Chapter 1104 - 1104: The Last Percent [Monthly Bonus 2]
A wave of crimson energy flowed out with the sound of his snapped fingers, phasing harmlessly through everything in its path until it reached its sole target, the infernal devil who had attacked him.
The wave cleaved right through them, severing the entirety of their torso from reality itself.
The two halves of the corpse dropped to the ground, but Evan had already turned away by then, his eyes scanning the top 10 spells on the World Magic list as he clicked his tongue.
“I don’t have enough magic power for all of these. Suppose I’ve got to improvise.”
He opened his inventory, reached in, and pulled out three familiar thick wires, quickly attaching them to his right hand.
Caeril, who had glanced in Evan’s direction after sensing a familiar wave of magic power, caught sight of the wires connected to his arm, instantly recalling the bomb Evan had more or less threatened them with during his first meeting with Tír Síorghlas’ Elders.
Now, Evan plugged those three wires into his arm and, through them, began draining the magic power stored within the Arcanum Eclipsor.
With that immense amount of magic power flowing into his body, Evan immediately began spell spamming.
“Triplet World Magic:
Spell Number 5: Armageddon.
Spell Number 20: Sword of Damocles.
Spell Number 12: Karmic Fire of Carnage.”
Multiple magic circles materialised around him, their intricate complexity making it clear to anyone with a functioning brain that what was coming was dangerous.
The sky lit up as meteors rained down without discrimination. Evan didn’t care who they struck. Whether the devils were level 600, 700, 800, or even 900, they were all fair game.

Some of the meteorites crashed directly onto Archdevils engaged in battle with Spirit Elders, throwing them off and leaving them vulnerable to heavy blows.
A massive ethereal sword appeared above one of the stronger devil Vice Commanders, and before they could so much as glance upward, the thread suspending it snapped.
It dropped instantly, crushing the devil beneath its immense weight, smashing through their body and embedding itself deep in the ground, sending blood splattering in every direction.
From the Akashic Page, black fire erupted, leaping onto devils like chain lightning, engulfing them in a blaze fuelled by their past deeds, burning them with the karma they had sown throughout their lives.
It was a spell worked based on its caster’s worldview, drawing its strength from the karma of actions they perceived as ‘wrong’.

After finishing those three spells, Evan began flipping through the World Magic spell list, muttering to himself all the while.
“13: Judgment of the gods… 14: Void Obliteration… 15: Wrath of the Void… 16: Azi Dhaka’s Curse… 17: Macro Catastrophe… hmm, Macro? Nah, not Macro Catastrophe.”
While he went through the list, his Absolute Defence spell blocked two more attempts on his life, growing more fractured with each hit, but Evan didn’t even bother glancing up.
“18: Harvest Festival of Souls…useless here. 19: Anger of Time… yeah, no, that one’s not going to end well…
Let’s see… 21: Disturbance of the Ancestors…catchy, but no, not that… 29: Revenge of the Fallen? Nah, that’s only useful if I have death affinity, and I don’t… how about… Ah—33: Howl of Frost. Let’s go with that.”
“But first, I spy a nice-looking battalion of Devil Dragons in the distance. Time for some ‘nuking’.”
The Akashic Page consumed the magic he channelled into it, its pages fluttering as Evan activated Triplet Casting.
“Nuclear Magic: Nuclear Cannon, Nuclear Flame, and… let’s go with Atomic Annihilation.”
The moment he muttered those words, three Nuclear Magic Spell Circles appeared above his targets, and in an instant, the entire battalion of Devil Dragons was wiped from existence, leaving behind only scorched fragments of flesh, bones crumbling to ash, and mangled body parts hurled apart by the sheer force of the blasts.
Evan’s eyes widened slightly as he noticed that some spirits had been caught in the attack, a consequence that was, unfortunately, inevitable given the chaos of the battlefield.
