Chapter 1331: Chapter 1331: Abandoned

The little one changed into pajamas and obediently lay on the bed, holding the blanket with her small hands, her big, shiny eyes staring at the door.

"Let’s go to bed early." Sophie Wilson lifted the blanket and got into bed, pulling the little one into her arms. "Come, how about Mommy tells you a story?"

"Okay." The little one happily wriggled her small body. Mommy’s arms are so soft, Mommy smells good, I really like Mommy.

The little one happily snuggled up to Sophie Wilson, continuously snuggling into her arms.

So this is what it’s like to sleep with Mommy.

It feels so good.

Sophie Wilson gently tapped the little one’s tiny nose and smiled as she started telling a story. Before the story was finished, the little one in her arms fell sound asleep.

Looking at the little one sleeping peacefully in her arms, Sophie Wilson’s lips carried a contented smile.

No matter what, she must try to find the last remnant of that illegal company.

The harmful things that company developed shouldn’t exist in this world; those body-modifying injections are not normal.

They have no use other than causing harm.

However, that last remnant shouldn’t have complete records, and that person being so cautious makes it hard to find them.

Thinking about it, Sophie Wilson gradually drifted into a deep sleep.

In her sleep, she faintly sensed someone nearby.

Instinctual alertness almost woke Sophie Wilson from her dream, but the familiar scent made her feel incredibly safe, especially the gentle sensation of someone stroking her hair, soothing her entirely.

All sense of alert vanished, and Sophie Wilson slept even more soundly.

Charles Seymour looked at Sophie Wilson sleeping sweetly, his eyes filled with tenderness, yet...as his gaze fell on the person in her arms, there was something a bit peculiar.

This position...is his.

Charles Seymour stared at the little one for a while, silently reminding himself, my son, my own...can’t hit him.

Only after suppressing the turmoil in his heart did Charles Seymour get up, take a shower in the bathroom, and change into his pajamas.

Getting into bed, he pulled Sophie Wilson into his arms.

The familiar scent came closer, and as if by habit, Sophie Wilson turned in search of the warmth, instinctively curling into his arms.

In response to Sophie Wilson’s reaction, the corners of Charles Seymour’s mouth slightly lifted with immense satisfaction.

See, his wife still prefers snuggling him.

Sophie Wilson’s turn made Charles Seymour happy, but the little one who had been in her arms slightly frowned, feeling discomfort because the sweet-smelling Mommy was gone.

In her sleep, the little one let out a soft whimper, and that little sound made Charles Seymour’s brow furrow.

This little rascal, doesn’t he usually sleep just fine on his own?

Tonight he’s hogged his wife for over an hour, and yet he’s still not content.

What’s with the whimpering?

Charles Seymour’s mind was filled with complaints, but his face remained expressionless.

However, he underestimated the child’s influence on Mommy.

Sophie Wilson, suddenly turning in her sleep, pulled the little one into her arms.

Charles Seymour was left with empty arms, staring dumbfounded at Sophie Wilson who "heartlessly" turned away from him.

What’s going on?

Now that we have a son, has he been abandoned?

Charles Seymour looked over to see that the little rascal was happily smacking his lips because Sophie had cuddled him, his small legs kicking a bit.
