RE: LORD OF TIME
Chapter 207: Little Sister
A woman with long black hair and red eyes walked amid a cluster of giant trees, each of her footsteps causing the rustling sound of dry leaves being crushed.
Vivian looked at the nearly fifty meter tall trees around her that reached high above with calm eyes as she continued to move forward.
Around five minutes later, as she passed between two trees standing side by side, she felt as if she had crossed a kind of barrier, and the scenery before her eyes instantly changed.
The dense forest filled with tall trees disappeared, and instead, a clearing filled with beautiful flowers and plants appeared.
Vivian looked at the exotic flowers that were everywhere, and a nostalgic look flashed in her red eyes before they returned to normal.
Walking on a clear path made of hard stones amid the flowers, Vivian moved deeper into the garden, and soon a wooden pavilion came into her view.
A round tea table with four chairs was placed in the middle of the pavilion, with a pot of steaming tea placed on top of the table.
A woman with crimson-red hair was sitting on one of the chairs in the pavilion, calmly sipping tea from a white teacup.
Vivian stared at the woman’s back for a moment before walking towards her.
The woman heard the sound of footsteps from behind her but did not turn around to look back.
"What a pleasant surprise..." The woman spoke in a soft voice. "I did not expect you would come here to see me."
Vivian didn’t respond to the woman’s words and walked into the pavilion, taking a seat opposite her.
As she sat down, Vivian could finally see the woman clearly.
Amber-red eyes and fair skin, and a face that was 60% similar to hers. Vivian’s eyes moved slightly downwards, looking at the woman’s chest. And when a flat terrain where you could enjoy a bump-free ride while driving a carriage came into her view, a look of pity flashed in her eyes.
Crack!
The teacup in the woman’s hand suddenly cracked, and she looked at Vivian with a forced smile.
"What are you looking at, Little Sister?"
Vivian shifted her attention from the smooth platform and looked into the woman’s eyes calmly.
"Call me by my name. I feel disgusted hearing you call me Little Sister." Vivian said in a flat voice and poured a cup of tea for herself.
"What’s there to be disgusted about..." The woman rolled her eyes. "Have you forgotten how you used to follow me around with snot trickling down your nose?"
Vivian calmly took a sip of tea and glanced at her.
"The one I used to follow died a long time ago. Just because you are wearing her face, don’t think you can act like her as well."
"Is that so..." The woman smiled slightly and leaned back. "So, why did you come here? It wasn’t because you ran out of tea and just wanted to freeload here, right?"
"You already know the reason, Venisa." Vivian said and put down the teacup. "Stay away from him, or things won’t end as peacefully as last time."
Venisa crossed her legs and stared at Vivian with a faint smile.
"Who are you talking about, Little Sister? I haven’t left this place for a long time, so I am not up to date with outside news."
Vivian didn’t say anything and indifferently stared at her.
Seeing Vivian’s blank, almost soulless look, Venisa’s mouth twitched, and she coughed.
"Even if you hadn’t reminded me, I wouldn’t have gone after him. Don’t you know your sister’s personality? I am a very good person."
"That would be the best." Vivian nodded and didn’t say anything.
A look of curiosity flashed in Venisa’s eyes, and she leaned forward.
"Hey, Sister, tell me, how did you meet him? For you to even use our family’s influence to send those nobles a warning, you must really like him a lot, right?"
Vivian looked at her curious expression, and a sneer appeared on her mouth.
"Why does an old woman like you want to know so much? Could it be that you are feeling hot inside at your age and want to find some tender grass to eat?"
Venisa was bewildered when she heard Vivian’s words, and a strange look appeared in her eyes.
She opened her mouth to say the same words to her, but remembering her shitty attitude towards her, she closed it again and looked away.
Vivian nodded in satisfaction upon seeing her silence and stood up to leave.
At the same time, she didn’t forget to sweep away the pot of tea leaves that was placed at the side into her storage ring.
Venisa’s mouth twitched when she saw this, and she called Vivian a thief and poor ghost in ten thousand different languages.
"Remember what I told you." Vivian didn’t care about her curses and began to leave.
"It’s been quite a long time since you came. Why don’t you stay for a little longer?"
Vivian didn’t stop and continued to walk.
"I have a lot of things to handle and don’t have time to waste here."
Venisa stared at the cracked teacup on the table and let out a sigh, shaking her head.
"Don’t forget to visit again when you have time."
Vivian didn’t respond to her words and soon reached the end of the flower garden.
Just as she was about to leave, Vivian’s body froze, and her eyes widened in shock and fear.
She sensed her connection with William, and the more she tried, the more panicked she became because she couldn’t sense their connection at all.
It was as if William had suddenly disappeared somewhere or their Eternal Blood Pact had been broken out of nowhere.
BOOOOOOM!
An unstable aura that made the space itself ripple as if it were on the verge of shattering erupted from her body, and she instantly turned into a crimson light, her body moving towards the City of Vance.