He silently turned his gaze away and shifted his focus to the next set of targets, while Spirit Elders began ordering their forces to retreat across multiple fronts to minimise further collateral damage.
“Ah, gotta cast more spells…”
At the moment, Evan was channelling an immense amount of magic power through his body. Ordinarily, this would have put him under severe strain, but since the magic was being expelled just as quickly as it was absorbed, released through the large-scale spells he was casting, he was fine.
“World Magic: Spell Number 33: Howl of Frost.”
And just like that, winter arrived a month ahead of schedule.
“Today’s weather forecast: cloudy skies with a 100% chance of hailstones.”
[97.9%]
“Okay, we’re steadily accu—!”
[99.6%]
“Wut?!”
Evan blinked in surprise as the progress bar suddenly jumped, but even then, he didn’t forget to cast another Absolute Defence to shield himself from the trio of incoming attacks, following up with another Decimation of Blessings and Einherjar to restore the destroyed avatar.
His eyes scanned the battlefield, searching for the source of the sudden EXP surge, and quickly spotted Caeril pulling a spear out of a fallen Archdevil, shouting for nearby spirits to move away from Evan.
“Oh… that guy was one of the ones who got hit by Armageddon!”
The meteor strike had been registered as Evan’s contribution, so the Archdevil’s death granted him a portion of the EXP, even if only a minute fraction.
Now much closer to his goal, Evan quickly recast Howl of Frost, following up with another Judgement of the gods.
[99.7%]
“Machine god!”
At Evan’s command, the weapons and armour of the fallen scattered across the battlefield began to rise, then flew toward the space above his head, melting, twisting, and bending mid-air to form a massive missile nearly 100 metres long.
Naturally, the construct was targeted by devils who didn’t want anything Evan was doing to succeed, so Evan sent the recreated Einherjar after them, supporting it with a barrage of spears from EWP and Vindiction Strikes.
Once the missile was completed, its tail ignited with prismatic flames, and it shot off at supersonic speed toward the back of an Infernal Archdevil in the sky.
The spirit that had been fighting the Archdevil quickly descended, noticing the incoming projectile, but the Archdevil reacted a bit too late.
It crashed into them, launching them even higher into the sky. The Archdevil, vexed, struck the missile with a punch in an attempt to destroy it, but unfortunately, he was unable to properly see what the massive construct actually was due to his proximity.
Had he seen it clearly, he might not have made the choice that resulted in a faceful of prismatic flames fused with destruction law energy.
The energy stored in all the weapons and armour that made up the construct fuelled the blast, and the Archdevil, knocked out of the sky, came crashing down while the spirit he’d been fighting stared in surprise.
“What the hell are you waiting for?! Kill him already!”
Evan’s loud voice snapped the spirit out of his daze, and he charged at the momentarily incapacitated Archdevil, ending his life with a blast of multi-elemental magic straight to the face.
[99.9%]
“Hahaha! Good! Good!”
Evan, grinning with delight, kept spamming every spell he could, from ordinary attack magic to World Magic spells, draining the Arcanum Eclipsor to below 25% of its total capacity.
“Nuclear Magic: Radiant Cataclysm! Luminous Veil of Abjuration! Crimson Claws! Ice Nova! Coiled Lightning!”
The earth was torn apart by blinding explosions of fire, ice, and lightning, while dozens of devils were scorched, frozen, or ripped apart by overlapping elemental shockwaves.
Despite all that—
[99.9%]
“Glacial Snickerstrike! Frostfire Rush! Witch’s Moonblade! Emperor Pyrewing!”
Evan unleashed another volley of spells, bombarding devils with torrents of fire and ice powerful enough to reduce mountains to dust.
But—
[99.9%]
“Tsk… Da—! Stout Guardian!”
He summoned the towering armoured knight construct bearing a shield brimming with immense magical power, commanding it to raise the shield just in time to block the massive beam of magic unleashed from a flower that had silently bloomed on Triffid’s bark.
