As usual, Evan’s stats were completely out of line for his level.

When had that started, this absurd gap between his stats and what they should’ve been?

Was it back when he was stuck at Level 299 for over a hundred chapt—scratch that, several months?

Whatever the case, he’d been like this for a long time now.

And thanks to his stat boosts, his actual strength far surpassed what his stats implied.

But despite finally reaching Level 800, Evan’s attention wasn’t on his level or stats, but his Unique Skills.

|Mystic Eyes of Mimicry (5)|

‘No wonder my vision went blurry…’

He made a quick mental note to avoid upgrading his Mystic Eyes in the middle of intense battles like this again.

|Stage 5

100% Mimicked Skill/Magic Effectiveness/Damage Bonus.

-75% Mimicked Skill/Magic Energy Cost.

Ability to Mimic Non-Magical Spells and Aura Abilities. Content originally comes from n͟o͟v͟e͟l͟f͟i͟r͟e͟.net

In combat against Targets possessing a Mimicked skill, Spell or other Ability, increase the energy cost required to activate that phenomenon by 25%.|

Long story short, Mimicked Skills were twice as powerful in his hands, consumed only 25% of their original energy cost, and if he used a skill he had ‘mimicked’ against its original owner, they had to spend 25% more energy to activate it against him.

The third effect was something he could already pull off without the Mystic Eyes, just not as effectively.

The skill description hadn’t changed much, but now, the ‘True Names’ of his flames had been revealed.

Moving on, Mesarthim underwent a little rank-up.

The skill’s description remained largely unchanged, but the ‘True Names’ of his flames had been revealed.

|…

RED: [Crimson Ruin]

ORANGE: [Blazing Exaltation]

YELLOW: [Sanctifying Flame]

GREEN: [Verdant Flame]

BLUE: [Ashen Dominion] The blue flames of Mesarthim transform the surroundings into a wasteland of ash and embers where the user’s flames are amplified. The smouldering terrain empowers the user while wearing down their foes.

INDIGO: [Locked Effect]

VIOLET: [Locked Effect]

Seeing the new addition, Evan smiled wryly, tapped his foot against the broken ground, and activated it.

His Existence Level increase had replenished his energy by drawing from the surroundings, leaving him overflowing with power, perhaps a bit too much, in fact.

A ring of blue fire silently spread out from his position, covering a 250-metre radius and moving along with him as he turned and began walking back toward the World Isolation Barrier’s location.

“This feels nostalgic. Fighting devils with Ashen Dominion… That Prisma book is really messing with my head.”

As he spoke, he extended his hand and called out.

“Vanquisher.”

With a ‘whoosh’, his trusted sword flew back into his hand, and he caught it, pausing for a moment before speaking.

“I didn’t use my Weapon Control Skill. And I called you ‘Vanquisher’, not ‘Unforged’…yet you still responded.”

Gazing down at the sword in his grasp, Evan narrowed his eyes.

“You’re still in there, aren’t you?”

Naturally, there was no response. Not that Evan was expecting one.

He simply let go of the blade and used Weapon Control to send it flying, decapitating the last two devils behind him as he made his way back to the others.

“The ‘Vanquisher’ weapon series was likely forged from the shattered fragments of the original ‘Vanquisher’.

The only one who’d go as far as gathering them would be Artemisia… maybe Beatrix too?”

He asked no one in particular as he walked back across the battlefield, Vanguards spontaneously combusting the moment they stepped into his Ashen Dominion.

When he returned to the barrier’s location, Charisse, her lightly scorched hands being healed by an Elder Spirit Evan didn’t recognise, turned to him and spoke.

“Congratulations, Sir Evan.”

“You foresaw this, too?” Evan asked, raising a brow.

“No. I only foresaw what comes after.”

Her reply made Evan halt mid-step.

“After?”

Right then, Danger Sense roared an alarm in his head, and instinct took over as he extended his right hand toward the World Isolation Barrier.

“Dispel!”

He shouldn’t have been able to take backlash from a broken spell, but his instincts told him this might be the one time that rule didn’t apply.

