Many immediately gasped at the number Michael threw away. A million liters of oil?!

It must be mentioned that in these auctions, most of the fuel sold were only in the amounts of tens of thousands, or close to a hundred thousand.

But a million liters of oil?! That would be enough fuel to use for an entire year of consumption for one company!

Everyone wanted that prize.

"A million liters?!" asked a duke from the crowd.

Michael nodded. "Yes. A million liters of fuel will be given to the fourth to tenth place."

Immediately, many of the guests started out of their seats. That kind of prize was only given to the fourth and tenth place?! What kind of absurd thinking was that?!

"How could that be?!"

"A million liters for fourth to tenth place... I think it will be better if we purposefully lose the race to get that prize."

"The Goldstones offered territory. But... I think fuel is much more important, no?"

Immediately, the coup attempt from the Conglomerates was easily diverted by Michael’s words. The attention was placed back on Reborn. And people began to realize and understand that this event truly was something that they had devised on their own.

"If that is just the prize for the fourth to tenth place, then what kind of prize were they thinking of giving the 1st place?"

Michael watched with an expectant smile as his guests began to speculate on the kind of prize he was willing to give the participants. Of course, he had long prepared for this.

He had let the Conglomerates offer their own prizes. It wouldn’t matter anyway. They were so interested and focused on 1st place.

But Michael knew that that wasn’t the true goal of this event. This race was merely an introduction of Reborn to the Elite Society. Meaning, the more products they placed in these royals’ minds, the better.

So, he knew that giving away good prizes for those who didn’t place first to third, would be crucial.

He would be giving away other Rebornian products, such as appliances and a year’s worth of electricity and other such things during the event.

And of course, one couldn’t enjoy a race without refreshments. The food and drinks that would be served here were all made from McTony’s. Meaning, that company would also get implanted into everyone’s minds whenever they thought of automobiles.

It was a kind of subtle advertisement that was so prevalent back in Michael’s world. And now, he was using it to win against the other Conglomerates.

He knew that they were too popular. The five Conglomerates were already implanted into everyone’s mind, and Michael would be hard pressed trying to overtake them in that regard.

So, he had to do the opposite. Instead of going big, he was going small.

"Please exit the premises so that we can start the race," he said to the guests. "Our Rebornian attendants will be guiding you to your places in the circuit."

The Lamias and the Satyrs of Reborn immediately began assisting the royals, giving them happy smiles and good accommodation.

"As for the participants, please go over to your respective garages and prepare the automobiles for the race. You have all been given the rules of the match long before this, but please read through it again. Thank you and good luck."

"You did well, Young Master," said Castelle as Michael entered the backstage with Yuna.

"Yeah. You were very charming," said Yuna.

Michael blushed and awkwardly rubbed his hair. "I didn’t do much. You guys were the ones who prepared everything. I can’t even imagine the kind of organization it takes to make every single participant ready for our race."

Castelle smiled. "It was pretty easy. We simply needed to send our Shadow Orcs and subtly ’suggest’ them to have their automobiles ready by the designated time or else..."

It was at this point that Sheina entered the room and gave everyone a thumbs up.

"Everyone has been given their seats, Lord Michael! Our engineers have also finished their inspection of all automobiles," said Sheina.

Michael nodded. "How about our very own driver?"

"Elizabeth has entered the circuit along with the other drivers. They’re warming up right now with a few laps."

Then, Michael turned towards the window.

The racing circuit had landed just a few hundred meters away from their headquarters. He could already see the guests entering the circuit, escorted by their attendants.

Rebornian flags waved along the railings of the stairs. McTony’s advertisements were flashing on the screens above. This kind of marketing was sure to make Reborn stand out amongst the others.

"How about our secret plan?" Michael asked Castelle.

Castelle smiled. "It is working, Young Master. We have already been approached by some of the royals asking where they can purchase it for themselves."

"Please take your seats here," said the Lamia attendant to the Duke of Mastings.

He had a large estate here in the Elite Society and was considered one of the most important people of the Upper Queens region. Even Conglomerates had to be respectful of him.

"Dad! I want to go home! This is boring!" said the duke’s young son.

"Shush now, child. As royalty, this is our responsibility. We must show our dignity, as you will once you inherit my title in the future."

"BORING! BORING! BORING!" said the young son, kicking and screaming and disturbing their neighboring VIP area.

"Honey, I think we should just go home. You know he’s not going to stay still in events like this. It’ll only get worse," said the duke’s wife.

The duke pursed his lips. It would be an embarrassment for their entire family if they were to leave so early. But if they continued to stay, his son would continue to have a temper tantrum and further disgrace their name as well.

It was a lose-lose situation.

"Young master, would you like to watch this?"

The Lamia attendant handed the young son a large tablet. It showed an animated vegetable swaying back and forth.
