RE: LORD OF TIME
Chapter 127: Prelude to Chaos (Part 1)
Heavenly Realm....
In the central area of the Heavenly Realm, countless floating islands hovered high in the sky, standing tall above the drifting clouds.
Every island was occupied by majestic structures, and from time to time, people on the ground could see angels flying in and out of them.
But the focus of most people was not on these floating islands, but on something even higher above them.
Far above these beautiful floating islands stood a structure that seemed to have been carved directly from the heavens themselves.
The Headquarters of the Church of Light occupied an enormous floating landmass surrounded by endless clouds of golden light.
From a distance, it looked less like a building and more like a divine kingdom suspended in the sky.
At the very center of this enormous floating landmass stood a colossal white-gold temple whose peak pierced through the sky. Its architecture was grand and majestic, with countless towering spires extending beyond the sky. Each spire was crowned by a radiant crystal that continuously released waves of pure light.
At the very front of the structure stood huge golden gates.
At the center of every single gate was an enormous emblem of the Church of Light—a golden sun surrounded by sixteen radiant wings.
The emblem was not merely decorative.
It constantly emitted a soft golden glow that illuminated the surrounding clouds, making the entire headquarters appear as though a second sun had descended into the Heavenly Realm.
Unlike the Vermilion Realm, where there were different empires ruled by different races and people, the Heavenly Realm was completely different.
There were also different kingdoms and empires in the Heavenly Realm, but the Church of Light had absolute control over them.
In a sense, it could be said that the entire Heavenly Realm was ruled by the Church of Light.
At this moment, inside the main hall of the Church of Light, a beautiful woman wearing a long white robe stood before a tall statue.
The statue depicted a male figure with sixteen enormous wings spread behind him. In one hand, the figure held a golden sword, while the other held a radiant orb.
The statue’s face was peaceful and compassionate.
Yet merely looking at it gave people the strange sensation that they were being watched by something far beyond their understanding.
The woman’s hands were clasped together in front of her as she silently prayed to the statue.
Drip!
However, as she was praying, the woman heard the sound of something dripping onto the ground and abruptly opened her eyes.
"This..."
A frown appeared on the woman’s face as she looked at the golden liquid that had fallen at the feet of the statue.
Confused, the woman raised her head, which had been lowered earlier to show respect to the statue of the God of Light, and her eyes landed on the peaceful face of her God.
However, the instant she looked at the face of the statue, the woman’s eyes widened in shock, and a look of horror appeared on her face.
"What is this?"
She nearly screamed in fear when she saw the golden blood flowing down from the eyes of the statue.
Bang! Bang! - - -
Out of nowhere, the wings behind the statue began to explode, turning into dust as they scattered across the main hall of the church.
The commotion immediately attracted the attention of other people, and soon, many individuals rushed inside the hall.
"Saintess, are you alright?"
An angel with six wings quickly approached the woman, but found her staring at the statue with a look of disbelief.
The angel followed her gaze, and when he saw the cracked statue of the God of Light, he nearly fell to the ground with a look of horror.
Just as the entire main hall was thrown into chaos, a radiant golden aura suddenly enveloped the surroundings, and the blood finally stopped flowing from the eyes of the statue of the God of Light.
An old man holding a crystal scepter appeared in front of the statue, looking at it seriously.
"Supreme Pontiff."
Everyone present inside the hall immediately bowed to the old man upon seeing him.
The old man did not look at any of them. Instead, he turned to look at the woman who had been praying earlier.
"What happened?" He asked in a serious voice.
The woman recounted everything that had happened earlier, and the more he heard, the more serious the old man’s expression became.
"Bleeding from the eyes and the sudden destruction of the wings..." The old man muttered. "It’s a very bad omen..."
He stared at the damaged statue with a solemn expression.
"Just what kind of calamity is coming that made My Lord give such a strong warning?"
The woman heard the old man’s words, and her expression also became grave.
"I hope it’s not something that none of us can handle."

Abyss Realm....
Unlike the Heavenly Realm, which was full of life and had a bright sky, the Abyss Realm had a dark-red, gloomy sky, with charred black earth stretching across the horizon.
In one of the central areas of the Abyss, a tall statue, nearly a thousand meters high stood imposingly.
The statue depicted a humanoid figure with two curved horns protruding from its head.
At this moment—
Bang! Bang! - - -
Both of the horns of the statue, along with many other sections of its body, suddenly exploded and turned into dust.
At the same time, blood-red tears began to fall from the eyes of the statue, as if it were crying tears of blood.
The sudden situation alarmed the surrounding people, and figures with powerful auras appeared in front of the statue one after another.
"What is happening?" A humanoid creature with pitch-black skin and shark-like teeth asked in a voice filled with shock.
"The Abyssal Statue... How can something made of Underworld Black Gold shatter like this?" Another person spoke, his voice filled with confusion and shock.
But what shocked them the most were the blood tears flowing from the eyes of the statue, making all of them feel a chill run down their spines.
In fact, it wasn’t just the Heavenly Realm and the Abyss Realm that experienced this strange situation.
The Witch Realm, Era Realm, Desolate Realm, and almost all the realms that were somehow connected to Gods in one way or another experienced the same kind of phenomenon.
While the people of the various realms were thrown into an uproar because of the strange phenomenon, even more undercurrents were sweeping across the cracks in time of these dimensions.
