Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate
Chapter 1363: Overcrowded
Chapter 1363: Chapter 1363: Overcrowded
If this booklet was shocking to the other doctors, then what it made Henry feel... was nothing but absurdity.
Looking at one familiar authoritative name after another printed on the pages, he just found it unbelievably ironic.
With a sharp snap, Henry slammed the booklet shut, lifted his head, looked at Sophie Wilson, and asked, "Can I ask my questions now?"
"Go ahead." Sophie said openly.
"Everything in here is real?" Henry held up the booklet and asked Sophie.
"If I’m lying to you, how much will you pay me?" Sophie asked with a amused look.
Henry’s face darkened as he asked, "The doctors mentioned in here are all quite famous overseas. You’re saying they’ll be coming to your hospital for exchanges soon. You think you can actually get them to come?"
"Forget you, even the ones sitting here..." Henry suddenly turned his head, looked at one of the doctors and asked, "Dr. Martin, didn’t your hospital also do a technical exchange with one of them before? Was it easy for you to invite that doctor over?"
Dr. Martin, who’d just been called on, could only shake his head helplessly. "Of course it wasn’t easy."
Getting an internationally renowned doctor to come over—how could that possibly be easy?
Dr. Martin understood how difficult it was, and naturally the others did too.
So, looking at it this way, the list of names in this booklet they were holding really was downright ridiculous.
Could Sophie Wilson’s hospital really invite so many famous doctors?
And not only that, she claimed she could arrange for all of them to come for exchanges. Was she kidding?
"Sophie Wilson, did you hear that?" Henry asked in a low, heavy voice.
"I heard." Sophie replied with a smile. "My ears are fine."
"Then what else do you have to say?" Henry lifted the booklet slightly and said coldly, "You’re faking things, waving this around to fool who, exactly? You think this conference is some place where you can just spout nonsense?"
Sophie let out a helpless little sigh and asked, "Just because you can’t invite them, that means I can’t either?"
Henry frowned, just about to say something, when he heard Sophie laugh and say, "Any doctors who are interested in coming to our hospital for exchanges can come to our hall this afternoon and listen to the lecture. As for which doctors will be coming to our hospital for future exchanges, our Dean will give everyone a detailed explanation then."
"Alright, it’s almost noon. I won’t delay everyone’s lunch time." Sophie finished with a smile and stepped straight off the stage.
That move completely blindsided Henry; once he processed what had happened, he couldn’t stop himself from grinding his teeth, cursing under his breath, "Shameless. Absolutely shameless!"
Sophie was clearly just whetting everyone’s curiosity.
Sure, the cases presented by all the hospitals earlier had been excellent; most of the doctors had things they wanted to learn from and discuss.
But when you compared that to famous foreign doctors, it really wasn’t even on the same level.
Not that domestic medical skills were that lousy or inferior to those overseas, but... within the country, people could always meet up and exchange privately anytime.
Organizing an exchange event at home was never as difficult as doing it across borders.
What’s more, the doctors listed in Sophie’s booklet were all hot commodities; getting them to come was even harder.
So in the afternoon lecture slot, it was obvious that the hall belonging to Sophie’s hospital would be packed to the rafters.
Henry’s face was pitch-black; he had no appetite at all for lunch. The people from his hospital didn’t dare say much either—who knew if what Sophie was saying was true or not.
