Chapter 526: Chapter 524: Digging Away in the Spiritual Medicine Patch

Aeron smiled. "I understand, Father. Don’t worry. With my cultivation, I’m more than capable of protecting myself if I run into any enemies. We’ll be going now. Mother, Father, you two can head back. Try to give me a little brother or sister soon. I think having a little sister would be nice, too."

The Queen: "..."

The Empress: "..."

They were utterly speechless.

What had they done to deserve such a troublemaker?

After bidding his parents farewell, Aeron looked at Nerida. "Wife, let’s go!"

Nerida nodded. "Yes, let’s go." As she spoke, she took his hand, and the two of them stepped into the Transfer Passage, vanishing in the blink of an eye. Once they were gone, the passage concealed itself.

「Meanwhile」

The two of them had arrived near a valley in Grendale. The landscape was filled with mountains, rivers, and a seemingly endless range stretching into the distance.

The Spiritual Energy was incredibly dense. It was an excellent location.

They didn’t linger at the exit for long. After memorizing the general direction and terrain, the two flew off, disappearing into the distance in an instant.

At that moment, Nerida and Aeron were flying over the mountain range.

Just then, Nerida’s gaze casually swept over a certain area. She immediately grabbed the arm of the person beside her, bringing them to a halt.

"Look over there."

"Look at what?"

Aeron followed her gaze and saw the valley below, not far away. It was densely packed with countless Spiritual Medicines. His eyes fixated on the cliff face, and he froze.

"Those are Spiritual Medicines."

Aeron pulled her along. "Let’s go down and take a look."

Nerida hummed in agreement.

In a flash, the two landed near the valley.

They hadn’t gotten a good look from above, but now that they were here, both of their eyes lit up. Spiritual Medicines of all kinds grew everywhere they looked—on the rocks, in the soil. The most abundant among them was Moonfall Grass.

"So this is the world outside of Silvanis? These are Spiritual Medicines... and there are so many of them."

Seeing all the Spiritual Medicines growing before him, Aeron’s eyes went wide. He felt like a country bumpkin of a Young Master.

Aeron turned to Nerida and couldn’t help but ask, "Wife, you’re familiar with the outside world. Do you know where this is? This place looks so rich. The Spiritual Medicines growing here would be considered rare even in Silvanis. I never expected the world outside of Silvanis to be so wealthy. This is a real eye-opener."

These Spiritual Medicines were Cultivation Resources. They could be used for Alchemy or consumed directly. Even if they didn’t need them, they could be traded for other Cultivation Resources, like Spirit Stones or Spirit Crystals.

’Our luck is way too good! We’ve hit the jackpot with this one.’

Aeron resisted the urge to pull out a shovel, telling himself not to embarrass his wife.

He never imagined he would stumble upon such an incredible fortune right after leaving Silvanis.

’To think so many Spiritual Medicines are growing here.’

’They look quite old, too.’

’And they’re growing freely.’

’Which means they’re wild.’

’Wild means they’re ownerless. And if they’re ownerless, it’s finders keepers. So, by that logic, these all belong to my wife and me.’

"Wife... there are so many."

"Should we dig them up?"

Nerida’s gaze swept over the thriving Spiritual Medicines. Some were hundreds of years old, others a thousand, even several thousand. This... this... in the Lower Realm, these were the kind of Cultivation Resources countless people would fight to the death for. At that moment, she also felt like a country bumpkin in the big city who had never seen the world.

’These Spiritual Medicines are growing here, so it’s likely no one has discovered this place. Otherwise, they would’ve been dug up long ago.’

She glanced at Aeron beside her, pointed at the Spiritual Medicines, and couldn’t help but say, "Aeron, has it occurred to you that I might not know where this place is either?"

Although Aeron had never been outside before, he was at least a native of this land. She, on the other hand, was not from this Immortal Domain.

Nerida had ascended from the Lower Realm and had accidentally stumbled into Silvanis, a nation within Amarantha, right upon arrival. This was her first time truly being out. So, Nerida really had no idea what The Upper Realm was like. His question was futile; she genuinely had no clue.

"We should probably head to The Demonic Domain first. I wonder which direction it’s in?"

’I’m really not familiar with The Upper Realm.’

Aeron looked at the Spiritual Medicines with a reluctant expression and couldn’t help but ask, "Are we leaving right now?"

Knowing what he was thinking, Nerida chuckled. "We have to leave, yes, but let’s take care of business first."

Her gaze swept over the Spiritual Medicines as she pulled a shovel directly from her Storage Ring. "We’re digging. It’d be a waste not to."

Aeron glanced at her and pulled out a small shovel of his own. Seeing that he had one too, the husband and wife exchanged a look, their shovels lightly clinking together.

"Let’s get to it."

"We have to dig them all."

Nerida said, "Dig up the mature ones. We’ll leave the younger ones to grow so we can harvest them later."

Aeron chuckled. "Wife, you’re thinking the exact same thing I am." He had held back from taking out his shovel earlier because he was afraid his wife would think he was just some rube who’d never seen the world. He hadn’t expected her to be on the same page. ’Looks like we’re truly a match made in heaven.’

’If we don’t dig up these Spiritual Medicines just sitting here...’

’...who knows if they’ll still be here the next time we come back.’

’Better for us to take them than to let someone else get lucky.’

And so, the pair of Nerida and Aeron began digging up Spiritual Medicines. As the Left Protector of the Bloodfiend Den, Nerida was by no means poor. But who would ever complain about having too many treasures and Spiritual Medicines?

The two squatted down and immediately started digging with their shovels. Some Spiritual Medicines could be collected with Magic; a gentle wave of the hand could pull them, soil and all, into their storage space. But some were more delicate and would be ruined by carelessness, so they had to be dug up with a shovel.

They worked from morning until afternoon, and by the end, they had dug up pretty much everything. Before leaving, she even remembered to dig up a fruit-bearing tea tree from the cliff’s edge.

Standing beside her, Aeron’s eyes scanned the area, not even sparing the cracks between the rocks. "Alright, we can go now. There shouldn’t be any stragglers left. What a huge haul this was."

Nerida nodded slightly.

"Mm, let’s go."

As she spoke, the two flew away from the spot, vanishing over the horizon in an instant.

They had no idea where The Demonic Domain was. In the end, they had to find someone to ask for directions...

「At the same time, in the Demonic Domain.」

When Celeste Grant learned that Nerida had found a Taoist Companion, her eyes went wide. She grabbed Javier Sinclair’s hand and asked softly, "Are you sure this is real? You’re saying that Nerida found a Taoist Companion?"

Javier Sinclair smiled at her excited expression. Seeing Celeste Grant pacing back and forth in front of him, he reached out and pulled her into his embrace.

"Stop pacing, you’re making my head spin."

"It’s true. I’ll say it again: I promise you’ll be able to see them very soon."

Celeste Grant smiled.

She was overjoyed at the thought of seeing Nerida so soon.
