Although she had changed her plan and intended to use surveillance equipment, it was good to have these things in case of emergencies. Besides, she could store them in the space without being discovered by anyone.

Hearing this, Ah Li got up to fetch the prepared items. Jiang Xue took them and put them in her pocket.

After giving the items to Jiang Xue, Ah Li remembered that Jin Hao didn’t come today and asked with concern, "By the way, why didn’t Jin Hao come along today?"

"He went on a business trip to a nearby city. I found out only later. This time, he didn’t even take Ah Lin with him, and I have no idea what business he’s handling."

"Did he go alone?" Ah Li was somewhat surprised. Ah Lin was Jin Hao’s special assistant, and he almost always took Ah Lin with him wherever he went.

After returning to the hotel, Jiang Xue bid Huo Cong good night and went back to her room. She bathed and changed clothes before entering the space to prepare food for her son.

Last night, they had fish porridge. Today, Jiang Xue wanted to change the flavor. So, she asked Little Fox to catch a wild chicken to prepare chicken porridge.

Of course, Little Reunion was too young, so the meat had to be chopped finely. Little Fox was an expert hunter and returned with the prey in no time.

Not only did it catch a wild chicken, but it also captured two wild rabbits. Seeing the extra catch, Jiang Xue immediately saw through Little Fox’s intentions.

Jiang Xue took the prey, processed the skins, chopped the chicken into small pieces, and marinated it with seasonings. As for the rabbit meat, it was salted for preservation.

When the porridge was almost ready, Jiang Xue added the finely chopped chicken and let it simmer gently. Meanwhile, she started on a dish of spicy rabbit meat for Little Fox.

Little Fox originally wanted grilled meat, but Jiang Xue had no time, so it had to make do with the spicy rabbit meat. Out of the two rabbits, Jiang Xue only ate half, and the rest was devoured by Little Fox.

Luckily, Little Fox wasn’t afraid of spicy food. Otherwise, eating so much at once would have had unpredictable results.
