Reincarnated as a Half-God with SSS Abilities
Chapter 246 - 3.3 Unnatural Selection
Alarm bells rang throughout Primrose and Celeste landed just in time. Posi had another giant tsunami headed toward the human capital city but her giant brick wall pushed it away. The wind, however, carried over and ripped some of the skyscrapers’ tops clean off, killing hundreds of innocent workers.
"May you rest in peace." She said with a polite bow. "Wait, he’s gone again? What is he doing?!"
Poseidon landed near Hades in an unknown location, where there were several other gods and goddesses waiting in the dark.
"What’s next?" He asked Hades.
"Let our minions do the work for us for now. Let’s see how scattered and paranoid Exteria becomes. They’re starting to lose lots of lives and it’s only a matter of time before they all get grouped up for an easy finish," Hades cackled.
Each area was attacked: humans, uthra, vampires and demons but the predominant target was the demons and vampires, as they didn’t have water located in the area. The god of the sea could always teleport, manipulate a massive attack and escape quickly, without a trace.
Hades made the mistake of thinking they wouldn’t be organized and didn’t realize Rissa had a third form that turned her into a giant succubus. Sora teleported quickly to link with her so she could make use of his unlimited stamina while Julius, Rissa, Xander and Diana fought off more of the pentagram eyed creatures.
The vampire settlement had a rough start, even with the large army and Originals because Hades decided to send more of the toughest batch of creations, as well as a large mixture of batches.
"We need to come up with a damn naming system for these creepy creations," Dorian said calmly while sitting with the other Original leaders making a plan.
"I’ve seen 10 different pentagram colors now and 3 different skin types. There’s white, blue and black and the eyes are just as crazy. Each one takes a unique way to kill it and they will keep attacking, literally like a chicken with a head cut off," Soren said while shaking his head.
"This is pure madness! Even the acid has no effect on some of them. What in the hell did Hades and that masked god create?" Camilla asked.
Jax rushed through the door with an update.
"Blue pupils we have to incinerate, the black body ones we have to cut off cleanly at the neck," He said while breathing heavily.
"Excellent. How many vampires have we lost?"
"Around 1,000 but we’ve killed more of them than they have of us. The problem is they keep regenerating or coming back somehow. It’s like Hades has a cloning machine or something, I don’t know how else to describe it! How are they opening a portal and sending more of these things out so rapidly?"
"Well, it seems now we know what took so long for him to attack. I wonder how many batches of these creations and how many different types exist. Send word to Sora and give him any intel you know. Hopefully my son is paying close attention from Paradise and will have a battle strategy for us soon." Dorian said while tossing Jax a potion.
"Agreed. If there’s anyone who can solve this, it’s definitely him and the slow motion might help him. He had 6 months to watch in the 12 hours leading up to this and we’ve been fighting for 8. My worry is they don’t seem to need to rest and we do. How are we going to keep this pace up my King?"
"Don’t over-work yourself. Remember, we have gods on our side. I’m sure Athena and the others will be able to figure out something," Dorian said while noticing he had a text message.
He read the message and shook his head. "Well, thank Selene and the gods, we don’t have water by us. The masked god was Poseidon. The humans and Uthra are going to need a lot of help. It was the little ones who protected Haven from complete catastrophe."
"The god of the sea on the enemy side. What a shame. He could have been so helpful for us!" Soren slammed his hands on the table. He wasn’t one to normally show such emotion. It was part of the reason why Sasha was always so calm. The Valencia family were very good at keeping their emotions calm, even in the toughest of situations.

Back at the demon settlement, Julius and company were trying to figure out the pattern of their enemies. Xander and Diana were doing their best to keep track of each type and were very grateful when Xander’s parents arrived. Emma and Emery were always on standby in the mansion where Connor was chosen to stay with Koda as central intelligence. This way, any information the Lockheart’s communicated telepathically could be sent to the twins and given to Connor.
’Yellow, cyan, green, red, black...’ Xander thought. ’Those are the colors of those creepy pentagram pupils I’ve seen so far. All the host bodies are white aside from the ones who are hard to detect, those bodies are jet black.’
The twins repeated the details to Connor, who continuously updated the main database on their centralized computer. A signal would go out to each leadership team: The Steele family, the Smiths, Julius and Rissa and the Ashwoods.
"I can’t believe how many of these things Hades has created! It’s like a never-ending swarm!" Rissa shouted in her 70 foot form while charming them to chase her.
It was always amusing for the party whenever Rissa was in her gigantic form with enemies charmed. They would chase her around deeply infatuated with her while she would crush the others along the way. It was easy to kill them, but Xander noticed that anything with a green pentagram pupil wouldn’t be charmed.
The annoying thing was how quickly they would regenerate and the party still hadn’t found the proper way to finish off each enemy. Some would need to be headed, others the soul ripped out, some shattered, others power drained. If they weren’t dealt with properly, they’d just regenerate and continue fighting.
"This is going to be a long battle. Make sure you two don’t put yourselves in any unnecessary danger ok?" Connor said while hugging the twins.
"We won’t!" They promised, while petting Koda nervously.
