Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family
Chapter 1362: Liquid Void
The Western Pole company was no slouch when it came to their preparations. The Oscorpe had fully informed them of the fact that the Lionhearts had fully turned redcoat, and went over to the Rebornian side.
This meant that the Rebornian army were now equipped with the signature Lionheart swordsmanship style.
Of course, they couldn’t have known that the Rebornian army had learned this swordstyle themselves. That was supposed to be impossible. But they guessed that there were Lionheart family members secretly embedded in the Rebornian army, empowering their forces.
And they knew that those Lionhearts would be the greatest threat they would face in this duel.
So, they immediately planned a counter against them.
And all it cost was a single item.
"The Liquid Void," Michael muttered under his breath.
According to Caliburn, there was one thing that the Western Pole company would be using to fight against them.
And that was through the Liquid Void.
It was a magical item that would snuff out any kind of fire-related abilities in an area-of-effect from where the item had exploded.
Everyone knew that fire thrived thanks to three aspects. Fuel, Air, and Heat. With those three ingredients, one could make fire and empower it to burn through anything in the world. That was the basis of how the Lionhearts had made their own swordstyle.
But it also meant that if one deprived them of those three, then those flames would immediately be snuffed out.
The Liquid Void destroyed all three. It didn’t even care if the fire was made out of Aubility Power, for the item itself was also made out of Aubility Power.
Liquid Void was an Aubility Power made by a certain Nascent Spirit alchemist residing in the Queens region. The Oscorpes must have hired his services in order to arm their soldiers with this item, which would basically nullify any strength that the Lionhearts could muster.
"This must have cost them billions of Sand Dollars," Caliburn said from the side. "Only a Conglomerate would be so wasteful."
But despite this obviously bad situation the Rebornian army had found themselves, Michael and Caliburn remained calm and composed.
Yes, the Western Pole company had the upper ground. They had the element of surprise. They even had the perfect counter to the Eternal Flame swordstyle.
However, what they didn’t have was the unique power of the new Rebornian soldiers.
And that was none other than their new recruits, the Red Mankeys!
...
...
...
Loren and the Rebornian soldiers made camp at the bottom of the mountain. Surrounded by nothing but thousands of trees, they couldn’t even see the very apex of the mountain beyond them.
Just then, a Red Mankey scout came rushing in from the greenery. "They’re coming!"
Immediately, the Rebornian soldiers got up from their resting positions and got into their positions.
They had chosen to be at a disadvantage. They had positioned themselves at a location where they could be seen easily. Where ambush could come from anywhere.
Why?
This was because they wanted their opponents to come to them!
It was at this moment that thousands upon thousands of blue balls descended from the skies at the speed of a bullet.
The Red Mankeys seemingly had no chance to react to these barrage of blue balls.
And at the moment when these items crashed onto the ground, onto the soldiers’ armors, onto the Red Mankeys’ fur, a shockwave of power emanated out of impact.
Mist made out of Aubility Power permeated like smoke, covering only the people that had been struck with the Liquid Void. However, the sheer number of these items had caused the entire mist of Aubility Power to spread through the entire battlefield.
"ATTACK!"
From beyond the trees, the Western Pole armies charged forwards with their swords and shields raised. Each of their equipments were specialized items that had been imbued with anti-flame capabilities, increasing their resistance against the Eternal Flame by at least thrice the normal amount!
The Rebornian soldiers executed their Eternal Flame swordstyle forms, trying to conjure the Flaming Bulwark that had protected them during the attack of the Magical Monster Chimeras.
But unfortunately, no flame billowed up from their swords. Barely a flicker or a spark had realized from their practiced forms.
It was at this point that the Western Pole companies charged with renewed excitement and vigor. Their ambush worked!
Surrounded at all sides, they began charging towards the helpless Rebornian soldiers and enclosing them into a smaller and smaller circle.
But however much they pushed, the Rebornians held steady.
"WHAT?! Soldiers! What are you doing?! Push them!"
The Western Pole general watching from behind could only stomp his feet in frustration. Without those Lionhearts empowering the Rebornian army, these people should be easy pickings! As weak as newborns!
But unexpectedly, they were able to mount a defense. It was only when the general looked much more closely that he realized what was happening!
"These Rebornians... they’re... they’re—"
Using nothing but their sword skills, the Rebornian soldiers outmaneuvered their opponents with ease. The Western Pole soldiers were stronger. More empowered with their Aubilities. But even so, those advantages weren’t being fully utilized when they couldn’t even land a proper hit against their opponents!
The Rebornian soldiers weaved and swung their swords like a dance. Attacking fiercely at one point, before retreating the next moment.
And whenever one of their men was getting pressured by their enemies, they would rotate amongst each other and provide support.
They moved seamlessly. Backing away and retreating without even looking back. And somehow, they would know that a soldier would move and take their place.
This was absolute trust! Perfect camaraderie and coordination!
The Oscorpe Conglomerate had rated the Rebornian army as a beginner. But this showing was anything but. They moved like veterans that had experienced life and death battles for years and years!
"Damn it! How are they so good?!" the general cursed.
And there was also one thing he noticed. Despite being unable to use their Aubility Powers, these Rebornian soldiers were able to take the Western Pole army’s blows without suffering much damage!
"What kind of equipment do they have?!"
