Rebate King: Every Beauty I Spoil Makes Me a Billionaire
Chapter 475: How Long...
Camilla’s fingers began tapping lightly against her knee as several conflicting thoughts passed through her mind. She had not forgotten her family. She had not forgotten the New Terra Realm, nor had her attachment to her home suddenly disappeared simply because she had spent some time on Earth. The thought of returning immediately even brought a faint ache to her heart. She missed them. She missed the familiar atmosphere of the realm, the people she had known for so long, and the life she had lived before meeting Stan.
But at the same time, she found herself reluctant to leave.
She stared through the window again, watching the passing lights and the countless people moving through the evening streets. For reasons she could not fully explain, the sight no longer seemed as alien as it had when she first arrived. There was something peaceful about it, and she was not yet ready to give that feeling up.
Eventually, Stan broke the silence.
"You can go back whenever you want," he said casually.
Camilla turned toward him, her expression carrying a hint of surprise.
Stan remained relaxed as he continued, making it clear that he was not trying to pressure her into making a decision. "I can take you back at any time. You don’t have to stay here because of me. If you want to return to your family, just tell me."
His words were simple, but they caused a complicated mixture of emotions to rise within Camilla. Her family immediately came to mind, and for a moment she imagined herself returning to the New Terra Realm. She could picture the familiar surroundings, the people waiting there, and the life she had temporarily left behind. A part of her genuinely wanted to return.
Yet another part of her was reluctant to leave.
Her gaze slowly drifted back toward the window, where Earth’s evening scenery continued to unfold before her. She remained silent for several seconds before finally answering.
"I’ll stay."
Stan raised an eyebrow. "For how long?"
Camilla hesitated before crossing her arms and leaning slightly against the seat. "For a little while longer."
"A little while?" Stan repeated, a faint smile appearing on his face.
"Yes." Camilla deliberately avoided looking at him. "I haven’t decided when I want to return yet."
There was a slight stubbornness in her tone, almost as though she was worried he might interpret her uncertainty as a weakness. Stan, however, did not press her.
"That’s fine," he replied.
Camilla finally looked at him again, studying his expression. She had expected him to ask more questions, perhaps tease her about suddenly becoming attached to Earth or point out that she had originally been eager to return home. Instead, he simply accepted her answer without making an issue of it.
"You aren’t going to ask me why?" she asked.
"No."
"Why?"
Stan shrugged lightly. "Because you’ll tell me when you’re ready."
Camilla stared at him for several seconds, her expression gradually softening. She had expected many things from Stan, but that response had caught her off guard. There was no pressure in his words, no demand for an explanation, and no attempt to influence her decision. He was simply giving her the freedom to choose for herself.
A faint smile eventually appeared on her lips.
"You really are strange."
Stan gave her a sideways glance. "Whatever."
He then opened the car door and stepped out, leaving Camilla momentarily confused.
She blinked before looking after him. "Come with me."
Camilla frowned. "Where?"
"You’ll see."
Her eyes narrowed immediately. "That’s not reassuring."
Stan merely smiled as he waited beside the vehicle. "You trust me."
Camilla stared at him for a long moment, clearly unconvinced by the confidence in his voice. She knew perfectly well that trusting Stan had a tendency to lead her into situations she could never have predicted. Nevertheless, after everything that had happened since she met him, she had already crossed the point where she could pretend she did not trust him.
She sighed softly and stepped out of the Audi.
"Unfortunately."
A quiet chuckle escaped Stan as he watched her approach.
The next instant, the space around them subtly distorted.
There was no brilliant flash of light, no explosive surge of energy, and no dramatic disturbance that could have attracted the attention of anyone nearby. Stan simply exercised his control over spatial laws and the authority Void Sovereign have him causing the distance between their current location and their destination to cease being meaningful.
For the two of them, the transition was almost instantaneous.
One moment, they were standing beside the Audi beneath the artificial lights of Earth’s evening streets.
The next, they were gone.
---
Camilla felt the surrounding space twist the instant Stan activated his spatial ability. The sensation was completely different from ordinary movement.
There was no feeling of acceleration, no sensation of falling, and no gradual transition from one location to another. Instead, it was as though the space around her had suddenly become fluid, folding and compressing around her body while countless invisible layers of distance were being rearranged.
Her expression immediately became serious. Instinctively, the powerful bloodline energy within her surged, and she activated her vampiric abilities in preparation for whatever situation might await them.
However, before she could fully react, the strange sensation disappeared.
Her feet touched solid ground.
Camilla’s body remained tense for a moment as she carefully surveyed her surroundings. The first thing she noticed was the silence. There was no sound of traffic, no voices, no wind, and none of the countless noises she had grown accustomed to hearing on Earth.
Instead, there was only an almost unnatural stillness that seemed to envelop the entire space. She slowly lowered her guard as her eyes adjusted to the surroundings and discovered that she was standing inside a circular room.
The room itself was surprisingly simple. There were no magnificent decorations or extravagant displays of wealth. A smooth floor stretched beneath her feet, while the curved walls extended around them in a seamless circle. At the center stood a simple wooden table accompanied by two chairs.
A small tea set had already been arranged neatly on the tabletop, and two cups sat beside one another, each releasing thin streams of steam that curled lazily into the air. The entire arrangement looked as though someone had deliberately prepared the room for two guests before their arrival.
