Chapter 1592: This Guy Is Clearly Avoiding Me

Alice Turner had been knocking on Anthony’s door for quite some time, but there was no response from inside his room. Without caring if she was being impolite, she turned the doorknob and opened the door.

The door opened easily.

Did this guy sleep without locking the door?

With doubt in her mind, Alice Turner pushed open the door, but the moment she did, she suddenly became tense.

The bed in the room was empty!

She walked further into the room and glanced around, but she didn’t see a single shadow of a person.

Alice Turner didn’t waste any more time in Anthony’s room; she returned to her own room, picked up the phone she had thrown on the bed, and immediately said to Thomas Fisher on the other end, "Jacob might have gone to the hospital. Go check it out now. Whether he’s there or not, give me a call back."

Not finding Anthony in the room, Alice Turner immediately thought of what Thomas Fisher had just told her. If she wasn’t mistaken, Anthony should have gone to the hospital.

After finishing the call with Alice Turner, Thomas Fisher didn’t dare linger in his bed. He immediately got up, got dressed, and without washing up, he left the apartment with his phone and car keys.

More than half an hour later, Thomas Fisher arrived at the hospital where Benjamin Shaw was staying, but he did not see Anthony in Benjamin’s room.

"Thomas! Why are you here so early?" Benjamin Shaw was still in his dreams. Thomas Fisher was about to sneak out of the ward, but he inadvertently woke up Charlotte Shaw, who was accompanying Benjamin.

Seeing that he had woken Charlotte Shaw, Thomas Fisher stopped in his tracks, turned to look at Charlotte, who was already sitting up on the sofa, "I came to see if there was anything I could help with."

He couldn’t very well tell the truth, saying that he came so early to look for someone. That would surely give the other party something to talk about and make life difficult for him and Alice.

"It’s too early, nothing’s up. Go back and take care of your own stuff." Charlotte Shaw had gone to bed very late and was extremely tired now. She didn’t have the energy to ponder whether Thomas Fisher’s words were true or false.

At this moment, she just wanted to quickly get rid of him so she could lie down and continue sleeping.

This fit perfectly with Thomas Fisher’s intentions. After silently waving goodbye to Charlotte Shaw, he exited the ward.

Once he was away from the ward, he made a call to Alice Turner.

"Is he there?"

As soon as the phone rang once, Alice Turner picked up. After answering, she directly asked.

"He’s not here."

Thomas Fisher responded quickly. This was not the answer Alice Turner was hoping to hear, and he too was disappointed by this outcome.

"Don’t worry, I’ll keep looking elsewhere." Over the phone, he heard her sigh on the other end.

"I tried calling him, but his phone has been switched off the whole time. That guy is obviously avoiding me." Right after finishing the call with Thomas Fisher, Alice Turner immediately called Anthony.

But she made numerous calls only to hear the recorded message that his phone was turned off.

Now, hearing what Thomas said, Alice Turner felt frustrated and anxious, extremely worried about Anthony and fearing he might encounter his nemesis.

Her mind suddenly flashed back to the scene from five years ago when she first met him. Back then, he was also being chased. If she hadn’t run into him by chance, he might have lost his life, or at the very least half of it.

Why is this guy so forgetful? Does he want to repeat what happened five years ago?
