Chapter 474: I feel disgusted when I see her (IV)

Han Yong frowned. He immediately glanced at the man and asked with disdain, "Why is he here? Who told him that I am injured?"

Old Madam Han found it funny. She smacked him on the back of his head and said, "Why would he come for you? He came here for the mother of his child. After all, Ziyan is pregnant with the seed of the Yang family."

Hearing this, Han Yong soon realised that Yang Jianming was not there for him. His face turned a little red as he realised that he was being a bit too self-righteous. But fortunately, he turned his head and lowered it so no one was able to see his expression. But then, the rest of Old Madam Han’s remark was processed in his head, and he snapped his head back up. "What did you say? Who is pregnant with whose child?"

He thought that he had misheard something. He just went into the operating room, and all of a sudden, Han Ziyan ended up becoming the mother of Yang Jianming’s child. What was going on? How come such a big thing happened in just a short while? He wanted to ask a lot of questions, but then his stretcher was pushed by the male nurses who took him away to his ward.

Everyone in the Han family followed him, but Meng Yunhan stayed put.

She was not going to leave until Han Ziyan came out of the operating room. Even if no one in the Han family cared about Han Ziyan, she did care about her! Unfortunately for her, Han Ziyan’s surgery was not as simple. It took a while for the nurse from the operating room to come out. "The child is saved, but the mother’s condition is not good. You need to sign this form so we can proceed with the surgery."

When Meng Yunhan heard this, she was momentarily stunned. She looked at the surgery consent form and quickly signed her name. "You have to save my daughter!" As the nurse was about to leave, Meng Yunhan hurriedly reached out and grasped her by the hands. "Please do everything in your power to save her life!" She was really worried that something might happen to Han Ziyan.

The nurse naturally understood her concerns and patted her on the hand. "Don’t worry too much. This is a minor surgery, and it isn’t life-threatening at all."

Only then did Meng Yunhan heave a sigh of relief.

However, once the nurse left, Meng Yunhan’s expression darkened. She was quite upset over the fact that the child was saved. It would have been better if the child had died. After all, the child actually belonged to Yang Jianming. That man was no longer the young master of the Yang family but a waste that had no future. How could she let her daughter marry someone like that? But now that the child was saved, she was worried that the entire Han family would push Han Ziyan to marry Yang Jianming.

What was she supposed to do now? Things were not looking good at all!

Meng Yunhan wanted to keep some distance between Han Ziyan and Old Madam Han because she was worried that the two of them would make a fuss. But to her surprise, the two of them were in the same ward, and Han Ziyan’s bed was right next to Han Yong’s.

Han Yong was extremely disgusted and panicked. He turned to look at the nurse and said in a bad temper, "Can you change the room? I don’t want to stay with her." If he stayed with Han Ziyan, then he would have to stay with Meng Yunhan. As he knew the virtue of his mother, he knew that there would not be a day of peace if he were to stay with his mother.

The nurse glanced at him and rolled her eyes. "Do you think this is a hotel? Of course we do not have any extra rooms. There are only the two of you at the hospital on the day of the festival. It is more convenient to stay in the same ward. Do you want our nurses to make special rounds for no reason?"

Han Ziyan’s face was pale as she smiled coldly. When did she say that she was willing to stay in the same ward with Han Yong and the Han family? If not for the fact that she was pushed into the ward without being given a choice, then she too would have chosen to stay away from them. But there was no way. This was the condition of the county hospital.

They had to share the beds even if they did not want to, since there were limited beds.

Yang Jianming and Mother Yang were just as embarrassed. They did not want to stay in the same ward either, but unfortunately for them, Old Madam Han refused to let them go. She told them that since they were the relatives of the child, they had to stay back even if they did not want to.

"Grandma, you stay here with him." Han Xuehan glanced at her elder brother and then at Han Ziyan. She pursed her lips and said in a low voice, "I will go and buy some dinner for us to eat." Because of these two incidents, their family did not eat anything.

"Go." Old Madam Han was also a bit hungry. They were preparing a feast, but because of what happened to Han Ziyan, they did not get a chance to enjoy a single thing.

She turned to look at Han Ziyan with a complicated look in her eyes before turning away.

Han Ziyan’s heart fell even deeper when she saw the look in Old Madam Han’s eyes. No matter how foolish she was, she knew that the old hag had lost all the affection that she had. There was not much affection to begin with now that such a thing had happened; she knew that the old woman would definitely not support her. She had to come up with a way to protect herself.
