Chapter 1603: A Husband Should Unconditionally Obey His Wife

  • Next Chapter

After Anthony and Finn drove away, Thomas Fisher finally withdrew his gaze from the gate and turned his attention to the woman in his arms, "Alice! When did you find out that Anthony is a girl?"

Knowing the importance and secrecy of this matter, he lowered his voice significantly as he asked, just enough for her to hear.

"Over four years ago, I think."

Hearing his question, Alice Turner blurted out her response, but immediately realized what she had said. She looked up at him, "Thomas Fisher! What do you mean by that? Do you also think I have something going on with Jacob?"

She had heard what others whispered behind her back these years, but she never cared about it.

No need to mention Anthony being a girl, even if Anthony were a guy, so what? As long as she considers that person a friend, she wouldn’t care about those rumors.

"He doesn’t have those capabilities."

Of course, Thomas Fisher believed Alice Turner, not to mention that Anthony is a girl. He didn’t have any doubts; he was just curious about how the two of them interacted on a daily basis.

In private, it was one thing, but he wondered how they chose to interact in front of outsiders.

Thomas suddenly recalled the scene when he reunited with Alice Turner some days ago; seeing her and Anthony so close, he genuinely thought they were a couple.

Later he had someone investigate, and the results made him heartbroken.

She and that guy indeed had an indescribable intimate relationship, and upon hearing that news, he felt both angry and resentful, mainly directing those feelings at himself.

Should have known he was overthinking!

Alice Turner giggle-snorted at the man lost in his wild thoughts, "What, can’t we have a little girl love?"

"I won’t allow it!"

Thomas Fisher gritted his teeth with frustration at Alice’s words, but seemed still unsatisfied, as he gave her soft waist a playful squeeze.

"Naughty."

Alice Turner raised her hands and, without much of a prelude, began pinching and kneading his cheeks.

Thomas Fisher stood motionlessly there, letting her mold his cheeks into various shapes. As long as she was happy, he was willing to let her toy with him.

"Alice! We’ve safely brought Jacob back, when can we go back?"

He wanted to go back and marry her with the certificate, so he could justifiably cling to her twenty-four-seven every day. Just the thought of it made him feel how wonderful such days would be.

Hearing Thomas’s question, Alice Turner stopped her antics, collected her playful mood, and looked at him seriously, "After Jacob comes back, and after I meet his dad with him, then we’ll go back."

Since they were already there, she couldn’t just leave quietly; saying goodbye face-to-face was the least courtesy and respect.

"Alright."

Thomas Fisher had no objections to Alice Turner’s decision. He also felt they should bid farewell to Anthony’s father; only then would they leave without any psychological burden.

Feeling Thomas Fisher’s understanding and support, Alice Turner was deeply moved and leaned against his chest, wrapping her arms around his lean but strong waist, "Thomas! Thank you."

"There’s no need to say thank you between us; a husband should unconditionally listen to his wife." Thomas Fisher tightened his arms around the woman in his embrace, wishing he could embed her into his body.
