Chapter 634: As Long as You’re Okay

"She’s fine. You two go eat breakfast. I’ll take you to school in a bit."

"Dad, you don’t need to take us. My sister and I can go by ourselves. The school isn’t too far, anyway. Besides, I should’ve been going on my own for a while now."

Qin Wenze thought that would be fine. "Alright then. Take your sister with you. Be careful on the road and stay safe."

"Okay!" Qin Yue took Qin Ruqiao to eat breakfast.

By the time Qin Wenshu arrived, the brother and sister had already put on their backpacks and left for school on their own.

"Brother Wen Ze, you didn’t take the kids?"

"They went by themselves. I’ll go to the hospital with you."

’His own sister is lying in the hospital, and he’s not even going to see her? How could he justify that?’

"Alright then, let’s get going!"

"Wait a second, let me grab the breakfast."

Qin Wenshu was left speechless by Qin Wenze’s words. "Brother Wen Ze, you’re just like my mom. Doesn’t the hospital cafeteria have breakfast? You don’t need to bring any. My mom already had me bring a ton."

Just then, Granny Qin had Aunt Li bring over the packages she had prepared.

There were two large ones. One was full of clothes.

The other held two washbasins, towels, and other such things.

They even brought two thermoses.

"This is a change of clothes for your mother. She’s a stickler for cleanliness and definitely won’t be home for the next few days, so take these for her."

Qin Wenze really had almost forgotten about that.

Besides, even if he had remembered, it wouldn’t have been proper for him to go into his parents’ room and pack clothes for his mother.

He was surprised to find that Granny Qin and Aunt Li had already taken care of everything.

He took the two large packages. "Alright."

Granny Qin urged them to hurry and leave.

Qin Wenze rode in the passenger seat.

The two of them arrived at the hospital room.

"Dad, Mom," Qin Wenze called out. He then turned to Mrs. Qin and said, "Mom, Grandma had Aunt Li pack these clothes for you. Take a look."

The couple hadn’t even washed their faces yet.

Seeing the packages, Mrs. Qin took one and opened it.

First, she handed her husband his towel, toothbrush, and cup.

"You go wash up first."

Then she took out her own.

Just then, Qin Wenhao and Fu Mingxue pushed open the door and entered the room.

When Mrs. Qin saw them, she said, "Why didn’t you sleep in a little?"

"We got enough sleep," Fu Mingxue replied, studying her mother-in-law’s expression. Although she still looked haggard, her spirits seemed much better than last night.

Her eyes, however, were still very red.

’She probably didn’t sleep at all last night.’

"Sister-in-law, perfect timing," Qin Wenshu said. "My mom made a ton of breakfast and had me bring it over. It should still be warm. You guys should eat."

Fu Mingxue was momentarily speechless.

’When she had suggested buying breakfast for her parents-in-law this morning, Qin Wenhao had stopped her—he’d said someone from home would definitely bring it. If it wasn’t Qin Wenshu, it would be Qin Wenze. And he had been right.’

"Well, please thank Second Aunt for us. But we can wait and eat with Dad and Mom," she said, not giving Mrs. Qin a chance to refuse. "Mom, you should go wash up too! We’re not in a rush."

Hearing this, Mrs. Qin found nothing more to say and went out to wash up.

Qin Wenze took the opportunity to ask Qin Wenhao about their sister, Qin Wenying.

He learned that she was out of danger; they just needed her to wake up so they could run another checkup and confirm there were no problems.

A wave of relief washed over him.
