Chapter 733: Chapter 733: I’ll Just Wait for the Day You Die

Annabelle Linton kept watch by his bedside, sitting there all night.

In the morning, just as Annabelle Linton was finishing a quick bite, her phone suddenly buzzed.

She picked it up and took a look, her pupils constricting slightly.

It was a blank text message, but she knew it was from Vivian Yates.

It was their secret signal.

Annabelle Linton’s expression turned cold. She tucked Leona Grant in and went out.

When she arrived at the designated meeting spot, she found Vivian Yates, just as she’d expected, at the same bar as last time, drinking with her legs crossed.

Annabelle Linton sat down across from her with a cool expression. Vivian Yates looked at her and sneered, "You still haven’t left him? Do you want him to die?"

Annabelle Linton pursed her lips. "It’s complicated. I’m working on it."

A vicious glint flashed in Vivian Yates’s eyes. She slammed her glass down. "Are you trying to show off your great love story to me? Annabelle Linton, let me tell you something. You’re already a dead woman! Your only hope of survival is me, so don’t even think about pulling any tricks. Got it?!"

Annabelle Linton gave her a speechless look. "How does this look like I’m pulling a trick? Or should I just tell Leona Grant that you poisoned both of us and let him come settle the score?"

"You—"

Annabelle Linton said coldly, "No need to shout, Vivian Yates. You said it yourself—I don’t have much time left. Do you really need to be this guarded against me? I want him to be safe more than anyone. Would I ever do anything to harm him?"

After she spoke, Annabelle Linton coughed a few times.

Vivian Yates heard this and had to admit it made sense.

Watching her cough, she couldn’t help but laugh. "So, when exactly are you leaving?" she said, her voice a warning. "I’m running out of patience. Annabelle Linton, the only thing keeping him alive are the suppressants that I control. Do you understand?"

Annabelle Linton coughed for a long moment before speaking, her voice hoarse. "You need to give me a few pills to buy me a few more days. Otherwise, Leona Grant will get suspicious. You don’t want him to find out, do you?"

Vivian Yates thought about it. That was true.

Knowing Leona Grant’s temper, he hated being controlled more than anything. If he found out she was the one who had poisoned both him and Annabelle Linton, she’d be finished.

Besides, she still had to get her father out of trouble.

Her goal was to make Annabelle Linton suffer a fate worse than death, and she’d already accomplished that. Now, all she had to do was wait for her to die.

’The more I think about it, the happier I get! Ha ha!’

Vivian Yates took out two pills from her bag, added another for Annabelle Linton, and slid them across the table. "Leave as soon as possible," she said coolly. "Your husband is mine. Stop dreaming. Understand?"

Hearing this, Annabelle Linton grabbed a glass and threw its contents in Vivian’s face. "You’re nothing but a dog, a pawn in someone else’s game," she said coldly. "You have the nerve to stand here and warn me?"

Vivian Yates’s face twisted in fury. She slammed her hand on the table. "Annabelle Linton, you’ve gone too far!" she said, seething.

"If you hadn’t come looking for trouble, you think I’d have any interest in you? Vivian Yates, you’d better pray I never find the antidote. Because if I do, I’ll make you suffer a fate worse than death!"

Vivian Yates burst out laughing. "All you can do is talk tough. If you’re so capable, go ahead and find the antidote! Annabelle Linton, the very thought of you on your deathbed makes me giddy. Bleeding from your eyes and nose, your face pale... HAHAHAHA! How satisfying!"

"I’m just waiting for the day you die. Then, I will have your husband forever. Even if he’s on his deathbed, I’ll have a beautiful child with him. And you? You’ll be able to do nothing but watch, consumed by jealousy and hatred, unable to utter a single word!"

"SCRAPE!"

Annabelle Linton shoved her chair back, grabbed the pills, and stormed out. She couldn’t stand to be there a second longer!
