Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap

Chapter 1506: His Heart Began to Race

  • Next Chapter

Benjamin Shaw actually understands his parents very well. It’s just that five years ago, because his parents forced him to marry Alice Turner, he couldn’t get over that hurdle in his heart, and it tormented him for the entire five years.

He hates being forced into things. If his parents hadn’t pushed him so hard back then, perhaps he might have tried to get along with Alice Turner, and the situation between them might have been completely different.

Seeing that Benjamin Shaw no longer opposed them as before, Alexander Shaw could finally put his long-suspended heart at ease.

No matter the outcome, seeing his son like this already brought him much comfort. His son had finally ’returned’.

"I believe you can do it, keep it up!" Alexander Shaw made a cheer-up gesture to his own son and got up to leave.

As the office door closed, Benjamin Shaw let out a deep sigh, leaned back on the sofa, and started staring blankly at the wall directly in front of him.

Because he was meeting Alice Turner in the evening, Benjamin Shaw was restless the entire afternoon, staring quietly at the wall, but his heart was irritated and dissatisfied.

His mind was full of Alice Turner — angry Alice Turner, happy Alice Turner, and Alice Turner shouting at him.

The image of Alice Turner flashed in his mind repeatedly, constantly replaying.

Benjamin Shaw was both tormented and delighted by this complex state, which persisted until it was past five in the afternoon.

As the agreed meeting time approached, he grabbed his phone and left his office.

Benjamin Shaw drove directly to the café where he and Alice Turner had agreed to meet. Raising his arm to check his watch, he saw there was still an hour until their meeting time.

"Welcome!"

Seeing a customer walk in, the waiter immediately greeted him with a smile.

Benjamin Shaw glanced around and found a seat by the window, wanting to be the first to see her figure.

"Sir! How are you! What would you like to drink?"

The waiter who came over stood politely by the table and asked warmly.

"I have a friend joining me, we’ll order together when she arrives." Benjamin Shaw didn’t really enjoy drinking coffee, he’d rather drink alcohol, and besides, he wasn’t there for the coffee today.

"Okay."

The waiter turned and left, only to return a few minutes later, this time with a glass of plain water in hand.

The waiter placed the water in front of Benjamin Shaw and then left again, not returning to disturb him.

Benjamin Shaw leaned against the booth, looking out the window. He knew it was still quite early, yet his eyes were unconsciously searching for that figure.

He hoped that figure would appear sooner, but the higher the expectations, the greater the disappointment.

It wasn’t until five minutes before the agreed time that Alice Turner’s figure finally came into Benjamin Shaw’s view. Seeing her get closer and closer, his heart started to race.

When Alice Turner entered the café, her eyes quickly locked onto Benjamin Shaw. She had seen his car outside; it was the same car he always drove when they met five years ago.

"Over here!"

Benjamin Shaw thought Alice Turner hadn’t seen him and waved to get her attention, indicating his location.

Seeing Benjamin Shaw wave at her, Alice Turner took a deep breath to calm her nervousness and stepped toward the seat where he was sitting.
