Chapter 835: Chapter 835: Bringing Her Bad News

The director nodded, "I really haven’t kept up with it. After failing a few times before, I was helplessly defeated by reality and the market.

I originally planned to go abroad and retire peacefully, never to make films again, but my heart is still unwilling to give up, and I really love filmmaking, so when you invited me, I came back.

But before this, I truly hadn’t paid any attention to the current state of the entertainment industry, because reality is indeed very cruel."

"Director, you are really OUT of it," Bai Haoxue knew their director was someone who only cared about filmmaking.

"Although the entertainment industry was indeed driven by traffic, in the past two years, especially this year, the springtime for talented actors has gradually arrived.

Before finalizing the script for ’Seeking Words in the Golden Era’, I studied some of the more popular TV dramas from the past two years.

Honestly speaking, it’s not that there aren’t any that solely rely on popular stars, but they are becoming increasingly rare.

Instead, dramas that rely on the actors’ performances, the script’s plot, the director’s filming style, and set design, the sophistication and details of the costumes and props, are gaining more market and getting increasingly recognized by audiences.

Conversely, TV dramas that rely entirely on a single popular star often encounter a situation where they start strong but decline quickly.

Because of the popular star’s fans’ support, the initial ratings of the dramas they lead are generally very good.

But if the plot is weak, the performances aren’t up to par, or the special effects are poor, their high ratings quickly drop and may even disappear completely.

But truly good dramas will not be missed by audiences, and they will not be let down; audiences are perceptive, they know how to judge, and they will choose truly good dramas.

So, we have nothing to worry about, because the quality of our drama, in its category, the plot, the quality, and innovation may not be the absolute best, but it’s certainly among the top."

Bai Haoxue said, "If you’re still not assured, I’ll show you the survey report I did on this aspect; once you see it, you’ll be completely at ease."

"I used to think that such a young girl as you just had the luck of being born into a good position, and that’s why you became an art director and producer at such a young age.

But after this half-day of filming and interaction, I realized I really underestimated you."

Bai Haoxue has an incredibly thorough understanding of the entertainment industry and the market.

She can see the market clearly, adapt to it, and still not simply go with the flow.

She’s not like him or many others like him, who kind of reject the traffic trend, but she doesn’t overly rely on traffic either.

She has her own preparations, her own unique insights, and extraordinarily strong motivation and adaptability.

Whenever something happens, she always remains calm and composed, then goes on to solve it in an orderly manner.

For instance, when the costumes were suddenly cut or when a television station suddenly reneged and backed out.

The director thought, this is what a good producer should possess, isn’t it?

Being praised, Bai Haoxue still felt very happy and assured the director, "Director, you’ve worked hard during this time, and you have excellently completed the task of filming the drama.

The upcoming tasks will be left to me; you can be one hundred and twenty percent reassured, I definitely will not let down the good film you’ve shot."

After parting with the director, Bai Haoxue returned to the company and then handed her planned promotion strategy to Gan Lanlan for implementation.

As a result, Gan Lanlan came rushing in, bringing with her some bad news...
