Chapter 752: Chapter 752: I’m Not Taking This Crap Anymore

Hearing his voice, Annabelle Linton’s heart trembled.

But it was this pain that made her understand what she had to do.

’I’ve come this far; how can I give up now?’

Annabelle Linton made her decision. She looked up at him and nodded firmly. "Yes!"

Leona Grant’s anger flared. His brows tightened and his face darkened as he asked, "You knew I was drunk, you knew I would sleep with her, and you just stood by and watched?"

’It’s a good thing I know everything. But what if I didn’t?’

Annabelle Linton said coldly, "I never wanted to be with you in the first place, but you just wouldn’t let go. This gives me the perfect excuse to leave you. Now that you’re tainted, let’s go file the divorce papers and get this over with!"

Although he knew she was saying this on purpose, Leona Grant couldn’t help but get angry when he heard the word "divorce."

’Damn woman, who the hell asked you to be so stubborn and try to save me? What’s the point of living if I can’t be with you?’

Her words were driving Leona Grant insane. He couldn’t help but demand, "If that’s the case, then why did you hit her just now?"

Annabelle Linton was expressionless. "I just didn’t like her."

"Then why were you crying? Don’t tell me it was tears of joy!"

’He’ll see through my act if he keeps asking questions.’ Annabelle Linton impatiently shoved him away and said coldly, "Let’s go. Let’s get a divorce."

Leona Grant pressed his lips together, staring at her, his eyes filled with a chilling light.

Annabelle Linton felt his intimidating aura and met his dangerous gaze. A wave of guilt washed over her, and she turned to walk away. "I’ll give you the divorce agreement tonight. We were married once; let’s have an amicable split!"

With that, she couldn’t help but quicken her pace.

Watching her back as she practically fled, Leona Grant was torn between amusement and anger, but above all, his heart ached for her.

Remembering how she’d been sobbing earlier, and the look of despair on her face when she saw him with Vivian Yates, his heart throbbed with an unstoppable pain.

What was even more despicable was that Vivian Yates had actually sent her photos!

’She must have spent all of last night crying,’ he thought. ’Her eyes were all red. I saw it.’

Leona Grant watched her retreating figure. A look of resolve flashed in his eyes as he strode forward and fiercely pulled her into his arms from behind.

’That’s it. I’m not taking this crap anymore!’

’I’m not going to keep hurting Annabelle Linton like this over some damn dream!’

’Besides, according to the dream, wasn’t it my own self-righteousness that got her killed in the end anyway?’

’Why did I insist on keeping her safe by pushing her away?’

’Why can’t I just keep her by my side and protect her? Why can’t we face things together?’

’Just look at what Annabelle did this time. Didn’t I end up finding out everything anyway? And we both suffered for so long before this!’

’As for my illness... to hell with it! If I’m really going to die, at least I’ll have had some happy days with her, right?’

’And if I’m not going to die, then why the hell should we be separated?!’

Breathing in her scent, Leona Grant realized just how much he missed her. God, he missed her like crazy.

Annabelle Linton’s body stiffened for a moment before she reacted, shoving him away forcefully.

But Leona Grant wasn’t about to let her resist him like this.

He swept her up into his arms and hauled her toward the car.

’This woman is just asking for it. How dare she hide something this huge from me?’

’The absolute nerve!’
