Chapter 241 - 2.118 The Only Split Soul [BONUS]

"Didn’t I tell you the vampires would have the throne after Sora and Brie?" Dorian asked Camilla.

"My husband, the 2500 year old detective," she said before kissing him. "I’m just glad they can retire after this war."

"Yes, it will be soon, I’m afraid." Dorian frowned, then smiled.

"It will be long and treacherous, but I truly believe we will win and Sora and his family will be safe!"

"What about everyone else?" Camilla frowned.

"That, I cannot say for certain." Dorian said with his face in his hand. "I just don’t know!"

Sora woke up and noticed everyone was calmly chatting without a care in the world.

"Welcome back sleepyhead." Brie kissed him on the forehead. "I feel free. What happened?"

"Well everyone, Dorian and Camilla are the new King and Queen of Exteria!" Sora announced.

"Wait, no way!" Jubelle screamed in excitement. "That’s so awesome. I’m so happy for you two!"

Everyone gave them both love and congratulations. Emery and Emma were happy they’d see their parents more, not realizing they already say them every day anyway. They were about to turn 3, which means they were really 9, but they were still too young to truly understand how lucky they were. Xander sighed in relief and Diana kissed his cheek.

"Anyway...so, I am not originally from Exteria." Sora started to explain.

"Slow down, what?" Levi asked.

"Let me rephrase, the Sora you know is from Exteria. I was born here and grew up here and didn’t retain my memories until the other part of my soul died on Earth, over 5000 years ago. I was a regular human on Earth."

"Wait, you lived on a planet who used the sun that exploded to create my race? That’s so cool!" Ignis smiled.

"I honestly believe it," Leila shrugged. "You’re a god now, I’m a dragonness, Pride’s a freakin` god, I don’t think anything would surprise me at this point."

"Anyway, Chronos visited me in the hospital and offered me a second chance at life after I saved 14 orphans. That Orphanage took me in and I was finally able to meet my real mom in Paradise. Brie has known since Pride nearly killed us. My family and the gods know, but yeah, I also had this weird system thing that I had pulled out of my by Athena that granted me access to all my abilities without having to cast them myself."

"The heck is that?" Jubelle asked, confused.

"We’ve done it!" Levi exclaimed.

"He’s right! Jubelle is finally confused!" Sasha cheered.

Jubelle laughed. "A system? What was it like?"

"It was an AI based interface but it acted really suspicious at times. When Brie and I did our elven blessing, it tried to block the soul transfer but I manually over-rode it. When we saved Leila, it just took control of my body. When the second prophecy came, I asked Athena to get rid of it because if I was going to destroy the world, I wanted it to be a cause of my actions, not some stupid system Chronos built."

"Oh, so Chronos built it and had it in your split soul. That makes more sense. But why aren’t you King and Queen anymore?" Bishop asked curiously.

"Because Athena said Hades will focus on my family in this war and all of us needed clear heads. I know Xander has been stressed about it ever since he got upset with Eris."

"Thanks Dad. I’m glad everyone knows." Xander smiled.

No one was upset and no one wanted to leave the party. They just had so many questions, which Sora and Brie answered. Xander and Diana eventually went for a walk and he told her how much better he felt, consistently apologizing for the way it was affecting him. She told him it was ok and she was glad he was always open and honest with her. He promised her he would always do the same for her.

After Sora finally got done explaining everything, he felt relieved and so did Brie.

"Well, I guess that’s one hell of a secret to keep all this time!" Sasha laughed. "And Levi calls himself the master of deception."

"I’ve always said there isn’t anything Sora can’t do. I used to refer to him as Sora the Great, remember?" Levi laughed.

"I just remember seeing Brie and wondering how Chronos got away with sending me to the dungeon she was in right away if god’s couldn’t interfere and how Celeste was shapeshifted into a different form to protect King Tanquinn. So much has changed everyone, let’s just enjoy tomorrow’s party and whatever happens, happens."

After a great night of sleep, it was the day of the party. They didn’t feel like inviting a large amount of guests on the off chance Hades decided to attack. Emery and Emma were having fun, opening all their presents they were spoiled with from the party.

"3 going on 30," Brie joked to Sora.

"Xander’s already 18, let’s not push it," he laughed.

"And Pride’s kids will be right behind them. Sora, are you sure we’re going to all make it through this war?"

"No. I’m not. I think our family will be fine, but I worry about the people in the party. Hopefully, if they do pass away, they’re like Luna and can live peacefully in Paradise and be remembered as heroes who helped take down a great evil that threatened this planet."

"I can’t lose anyone from our family and I can’t lose Sasha. I know that sounds really terrible, but she’s been there for me through everything." Brie frowned.

"It doesn’t sound terrible and it’s completely understandable. She’s also pregnant, which is why her and Levi have no choice but to sit out. Emery and Emma need to hang out in Paradise with Pride, Eris and their triplets. I don’t think Leila, Ignis and Scarlett should be there either, nor should Lucious, Sera and Iris."

"That leaves us pretty short-handed, though." Brie shrugged. "I’m sure it’s nothing we can’t handle together."
