Chapter 836: Chapter 836: All Is Ready Except for the East Wind

Gan Lanlan hurriedly ran in and said, "Director Bai... Director Bai... something terrible has happened, something terrible has happened, it’s rea...lly terrible..."

Bai Haoxue: "..."

"Lanlan..." Bai Haoxue said, "When will you be a bit more composed?"

Gan Lanlan patted her chest, "I can’t be composed, this time it really is a big deal, and it’s extremely urgent."

"Then tell me, what’s the big deal?" Bai Haoxue took out her phone, ready to scroll on Weibo.

As soon as she opened Weibo, she saw the announcement of the scheduling of ’Suying’s Story’, and its release date was the same day as their ’Seeking Words in the Golden Era’, both set for prime time next Friday night.

Bai Haoxue instantly understood, "The big issue you’re referring to is that Jiang Kelan’s ’Suying’s Story’ and our ’Seeking Words in the Golden Era’ have a scheduling conflict, right?"

"What scheduling conflict?" Gan Lanlan said indignantly, "Jiang Kelan’s team clearly did it on purpose.

We had just announced our airing schedule on Weibo, and then they announced theirs."

But since Jiang Kelan’s cast is full of super-popular stars, they immediately trended on Weibo.

So, most people thought it was Jiang Kelan who announced first, saying our ’Seeking Words in the Golden Era’ was trying to ride on the coat-tails of Jiang Kelan’s ’Suying’s Story’, and Jiang Kelan’s fans even claimed we deliberately chose the same day to snag Jiang Kelan’s traffic and hype.

Bai Haoxue took a look at the Weibo comments, and Jiang Kelan’s fans were indeed spinning it that way.

Gan Lanlan said, "Do we need to issue a statement immediately, to let those blind ones clearly see that it was us who announced first, the times are there so plainly, how can so many people choose to be blind?"

"It’s not necessary to do that..." Bai Haoxue said, "It’s just a small thing, making an official company statement would be blowing things out of proportion and seem petty.

However, aren’t those two TV channels still airing ’Heaven and Earth Love’? I remember ’Heaven and Earth Love’ still has many episodes left to broadcast. Could it be that Jiang Kelan’s ’Suying’s Story’ will do an unexpected launch?"

Gan Lanlan nodded, nodded, "Exactly, but actually this is also an industry phenomenon, ’Heaven and Earth Love’ has very poor ratings.

So, they want to use Jiang Kelan’s drama to regain the dominance in viewership, and judging by their promotional momentum, they are ambitious, determined to make Jiang Kelan’s ’Suying’s Story’ the drama king of the year."

"Ha..." Bai Haoxue couldn’t help but laugh.

"Director Bai, why are you laughing?" Gan Lanlan said, "I think it’s very possible, Jiang Kelan is a top-tier star, plus it’s airing on the best TV platform, they are determined to win."

"Determined to win..." Bai Haoxue shook her head, "Not necessarily, I think they have everything ready except for the east wind, but this east wind is with us now.

Jiang Kelan’s ’Suying’s Story’ was originally delayed by three months compared to us, and now it’s not even fully filmed, their post-production is extremely rushed.

She wants to suppress me, so she made the cast work day and night, overtime, just to broadcast at the same time as me, for comparison, to crush and defeat.

In these circumstances, her drama can only be described as rough and shoddy, it’s not going to be that good, but they have money, so the scenes should still be lavish and eye-catching."
