Reborn in the 80s and Remarrying an Officer, Let the Ungrateful Cry!
Chapter 616: Don’t Always Blame the Woman, He Himself Is the Biggest Problem
Mr. Qin’s face darkened as he watched the two, one chasing and beating the other.
He couldn’t hold back a low growl. "That’s enough. Stop it."
Granny Qin quickly chimed in, "Alright, alright. The money’s been borrowed. Let’s just leave it at that for now!"
Mrs. Qin gave Qin Wenze a few more hard slaps before she finally let him be.
"From now on, half of your salary goes to your grandmother to repay the debt."
Granny Qin immediately protested, "I’m in no rush for the money—"
Mrs. Qin’s face was grim. "Mom, this is mandatory. It has nothing to do with whether you’re in a rush for it."
Mr. Qin nodded in agreement. "That’s right. From now on, half your salary goes to your grandmother."
Qin Wenze naturally agreed as well. "Okay!"
He let out a sigh of relief.
"One more thing. You are not allowed to live at home."
As soon as Mrs. Qin said that, Granny Qin’s heart ached for him. "He’s given his house to Gao Lan, he has no money, and his job doesn’t provide a dorm. If we don’t let him stay here, is he supposed to live on the streets?"
"Wenyin’s mother, let him stay. At the very least, he can pay for his food every month."
The truth was, Granny Qin felt the two children were still too young; they needed their father, after all.
Besides, how could they let Qin Wenze get away with just having children and not raising them?
Seeing Granny Qin speak up for him, Qin Wenze wisely seized the opportunity. "Mom, if I move in, I’ll turn over my entire monthly salary to you, except for ten yuan I’ll keep for myself. After paying back half to Grandma, the rest will be for room and board. If there’s anything left over, you can just save it for the two kids."
It must be said, his words struck a chord with Mrs. Qin.
She glanced sideways at Qin Wenze. "You’re really only going to keep ten yuan and give the rest to me?"
Seeing his mom starting to relent, Qin Wenze nodded eagerly. "Yes, I’ll only keep ten yuan for myself."
Mrs. Qin knew his salary was about seventy yuan.
Take away the ten he’d keep, plus the thirty for Granny Qin.
That left thirty in her hands.
After a quick calculation, she made up her mind.
However, she still glanced in Mr. Qin’s direction.
Mr. Qin spoke up. "You’ve always been the one to make decisions about household matters. It’s your call."
"Alright then, so be it. But let me make this clear upfront: if you ever decide to get married again—you have to move out of this house. I won’t allow you to live in the Qin family home after you’re married."
Qin Wenze couldn’t help but smile bitterly at her words. "Mom, I’ve already been divorced twice. How could I possibly get married again?"
’I won’t ruin anyone else’s life.’
Mrs. Qin sneered, "That’s what you thought last time, but you got remarried faster than you could fart. Anyway, that’s my one rule. Just make sure you understand it."
Qin Wenze: "—Okay, I understand."
He also sighed in relief.
’I’m penniless right now. If the family doesn’t let me move back in, I’ll really have nowhere to go.’
’I can’t just go and crash in Qin Wenshu’s marital home, can I?’
’Even if Wenshu agreed, I’d be too embarrassed.’
’A twice-divorced guy like me crashing in their marital home... If Second Aunt found out, she’d probably be furious.’
’Ten yuan... that’ll be enough for me.’
’Lunch at the office doesn’t cost much.’
’I can eat breakfast and dinner at home, and besides, I don’t smoke or drink.’
’There are no other expenses.’
"That settles the matter of the divorce. Also, Tomb-Sweeping Day is in a few days. Wenhao won’t be back, so you will make the arrangements for visiting the graves this time."
Mr. Qin truly disapproved of his eldest son’s marital affairs.
’Everyone else in the Qin family is doing just fine. Why is it that when it comes to him, he can’t pick a good person?’
’He shouldn’t always blame the woman. He himself is the biggest problem.’
