Chapter 620 - 618: My Little Sister Is Definitely Very Cute
Chapter 620: Chapter 618: My Little Sister Is Definitely Very Cute
As soon as she spoke, her voice fell clearly into the ears of the father and son. Javier Sinclair and his son exchanged a glance, and in a flash, they were standing before her.
They might ignore others, but when Celeste Grant spoke, they absolutely had to listen.
Seeing them approach, Celeste Grant pointed to the water splattered all over her. "Look what you’ve done."
Javier Sinclair’s eyes swept over her. He reached out and plucked a strand of waterweed from her shoulder. "Darling, with your cultivation, why didn’t you just put up a defensive barrier? You wouldn’t have gotten wet."
Hearing this, Celeste Grant shot them a glare. "Easy for you to say. How was I supposed to know I’d still get soaked standing all the way over here in the corner?"
The two of them wrung their hands sheepishly.
"Mom, I was wrong."
Javier Sinclair stepped forward and took her hand. "Our son already knows he was wrong." As he spoke, he shot his son a glare. "You little punk, look what you’ve done! The water from the lotus pond splashed so high it soaked your mother."
Aaron Sinclair rolled his eyes.
’My own father is such a scoundrel!’
"Celeste, I’ll get you cleaned up." As he spoke, Javier Sinclair formed a hand seal and cast a Cleaning Technique on Celeste Grant. In an instant, she was completely refreshed, her clothes pristine.
"There, all clean now."
Celeste Grant’s gaze swept over the pair. "If you two can’t restore this courtyard to its original state within three minutes, you can both go kneel on washboards. No, go to the latrine and face the wall to think about what you’ve done..."
Hearing this, the father and son both took a step back.
HISSS...
’That’s a bit too cruel, isn’t it?’
Meditating in the latrine... that would be a very... *aromatic* experience. The Demon duo couldn’t possibly do that. The father and son exchanged a look and nodded vigorously.
"Darling, I’ll restore this place right away."
"Mom, you can count on us."
Celeste Grant nodded slightly.
"Alright. Get to it."
"I’m in a good mood today. Tonight, I’ll go catch a duck and make you roast duck with my own hands."
Being a true foodie, Aaron Sinclair was the first to raise his hand in agreement. "Yes! I want some! I want some!"
Javier Sinclair, on the other hand, raised his hand and used a creation technique to restore the area. At his command, the collapsed courtyard walls and the displaced rockeries rose back into place. Even the shattered tiles on the ground flew up, mending themselves as they settled back onto the roof.
In just a moment, The Prince’s Manor was restored to its former glory, as if the earlier chaos had been nothing but an illusion.
After finishing, he wrapped his arm around Celeste Grant’s shoulders. "Celeste, for the roast duck tonight, I’ll help you kill the ducks. One clean cut each, I guarantee they’ll be thoroughly dead."
Trailing behind them, Aaron Sinclair rubbed his backside. His father really didn’t hold back. The thorny vine landing on his rear had hurt like hell.
"HISSS... Mom, Dad hit me! I think my butt is split open!"
Celeste Grant chuckled.
"Of all the people to provoke, you just had to provoke your father. Getting your butt welted is letting you off easy."
Aaron threw his head back and let out a dramatic wail.
"Oh, heavens! Oh, earth! You... WAHHH... you don’t love me anymore! Aunt Nerida, I miss you! When I get back, I’m going to tell on him and have Aunt Nerida come spank Dad!"
Javier Sinclair’s face darkened. He sneered, "Son, believe it or not, before you even get to see your Aunt Nerida, I can make your butt ’blossom’ for a second time."
Aaron Sinclair sighed.
"A poor little cabbage, wilting in the patch... My own dad doesn’t love me..."
His reward was a smack on the head from his dear old dad.
"Dad, if I turn into an idiot, it’ll be your fault for hitting me."
Amidst the joking, he suddenly stopped and walked over to his mother’s side. "Mom, where’s my little sister? Why didn’t you bring her with you? I miss my little bun." The thought of the sister he constantly longed for filled Aaron Sinclair’s heart with a sweet and sour warmth, like he’d just eaten a skewer of candied fruit.
Back in The Cultivation World, his mother had become pregnant with his sister. She had a large, round belly, and he’d been eagerly awaiting his sister’s birth. But before she was born, his mother ascended to Valerium. And just like that, he missed her birth. The very thought of it was heartbreaking.
To see his sister as soon as possible, he threw himself into his Cultivation, wanting to ascend to The Upper Realm quickly and reunite with his mother and sister. And he did ascend early, but he ended up in the wrong place.
He didn’t arrive where his mother and sister were. Instead, he ascended directly to another Immortal Domain: the Cunmere Realm, where he had lived in his past life. Over there, Golden Cores were a dime a dozen, Divinity Transformation masters were everywhere, and there was no shortage of Immortals and Immortal Kings.
Back when he was Everard, he had been a Loose Cultivator, unaffiliated with any sect and preferring to act alone. In reality, he secretly had many identities and used multiple aliases to join various sects, from the Immortal Sect to The Demonic Sects. He even infiltrated a sect of Evil Cultivators. After leading them all into a trap that got them killed, their leader died still believing Everard was his most loyal brother, thinking his friendship had not been in vain.
He had single-handedly annihilated the Evil Cultivators’ entire lair, plundered its countless treasures, and then vanished, leaving his deeds and fame behind.
In the end, all of his identities ended up "dying" tragic, heroic deaths for their respective sects. In reality, he had just faked his death and fled because he was afraid getting exposed would be too much of a hassle. The main issue was that if he hadn’t run, all those Sect Leaders and elders would have started trying to marry their daughters off to him. He was just one person with innumerable identities—how could he possibly handle that?
Thinking about his past, Aaron Sinclair couldn’t help but chuckle.
"Heh heh..."
Celeste Grant gave him a strange look. "Son, what are you smirking about over there?"
Aaron Sinclair waved his hands dismissively.
"Nothing, nothing. I was just reminiscing about some funny things. Anyway, forget that. Mom, what does my little sister look like? Is she all fair and chubby and adorable?" Even though he hadn’t been there to see her birth, he could already picture what his little sister looked like.
Thinking of her daughter, who was with Nerida, Celeste Grant smiled.
"She’s very cute, just like you imagined. When your sister was born, she was fair and chubby, like a little dumpling."
At the mention of his daughter, Javier Sinclair’s expression softened into a tender, fatherly smile. "Mm. When your sister was born, she had a round, chubby little face. If you poked her cheek, she’d blow bubbles. Speaking of which, now that you’ve awakened, kid, we should probably head back soon."
He was anxious to get back and hold his little Princess.
Aaron Sinclair asked,
"What about now? How old is she?" He had ascended to the Cunmere Realm, and the flow of time in the two realms was surely different. So he really had no idea how old his sister was.
Celeste Grant replied, "Your sister is five years old. She’s always tearing about, and whenever she’s bored, she chases the three geese one of the elders is raising."
Hearing his mother’s description, Aaron Sinclair could already picture it. "What a cute little girl. I really want to get back and give her a hug soon. It’s just a shame my main body is still in the Cunmere Realm. I have to get back to it before I can come find you all."
