show you around."

She led them through several sections, pointing at different dresses as she explained their designs. Evelyn’s eyes quickly began to wander from one dress to another, and Ethan could already tell they were going to be here for a while.

"This one is beautiful," Evelyn said, stopping in front of a long blue dress.

The dress had a simple but elegant design, with a fitted upper half and a flowing skirt that reached her ankles. There were delicate patterns around the waist and sleeves, giving it a graceful appearance without making it look overly flashy.

Evelyn picked it up and looked at Ethan. "What do you think?"

Ethan nodded. "Try it on."

She smiled and disappeared into the fitting room. A few minutes later, she stepped out wearing it, and Ethan couldn’t help but stare for a moment.

The dress fit her perfectly, emphasizing her slender figure while still maintaining an elegant and modest appearance.

Nora’s eyes widened as she looked at her mother. "Mom, you look really pretty!"

Ethan nodded in agreement. "She’s right. It looks good on you." Evelyn smiled shyly and looked at herself in the mirror. "Really?" "Really," Ethan replied.

She eventually went back to change, but that only led to another dress. This time, it was a white dress with subtle golden patterns running along the edges. It was slightly shorter than the first one and had a soft, flowing skirt that moved naturally whenever she walked. When Evelyn stepped out wearing it, Nora immediately clapped her hands.

"This one is even prettier!"

Ethan smiled. "I agree. You look beautiful."

Evelyn turned toward the mirror and slowly examined herself from different angles. "I like this one too."

The staff member smiled. "It suits you very well. The color also complements your skin tone."

Evelyn nodded appreciatively before looking at Ethan. "What do you think?"

"If you like it, get it."

"That’s not what I asked." She pouted.

Ethan chuckled. "Fine. You look beautiful in it."

Evelyn’s cheeks turned slightly red before she returned to the fitting room.

The next dress was a dark green one with a simple but elegant design. It had long sleeves and a slightly wider skirt, making it look more formal than the previous two. Evelyn stepped out and adjusted the sleeves while looking at herself in the mirror.

Ethan nodded almost immediately. "This one looks elegant."

Nora tilted her head before smiling. "Mom looks like a princess." Evelyn laughed softly. "A princess?"

"Yes!" Nora nodded seriously.

"A beautiful princess." Ethan glanced at Nora. "You aren’t wrong." Evelyn’s smile widened as she looked at them both. "You two are really good at making me feel good about myself."