At that moment, the cocoon unfolded, its layers peeling back like petals in slow motion, before shattering completely.

A blinding silver light burst out from within, shooting upwards at hypersonic speed as it tore through the half-burnt forest and sliced through hundreds of warped tendrils that stretched out futilely to stop it.

A second later, the light crashed into Triffid’s towering trunk.

*BOOM!

The impact echoed like a thunderclap, shockwaves pulsing through the tree and making its bark ripple like liquid. Crimson and silver energy coursed along the waves, spreading with crackling intensity.

And then came the explosion.

***KA-DOOOM!!!!

A seismic blast tore through Triffid’s trunk, blasting straight through the other side in a violent eruption of crimson-silver energy.

From within the churning debris and roaring energy, Arthur’s figure burst out, his right hand clamped around the neck of an Archdevil with flower-patterned eyes.

“Got you, bastard.”

His muscles tensed, and with a surge of gravitational law energy, he hurled the Infernal Archdevil toward the ground with overwhelming force.

The devil crashed down like a meteor, striking the earth with such ferocity that the ground quaked, a concussive shockwave rippling outward.

Shockwaves ripped through the battlefield, flattening the forest and hurling both Archdevils and Elders from the sky, even kilometres from the impact site.

Arthur, hovering above, looked down at the wounded Vonun, then at the gaping hole in Triffid. When he turned back to Vonun, he noticed the tendrils still connected to limbs, remnants of his link to the tree.

His gaze stayed fixed on Vonun as the Archdevil trembled with rage, his fury building to a fever pitch.

Waves of powerful law energy erupted from him, warping the air and splitting the scorched ground beneath his feet.

Watching the display unfold, Arthur remarked calmly,

“Damn, this guy’s stronger than Alvey and McEnda…”

He glanced at his status board, noting his level steadily rising, the numbers ticking upward by the minute.

A smirk curved across his lips, excitement blending with anticipation.

Vonun, roaring in rage, slammed his hand into the ground, and massive shoots erupted from the earth around him. Each one bloomed into a dark flower that unfurled to reveal glowing cores of infernal energy.

They vibrated ominously before unleashing beams of concentrated power that converged mid-air, merging into a colossal, roaring beam that blazed toward Arthur with overwhelming intensity.

But Arthur remained motionless, unfazed by the wave of destruction racing toward him. Slowly, he raised his hands and, in his Faux True Voice, began to command.

|¬Pseudo Authority of Time.¬|

|¬Pseudo Authority of Gravity.¬|

|¬Pseudo Authority of Destruction.¬|

And then, the final command fell from his lips.

|¬Pseudo Authority of Space.¬|

His fourth Pseudo-Authority, gained alongside his Transcendence.

Merging all four, he created a singularity.

|¬Accelerated Gravitational Singularity of Destruction¬|

A dark, swirling singularity formed between Arthur’s palms, warping the space around it. It quickly absorbed Vonun’s infernal beam, compacting the energy into a marble-sized orb, after which Arthur then vanished and reappeared behind Vonun, launching the compressed singularity at him.

**KAABOOOM!!!

Vonun’s arm exploded into nothingness, disintegrating under the impact as if it were mere dust in a gale.

The blast’s force hurled him backwards, crashing into Triffid’s trunk with such impact that the earth trembled and left an imprint on the tree’s bark.

With a scowl of fury, Vonun pressed his remaining hand to the trunk, drawing some of the tree’s mass. Wood and bark wound around his shoulder, regenerating his missing limb until it was whole again.

His gaze locked onto Arthur, studying him with renewed caution as darkness law energy gathered around his body as he spoke.

“So, you’ve reached Transcendence. But what does that matter?

You don’t even know how to wield that power. Your little burst of strength won’t last. When it fades, I’ll rip that power from your bones myself!”

With that, Vonun charged, tearing through the air toward Arthur, who summoned Lostvayne and shrouded it in cosmic energy.

“Let’s see what taps out first.

“My burst of strength… or your life.”

Arthur said that as he met Vonun’s charge, the ground fractured beneath his feet as they clashed in a storm of power.
