An Hao saw the snacks at Qin Xue’s house and thought of her daughter. She didn’t need much, just a little to take home for her to nibble on.

"Sure, there’s really plenty of it here. I’ll pack some up for you before you leave." Qin Xue hadn’t finished eating the ones she made back at her mom’s place, and this time around, she managed to make more. She couldn’t let the kids go without snacks, could she?

"How was I supposed to know you’d be so quick? Watching you savor that sourness makes me want to try it too. Put one in my mouth too." Qin Xue leaned in, asking An Hao to feed her, as both her hands were covered in flour and couldn’t hold things.

"Did you make these specifically for infusing in water?" After stuffing one into Qin Xue’s mouth, An Hao glanced at the dried plums in the glass jar.

"Yeah, I thought they’d be good for making a cooling drink and also getting rid of the greasy feeling. It’s great, and like now, when there’s nothing to do, you can put one in your mouth and pass the time. That’s why I made a bit more. Do you want to take some home too?" Qin Xue asked An Hao, as she had a few jars of them. Taking one or two wouldn’t be a problem.

"Alright, give me a little of everything. I’ll try them all." An Hao thought Qin Xue’s preserved fruits were a bit different from the ones she had bought before, so she wanted to try the others to see if they were also different. If Qin Xue’s were tastier, she could just come to her to buy them in the future. She wouldn’t need to buy those expensive yet not-so-tasty ones from outside anymore.

"Of course, that’s not a problem. Just take some of each kind I have at home. This way, you can tell me which ones you like, and I’ll make more next time." Qin Xue had quite a few fruit trees in her space, so she never ran out of fruit to make preserves.

It was really by chance that she got these. Some she found at the market; she bought them and planted the seeds in her space to grow. Then, when she went to Zhongzhai and saw rare fruit trees, she’d also plant those seeds, gradually getting a variety of fruits to eat.

So if she wants to make preserved fruits in the future, there’s no need to worry about running out of fruit. With plenty on hand, she was even thinking of juicing some. "No need, Chu Molin is helping me. You just sit and enjoy some snacks, but don’t eat too much, okay? We’ll be eating soon, and you don’t want to ruin your appetite." Qin Xue reminded her and turned back to the kitchen to continue cooking.

"Chu Molin, can you give me a hand?" Qin Xue looked at the dough in front of her. She didn’t feel like kneading anymore. What else could she do but get the man present to help out? If you want delicious food, you must prepare the ingredients well.

"Alright, you go sit and rest; I’ll take care of it." Chu Molin glanced at Qin Xue, instantly knowing what she wanted him to do.

"That won’t do, you knead the dough, and I’ll do the other tasks." Qin Xue felt a bit embarrassed to leave everything to him while she just sat around.