The beam tore through both the shield and the construct, continuing on to strike Evan, shattering his Absolute Defence before crashing into the raised Gazebind Aegis.
Evan was knocked to the ground, his feet carving through the earth until his back slammed against the World Isolation Barrier surrounding Arthur.
Only then did the beam dissipate.
Breathing heavily, Evan looked up at the withering flower, grinding his teeth as he extended his hand.
“Vanquisher!”
The sword shot out of his Einherjar’s hand and returned to his own just as he kicked off the ground, launching himself furiously at the approaching Vanguards.
“Get the fuck out of my way, you weeds!”
With a swing of his blade, a wave of flames erupted, incinerating them instantly as he charged straight at the platoons of devils rushing out of the sea of trees at the base of the massive Triffid.
It seemed Vonun had sent in reserve troops after unleashing the beam on Evan, but instead of encountering a weakened opponent as they had expected after the beam strike, they were met by a furious teenager wielding a sword blazing with rainbow flames.
“Prismatic Vortex!”
Evan swung his blade, energy spiralling as he unleashed the Vortex like a rolling wave that slammed into the devils from the side.
Immediately after, he pulled his blade back and launched another Vortex with a thrust, the energy swirling forward, ripping through the ground and tearing through several devils.
[99.9%]
One of them charged at him head-on, activating a Berserker skill that made his body swell to nearly twice Evan’s size as he lunged forward.
Evan met the attack barehanded, orange flames igniting along his arms as he caught the devil’s fists, spun him around, and hurled him into another devil, both crashing violently into each other.
Another devil came at him from the left, pushing him down and trying to stab him, but Evan’s fist crashed into the side of the devil’s head faster than their blade could come down.
‘Surging Impact!’
The orange flames blazing around his arm surged down its length, blasting into the devil’s face and blowing his head clean off as the corpse was sent flying.
[99.9%]
Rolling up onto one knee, Evan barely had a moment to breathe before five more devils came at him from every direction.
But before any of their weapons or magic could touch him, Evan clenched his left fist, still engulfed in orange flames, and punched the ground. Find the newest release on noᴠelfire.net
“COLLAPSE!”
**BOOOMM!!!
The devils all lost their footing, each one of them tumbling down as the ground beneath them crumbled.
The ground beneath the devils crumbled and gave way, sending them tumbling down. Some tried to take flight, but rock chunks shot upward with immense force, either smashing into them, slamming them into others, or striking their wings, damaging them.
Some were even grabbed by Evan and flung into their allies.
“Gravitational Maelstrom!”
The shattered earth and plummeting devils were hoisted into the air, slamming into one another as they were forcibly compacted into a single orb of mangled bodies.
Though they screamed and resisted with magic, the overwhelming force continued pressing them together.
[99.99%]
But since Evan couldn’t fully crush them with gravity alone, he incinerated them.
“Dawn Star!!”
A massive orb of flames descended from above, crashing into the compressed mass and exploding with overwhelming force.
A towering mushroom cloud of smoke and fire rose high into the air, scorching the land and burning devils alive.
Some were flung away, others died outright, and through it all, Evan, unaffected by the flames, charged at the survivors and lopped off heads as he moved.
Suddenly, Evan stumbled, collapsing onto the shattered ground and falling to his knees, nearly striking his head against a jagged stone as his vision blurred.
“!!”
Harsh breaths escaped his lips, and his dragon heart pounded so violently he could hear the thudding with his ears.
An enormous torrent of energy coursed through his body, and the sound of bones shifting and flesh writhing filled the air as his body was quite literally transformed from within.
His soul followed suit. He could feel the portion of its power available to him expanding, and every single node for manipulating ambient law energy on it was fully unlocked.
As the sounds of writhing flesh and crunching bone echoed in his ears, Evan lifted his head, and there, clear as day through his hazy, sweat-drenched vision, was the translucent board that had hovered in the corner of his view all this time, now displaying a figure that had finally changed.
