Chapter 751: Annabelle Linton, Answer Me
Chapter 751: Chapter 751: Annabelle Linton, Answer Me
She pulled the photos from her pocket and threw them in Vivian Yates’s face, saying furiously, "You say you don’t know anything? How dare you say that? If you don’t know anything, then how do you explain these photos!"
Vivian Yates stared at the photos, her eyes wide, speechless.
Seeing this, a woman from the crowd suddenly rushed out, pointed at Vivian Yates, and slapped her several times across the face. "There’s nothing I hate more than sluts like you!" she said angrily. "I can tell just by looking at you that you went after your sister’s man! You pretended to be your sister to sleep with your brother-in-law, didn’t you?! You bitch! The proof is right in front of you and you still dare to argue? I’ll beat you to death!"
"I hate these kinds of bitches the most, too! My bastard of a husband was seduced away by a homewrecker just like this one. I’ll beat every single one I see!"
"Me too, me too!"
With that, a whole group of people swarmed together and started beating Vivian Yates.
’It seems not just anyone has what it takes to be a bitch.’
Leona Grant watched Annabelle Linton from the side, growing more and more fond of her with every second.
Annabelle Linton was usually a very low-key person with excellent manners; she rarely even spoke loudly in public.
Watching her attack Vivian Yates, he naturally assumed that the harder she hit, the more she loved him.
Annabelle Linton saw no need to intervene further. She turned and walked away with resolute determination.
Leona Grant quickly followed.
In truth, the moment Annabelle Linton saw Leona Grant, she had already fallen apart. Even though she had hit Vivian Yates, the pain in her heart hadn’t lessened. In fact, it seemed to have grown even worse.
’What good did hitting her do? It was just a way to let off steam.’
’But Leona Grant was tainted. Tainted forever.’
As Annabelle Linton walked, tears began to fall inexplicably once more.
She wasn’t one to cry, and she didn’t want to cry at all, but the thought of Leona Grant sleeping with Vivian Yates made her heart ache.
It was a deep, searing pain, as if her heart were being carved out piece by piece with a knife.
Finally, she couldn’t hold it in any longer. She reached a corner, her body slumping weakly against the wall as she began to cry.
It was impossible to describe how she felt now. It seemed that besides the word "pain," nothing else could capture the feeling.
’I’m so selfish, so very selfish.’
’I selfishly want Leona Grant to be mine and mine alone. I selfishly want to be with him for a long, long time.’
’We didn’t manage to be together in our last life, so why can’t we be together now?’
She leaned against the wall, her body hunched over as she sobbed, heartbroken.
Leona Grant stood in front of her, watching her cry.
Annabelle Linton was so overwhelmed by grief that she didn’t even notice someone was standing right in front of her.
"Yesterday, when I was with her, you were there, weren’t you?" Leona Grant said suddenly, out of the blue.
The unexpected voice startled Annabelle Linton. The moment she heard it, she knew who it was.
’Damn it. I was so upset just now, all I wanted was to find a place to cry. I completely forgot about him.’
Annabelle Linton quickly tried to walk away, hiding her emotions and hastily wiping her tears.
Seeing she was about to leave, Leona Grant grabbed her, pulled her back, and pinned her against the wall. He stared into her eyes without blinking and demanded, "Tell me. You knew she and I were going to sleep together, right?"
Hearing this, a bitter sorrow flooded Annabelle Linton’s heart. She looked down, refusing to meet his gaze as she tried to hide her emotions.
But Leona Grant gave her no chance to escape, pressing her aggressively, "Annabelle Linton, answer me!"
