While Delia and her group members were busy preparing the materials for the Array Formations, Eren approached Celeste.

"So? Any news about our invaders?" she asked him.

"I found out that they came from the Elvenied Riders."

"Ah," Celeste said. "That makes sense. They do have bad blood against the Lindbergs. Did you know that the Lindbergs stole a very rare artifact from them?

It would have made the Elvenied Riders much more powerful as an Awakener Organization. But the Lindbergs snatched that away from them. Ever since, the two had always been ’on-sight’. Fights between their Awakeners break out all the time."

Now that Eren had a little bit more of a background on what happened, he began to understand what had happened.

"What do you know more about the Elvenied Riders?" Eren asked. "What kind of Martial Manuals do they specialize in?"

Celeste raised her head and thought deeply. "Hmmm... they use techniques that are fast."

"Fast?"

"Fast. I don’t know how else to describe it. From what I heard, they also like to use projectiles in their attacks."

That did not narrow it down, but that last bit was very helpful.

He immediately went back to Delia and the others. They seemed to be finishing up on their preparations before they started creating the Array Formations they were going to use all over their camp.

With just one observation based on the materials and the over-all layout of their preparations, Eren immediately knew what kind of Array Formations they were going to make.

"Lightning Tripwire. Webbed Airknots. Quagmire Mouths."

Hearing this Delia couldn’t help but look at him in surprise. She didn’t think that he would be able to know what they were planning, much less know about their names.

The fact that he knew about it just from the materials and their arrangement only meant that he was more knowledgeable about them than she originally thought.

"You know about them?"

"Can you show me how you create them?" Eren asked.

Hearing his request, Delia did as he asked and began using the ingredients they just acquired.

She arranged the materials on the ground, making great sure that they were placed correctly and in the right orientation.

It took her about five minutes before she finished her preparations.

Once that was done, the ground was now filled with a variety of ingredients seemingly haphazardly placed everywhere.

But then, Delia used the Cloudless Ink and poured a few drops onto the center of the ingredient formations.

And suddenly, the ink began to follow invisible lines that were created from the arrangement of the materials. It wasn’t long before a very crude drawing of R?zoň symbols emerged on the ground.

It could barely even be considered R?zoň.

And just as Eren thought, the ink eventually lost all of its shape, and the symbols turned blotched.

"Ah. It’s a failure," Delia said. She didn’t seem to be disappointed nor surprised.

For her and for everyone else, this failure seemed to be par for the course.

This... this is just.... Pathetic...

He couldn’t help but inwardly shake his head. This was the standard of Array Formations on Earth?

"Why did it fail?" Eren asked.

"That’s normal," Delia said. "It’s really hard to be accurate without the proper equipment to do so. Usually, we have our rulers and beakers and other measuring items to make sure that everything is in the right place.

But those are not allowed here in the License Exam, so we could only make do with what we have."

The other Academic Examinees agreed with her.

"Yeah. But don’t worry, Delia’s really good at this."

"Her success rate is almost at fifty percent! That’s near the top of the rankings of students."

"There’s a reason why she was chosen as a Leader!"

Hearing this, Eren couldn’t help but cover his mouth and began to think deeply about his situation.

That success rate is abysmally low.

Back in Immor?, students who had less than seventy percent success rates on Array Formations weren’t even accepted on sects. Meanwhile, those who were accepted as an inner disciple could conjure up an Array Formation at will without any mistakes.

And they didn’t need any kind of materials to do so. All it would need were the ingredients, and they could write the Array Formations easily.

I see... it’s probably because they don’t have the proper practice in writing in R?zoňic.

Their language was very hard to write, as it wasn’t the typical kind of language found on Earth. Each and every curve meant something. A wrong curve could change the meaning of a word completely.

And subsequently, a wrong curve could ruin the Array Formations completely.

The people of Earth didn’t know how to write R?zoňic. They didn’t even understand what it meant. It made sense that they would also have no idea how to create Array Formations.

It would be like trying to create a perfect, iambic pentameter poem from a language that you didn’t understand.

"This part should be a little bit more straight. As for this one, make it a little bit longer, with a more prominent S-curve at the end.

And this symbol should be placed here, not here. It’s a mirror of the ones at the bottom, so they should be the same..."

He began telling Delia the mistakes that she made.

And hearing this, the other Academic Sector examinees began to chuckle to themselves. They thought that Eren was just joking. After all, how he could he know better than them.

"Haha! Good one."

"People always think they’re better."

"Right?! They don’t know that we have been studying this for years."

But Delia wasn’t laughing. Instead, she had her focus on the failed Array Formation on the ground.

And once she truly listened to Eren’s advice, she began to see the faults in her own creation.

Then, she saw Eren take the Cloudless Ink from her.

"It’s like this," he said as he began to pour the ink in perfect R?zoňic symbols.
