The next morning, Ethan woke up before sunrise as usual. After a quick stretch, he changed into his workout clothes and headed to the living room.

He spent the next hour exercising, pushing his body through his usual routine before finally returning to the bathroom. After taking a shower, he headed straight into the kitchen.

Preparing breakfast didn’t take long.

By the time Evelyn and Nora came downstairs, the smell of freshly prepared food had already filled the house.

Evelyn’s eyes lit up when she saw the table. "You’re cooking again?"

Ethan glanced at her. "Why do you sound surprised?"

"I’m not surprised." She pulled out a chair and sat down. "I’m just wondering when you’ll finally get tired of cooking."

"Probably never." He chuckled.

Nora immediately sat beside her mother and reached for her plate. Evelyn took her first bite and quietly savored it.

She had to admit it, she never got tired of Ethan’s cooking.

There was something about the way he prepared even simple meals that made them taste far better than they should.

"You know," She said, looking at him. "I could get used to this."

Ethan smiled. "You already have."

Evelyn rolled her eyes playfully before continuing to eat.

After they had eaten for a while, Ethan suddenly remembered something.

"Oh, right. The old man called me yesterday."

Evelyn looked up, curious. "Your father?"

"Yeah. He reminded me about Albert’s wedding." Ethan nodded.

Nora stopped chewing and looked at him. "A wedding? When is it?"

"Next Saturday."

Evelyn’s expression immediately brightened. "We’re going, right?"

"Of course." Ethan smiled. Why wouldn’t they attend?

"Then I’m going."

Nora nodded eagerly. "Me too."

Ethan chuckled. "I wasn’t planning on leaving either of you behind."

Nora smiled faintly, then continued eating.

Evelyn suddenly looked thoughtful. "Wait. What are we going to wear?"

"We’ll figure that out later." Ethan took another bite before casually adding, "But there’s something else we need to do first."

"What’s that?" She tilted her head.

"We need to buy a car."

Evelyn nearly choked on her food. "A car?"

Ethan nodded. "Yes."

She stared at him for a moment, not knowing what to say. "Is that really necessary?"

Raising an eyebrow, Ethan shrugged. "Pretty much."

"We already have the motorcycle," She argued.

Ethan shook his head.

"We’re attending a wedding, Evelyn. It wouldn’t exactly look good if we pulled up on a motorcycle."

Evelyn hesitated, feeling uneasy. "Does that really matter?"

"It does." Ethan leaned back slightly. "Besides, that old man probably wouldn’t be pleased if we showed up at Albert’s wedding on a bike."

Evelyn imagined Jason’s reaction and couldn’t help laughing.

"You’re probably right." She paused a little, then added quietly. "You really want to buy a car just for the wedding?"

"No. We need one anyway." Ethan glanced toward Nora. "Taking her around on a motorcycle isn’t exactly convenient all the time. And now that your business is growing, we’ll be moving around more."

Evelyn considered his words before nodding.

"Alright, then."

Nora suddenly brightened. "We’re buying a car?!"

Ethan looked at her. "Why are you suddenly so excited?"

"Because we’re getting our own car!" She smiled, knowing they wouldn’t understand.

After all, in her past life, they never had a car.

Evelyn laughed. "You really like cars, don’t you?"

Nora nodded enthusiastically. Ethan shook his head with an amused smile.

"Fine. We’ll go after breakfast."

He picked up his phone and called Lucas. He hadn’t forgotten his promise, after all. The call barely rang twice before it was answered.

"Brother Ethan!"

Lucas’s cheerful voice came through immediately. He seemed to be at home, though. The sound of cutlery clashing with plates could be heard in the background.

Ethan smiled faintly. "Morning, Lucas."

"Good morning, Brother Ethan. Hehe, it has been a while."

"We spoke two days ago." Ethan rolled his eyes, then continued. "I need a favor. I want to buy a car."

There was a brief pause, then Lucas immediately responded, "I know a good place."

"Already?" Ethan blinked in surprise.

"Of course. I’ll send you the location." Lucas laughed. "Brother Ethan, if you’re buying a car, you should at least buy a good one."

Ethan chuckled. "Fine. We’ll see you there."

"Alright. I won’t make you wait for long.

After ending the call, Ethan stood up.

"Let’s get ready."

An hour later, the three of them arrived at the dealership on their motorcycle. The moment they stepped inside, Evelyn’s eyes widened.

The showroom was enormous, with rows of polished cars that stood beneath bright lights, each one looking more impressive than the last.

Nora’s eyes practically sparkled.

"Wow!"

Before Ethan could say anything, she rushed toward the nearest row of cars.

"Nora."

His voice immediately stopped her. She turned around and looked at him.

"Don’t run."

She slowed down and walked back, her head hung low.

"Sorry."

Ethan crouched slightly and patted her head.

"You can look. Just don’t run around. There are other people here."

"Okay." She nodded seriously before turning back toward the cars.

Evelyn smiled. "She’s really excited."

"I noticed," Ethan said with a chuckle.

A salesperson approached them with a welcoming smile and handed Ethan a list of available vehicles.

Ethan scanned through it.

"What do you think?" He asked Evelyn.

She leaned closer and looked through the list.

Ethan pointed at one, interested. "This one looks good."

Evelyn immediately shook her head. "Eh??? It’s too expensive."

He pointed at another.

"What about this?"

"That one looks extravagant," She complained, pouting.

Ethan sighed and pointed at another.

"What about this?"

"Still too expensive."

Nora turned to look at them.

"Why do you keep saying everything is expensive?"

Evelyn rolled her eyes, smiling thinly.

"Because your father seems to think we’re buying a spaceship."

Hearing her, Ethan laughed a little. "I’m just trying to get something comfortable."

She countered, "You don’t need something that expensive just to be comfortable. I mean, look at those cars. One of them is almost a million dollars."

Before Ethan could respond, a familiar voice came from behind them.

"Brother Ethan!"
