Chapter 595: Chapter 459: Brief Breakthrough in the Battle with Levi Seymour (Part 3)

A spiritual attack. It struck directly at a superpower user’s most vulnerable point—their mind, the seat of their Divine Sense—disrupting their ability to use spiritual power.

The move was indeed effective. During the brief opening created when Levi Seymour was staggered by Flora Bloom’s spiritual attack, Flora noticed that the Spiritual Imprints inside Caleb Bloom and the others within her dimension had finally faded and disappeared. In their place, a new imprint formed—one tied to her own dimension.

’Although I’m extremely reluctant to place a dimensional imprint on my own people,’ Flora thought, ’especially my father and brother...’ Still, it was far better than them being controlled by someone else.

Now that her father’s group was no longer under Levi Seymour’s control, Flora was free of her biggest worry.

The spiritual attacks she unleashed with her current War God Level spiritual power were more than enough to disrupt all of Levi Seymour’s offensive moves.

Between every attempted attack, Levi Seymour had to expend twice the spiritual power in excruciating pain just to fend off the interference from Flora’s mental assault. In such a state, he was no match for the two of them.

However, Levi Seymour was the head of his family for a reason; he had more than just this one trick up his sleeve.

"You think this is enough to defeat me? HA HA HA, you underestimate me!" As Levi Seymour spoke, a weapon suddenly appeared in his hand.

The weapon appeared to be a jet-black sword, but it shimmered with a dark golden light. The edge was visibly sharp, and the blade and hilt were forged as a single piece. A golden sigil was emblazoned on the sword’s body.

"Lex Cross, do you remember this sword?" Levi Seymour shouted into the air, noticing that Lex had vanished.

Lex Cross shuddered and materialized from the devouring shadows. "How do you have my Cross family ancestor’s sword!"

"HA HA HA! Your Cross family ancestor has been missing for ages—who knows if he’s even alive! How can you still claim this sword belongs to your family? It now belongs to the Seymour family.

Today, I’ll use it to eliminate both you and this woman of yours, whose potential is frankly terrifying."

The blade suddenly pulsed with golden energy. Flora had seen weapons emit energy before; the manufacturing department at her Morhaven base produced countless such weapons daily.

Occasionally, a few would be attuned to the Gold Ability, allowing them to emit their forger’s power when used.

"Flora, get back!" Lex shouted. "This sword is a Divine Artifact forged by my ancestor! It’s not just unbelievably sharp—it also possesses three superpowers: Thunder, Gold, and Devouring!"

"I’m not afraid," Flora said, glaring fiercely at Levi Seymour.

"Well, well, how touching. A perfect match," Levi sneered. "Did you think I didn’t know you’ve also awakened the Devouring System? The Cross family, with their peerlessly powerful Thunder Element, are already an anomaly in the Star Nation. And now we have you—a monster with the Devouring System. How could I possibly let you live? Now, have a taste of the power of the Divine Artifact your precious ancestor once wielded!"

Wielding the black sword, Levi Seymour charged at Lex Cross with incredible speed. Lex’s body was enveloped in the power of his Devouring System, which should have been able to suppress Levi, who was superior to him in both ability and speed.

But just as Lex was about to merge with the shadows, the sword suddenly exposed his position.

The Devouring power could both counter and consume itself. Naturally, the power imbued in the sword by the Cross family ancestor was far stronger than Lex’s own.

Flora tossed Polly Cross onto the Golden Crow’s back. "Take her and fly up high. Don’t come down until I tell you to."

Flora knew that conventional weapons were useless now. She tried attacking Levi Seymour with her Fire Element, but with a single swing, the sword’s Devouring power completely absorbed her True Sun Fire.

"Your ancestor really screwed you over!" Flora yelled. "This sword is a menace!"

Unwilling to concede, Flora began cycling through her various superpowers to harass Levi Seymour.

Her Plant Element vines tried to restrain him, but they were severed the instant they touched the sword’s aura. Her Fire Element attacks, though originating from the same source as True Sun Fire, were likewise swallowed by the sword’s Devouring power every time.

Only her Spiritual Ability was still able to significantly affect Levi Seymour’s Divine Sense and spiritual power.

So, Flora focused on attacking Levi Seymour with her spiritual power, supplementing it with harassing attacks from her other abilities, all while slowly making her way toward Shauna Wallace.

Under her relentless assault, Levi Seymour’s spiritual power was almost completely depleted.

Meanwhile, Lex Cross took on the role of the primary attacker. Using his Devouring System and Dark Element powers in tandem, he blended into the environment, rapidly changing positions. He made more than a dozen attempts to get close, succeeding only once.

But once was enough.

Lex Cross’s dagger was nowhere near as powerful as the black sword, but at point-blank range, the damage was just as deadly.

His dagger appeared to strike for the vital point over Levi Seymour’s heart, but Levi blocked it. It was a feint; his other hand, shaped into a claw, shot straight for Levi’s eyes.

Levi reacted quickly. Reeling from a sharp pain in his eyes, he swung the sword defensively, managing to slash Lex’s arm in the process.

The wound was bone-deep. Worse, because it was inflicted by a much higher level of Devouring power, even Flora’s spiritual water couldn’t heal it.

"Flora, don’t waste your energy. The Devouring power consumes everything; your spiritual water is useless against this wound. Levi Seymour is blind now—we can’t let him get away!"
