Chapter 621: Chapter 619: Aaron Sinclair Returns to His Own Body

Celeste Grant smiled. "Your little sister has been asking for a big brother. She’ll be overjoyed to meet you."

"Yeah."

Aaron Sinclair nodded.

The thought of a little girl soon throwing herself into his arms, calling him "Big Brother" and asking for hugs, made Aaron Sinclair’s heart bubble with happiness.

’My sweet little sister, just you wait. Big brother is on his way.’

"Let’s not talk about that for now," he said, linking arms with his mother. "Mom, I’m craving roast duck and your homemade dumplings."

"Not a problem. I’ll show you two what I can do tonight."

"Alright!"

「That evening.」

Celeste Grant cooked personally, with her son and Javier Sinclair helping. When dinner was ready, they looked at the table piled high with food. There was far too much for them to eat alone.

"Oh, right. We can invite some people over."

Aaron Sinclair smiled and lightly snapped his fingers. Instantly, three people appeared out of thin air before him. Two adults and one child—they were the Emperor and Empress of Kelldorn, and the small boy with them was the Crown Prince.

They had likely never experienced anything like this. Appearing from nowhere, the imperial family of three was momentarily stunned. They thought they had been abducted by a Fiend.

"Where am I?"

"Oh? It’s Annie."

Seeing that the person before them was Aaron Sinclair, the Emperor and Empress breathed a sigh of relief.

"That scared me to death! Oh, it’s just Annie."

The boy standing beside the Emperor and Empress brightened up when he saw Aaron Sinclair and walked forward with familiarity.

"Greetings, Brother."

This boy was the legitimate heir of Kelldorn, the eight-year-old son of the Emperor and Empress. Before Aaron Sinclair’s memories awakened, he had truly believed he was part of the royal family, so he had always been genuinely kind to this younger "brother." The child, in turn, was very fond of him and had loved visiting the Prince’s Manor since he was young.

Aaron reached out and patted the boy’s head.

"Come and sit down, little brother."

The young Crown Prince wasn’t shy at all and found a seat for himself.

The Emperor, still on his feet, glanced around the room before his gaze settled on Aaron Sinclair.

"Imperial Nephew, how did we get here?"

Aaron Sinclair glanced at them and gestured. "Imperial Uncle, Imperial Aunt, please have a seat. I brought you here. My mother cooked a huge meal tonight, so I thought you could join us."

"Oh, oh, of course. Of course."

The Emperor and Empress’s gazes fell upon the feast laid out on the table. They exchanged a look, their expressions complex.

’She cooked herself? In the past, we would have definitely tried some. Our sister-in-law was the Princess Consort of our royal family, Javier Sinclair was his own flesh-and-blood brother, and the boy, Annie, was our imperial nephew. But now... now we don’t dare claim that connection.’

The image of their "relatives" flying through the sky and annihilating monsters was still fresh in the minds of the Emperor and Empress. So was the memory of their nephew single-handedly absorbing all the harmful black energy into his body, cleansing the heavens and the earth and saving millions of lives.

The Sinclair Royal Clan had been nothing but ordinary mortals for generations. Not once had such a powerful figure appeared in their ancestry, and they had never even heard of anyone pursuing the path of immortality.

After the day’s events, the Emperor and Empress already had their suspicions. Their instincts told them it had to be true; perhaps their "sister-in-law’s" family had only temporarily descended upon the royal house. Otherwise, they had no way of explaining the situation.

As it turned out, their suspicions were correct.

"Please, sit. Have a seat."

"Now that you’re here, there’s no need to be formal. Try the roast duck I made."

The Emperor and Empress smiled, walked over, and sat down.

"Then we’ll take you up on your offer, Sister-in-law. Thank you for your hospitality."

"It’s no trouble at all. The more, the merrier."

「After dinner.」

They moved to the courtyard for tea.

It was then that Celeste Grant announced they would be leaving.

The Emperor and Empress were saddened to hear this, but they knew in their hearts that a small kingdom like Kelldorn could never hold beings like them.

"Must you go?"

"We’ll miss you. Sister-in-law, could you stay just a little longer?"

Celeste Grant looked at them and began to explain. "You’ve likely guessed by now, but we are not from this world. Javier Sinclair shares no blood ties with your Sinclair Royal Clan. Still, our paths crossed, and a bond was formed between us. My husband and I came here because, through a twist of fate, our son’s Primordial Spirit was sealed, and he came to this realm as a mortal. We borrowed identities for the sake of convenience. In any case, we did so without your permission, and for that, we are deeply sorry."

The Emperor and Empress both had looks of understanding on their faces.

’This is more or less what we suspected,’ they thought. ’So it’s true, they aren’t from here. They’re Celestial Gods who have descended to Elyndra.’

The Empress spoke up. "No, no, Sister-in-law, please don’t say that. In our hearts, you are our family. Annie is our imperial nephew, and you are our sister-in-law. If anything, we are the ones who have gained from this arrangement."

The Emperor stood and nodded. "Indeed. In our hearts, you are our family, a part of the royal house. For Celestial Gods to grace our small kingdom of Kelldorn... it is my greatest honor. It is a blessing for all of Kelldorn’s subjects, and indeed, a blessing for all people in this world."

As he finished speaking, the Emperor and Empress moved to kneel and pay homage.

But Celeste Grant stopped them.

Instead, the Emperor and Empress simply bowed low before them.

"Gods descended to Terrus to save the people from immense suffering. I shall issue a decree and build temples in your honor, so that you may receive offerings and worship for generations to come."

Hearing this, the corner of Aaron Sinclair’s mouth twitched.

’That... is really not necessary.’

’I, for one, am not on board with that.’

"No, no, that’s not necessary," Aaron said quickly. "Our family isn’t interested in temples or incense offerings. Let’s get down to business."

Before they could respond, Aaron Sinclair waved his hand.

Several items appeared on the stone table before them.

His eyes swept over the Emperor and the young Crown Prince. "We’re preparing to leave. Since our paths have crossed, and the little Crown Prince has called me ’Brother’ for so many years, it’s only right that I leave you with a few things."

"This is a City Defense Array. If you’re ever in danger, activate it. Even an Immortal would be brought to their knees before it. I’ve already set the key: a single drop of blood from your direct lineage is all it takes to activate it. These are Elixir Pills, for saving your lives. As long as a single breath remains, one pill will bring you back from the brink. And this is a vial of Lifespan Extension Pills. A mortal can extend their life by thirty years by taking one, but it only works once."

"None of you possess a Spirit Root, so you cannot practice Cultivation. However, I am leaving you a Spirit Testing Stone and a Jade Token that grants passage to the Cultivation World. If any of your descendants are born with a Spirit Root, they need only hold this Jade Token to be teleported there directly. Compared to other realms, the Immortal and Demonic Paths currently coexist peacefully in Nimbos, a world within the Cultivation World. As long as your descendants arrive holding this Jade Token, someone will be there to meet them and offer them protection."
