Pregnant Cultivator, Doted by Big Boss

Chapter 525 - 523: Leaving Amarantha

Chapter 525: Chapter 523: Leaving Amarantha

Nerida’s gaze shifted to Aeron’s face.

Recalling how he had nearly died opening the Transfer Passage, she still felt a lingering fear. Thank goodness The Exalted One had arrived in time. Otherwise, she couldn’t bear to imagine what would have happened.

At this thought, she sighed softly and said in a low voice, "If I had known that leaving this place would nearly cost him his life, I would never have let him do it. I am truly sorry." She was speaking to Aeron’s parents.

The Empress looked at her son, her expression full of sorrow. She began, "You... You foolish child, were you trying to scare us to death? If something had happened to you, how would your father and I go on? Have you forgotten everything we taught you? You are the Young Master of Silvanis."

’How did I end up with a son whose head is filled with nothing but romance?’ Still, no matter what, he was her child.

The Queen walked forward and grasped his son’s hand. He looked Aeron over from head to toe, his hands checking him carefully, only relaxing once he was certain his son was truly unharmed.

"As long as you’re all right. You must never do anything so self-destructive again. Otherwise, how could I ever forgive you for such a reckless act?"

Aeron reached out and hugged his father. He, too, was terrified in retrospect. If he had really died, he couldn’t imagine how heartbroken his parents would be.

At this thought, his eyes reddened.

"Father, I was wrong."

"It was wrong of me to make you worry. I’m sorry. I won’t do it again."

The Empress couldn’t help but correct him. "You *must* not do something so foolish ever again."

Standing to the side, Nerida said, "I’ll keep an eye on him."

Next, Nerida brought up the matter of the Transfer Passage again.

The Empress needed to formulate a plan. Before, they had been trapped. Now that they could leave, there was much more to consider.

"Our Silvanis Clan has been secluded for a very long time. The Cultivators here have Cultivation levels mostly in the Qi Refinement Realm because our resources are limited. We can’t trade with the outside world. Now, with the Transfer Passage, all of that can change. The only problem is, we don’t know if the enemies our Silvanis Clan once had are still out there. Our ancestor, Iris Ashworth, sacrificed herself to become the core of the array that sealed this place off, all to protect our clan from being slaughtered."

Hearing this, Aeron said, "Mother, the great array of Silvanis is still active. The Exalted One said our Silvanis Clan’s Divine Artifact, the Clear Wind Hammer, has incredible defensive power. It’s comparable to two layers of a High-level City Defense Array. Even if our old enemies are still out there, they won’t be able to get in."

The Empress nodded slightly. "That would be for the best."

Standing beside Aeron, Nerida said, "Mother, Father, you needn’t worry. It doesn’t matter if the Silvanis Clan’s enemies are still out there. As the saying goes, ’I won’t attack unless I am attacked.’ If they’re really looking for a death wish, I’m happy to oblige."

They felt her killing intent.

The oppressive aura coming from Nerida was immense; even the faintest trace of it made them feel a sense of danger. Fortunately, that danger wasn’t directed at them.

Nerida’s Cultivation was incredibly high; that much was undeniable. Plus, she had the mysterious Exalted One backing her. Thinking of this, the Empress felt much more at ease.

"Good. Your words have put our minds at ease."

Afterward, the group spoke for a while longer. All in all, despite the earlier scare, the day had come to a perfect conclusion.

With the official matters settled, Aeron’s father, the Queen, turned to Nerida and couldn’t help but say, "Becoming Taoist Companions is a major event. Since you are already together, the wedding ceremony cannot be a casual affair. What you’re wearing today doesn’t count; the wedding must be held properly. Aeron is our only son. And while Silvanis may be a small country in a remote land, we cannot skip the proper traditions. My son deserves to be married off in splendor."

Indeed, every parent believes their child deserves the very best.

Aeron was their only son, and they had originally hoped to find him a wife who would marry into their family. But their son yearned for freedom and was completely devoted to Nerida. This female cultivator who had stumbled into Silvanis was powerful and had a formidable background—she certainly wasn’t one who would marry into their family. If she were, they would have insisted on it.

Of course, they knew they weren’t influential enough to ask a Cultivator with such a powerful background to marry into their family. Here in this small corner of the world, they held some sway. But out in the vast Immortal Domain, Silvanis was a kingdom no bigger than a sesame seed.

In the grand scheme of things, it was incredibly fortunate for a small kingdom like theirs to be under the protection of a major power. If they’d had such protection back then, they wouldn’t have been forced into seclusion for so long. So, for their son’s sake, having him marry into her family was also for the best. As long as their son was willing, they, as his parents, had no objections.

Most importantly, their son had incredibly high standards and wouldn’t spare a glance for an ordinary female cultivator. But Nerida was tall and long-legged, with fair skin and stunning beauty—not to mention her immense power. Even they couldn’t find a single fault with her. So, they were quite satisfied with their son’s chosen wife.

Aeron blushed with embarrassment at his father’s words. Of course he wanted a grand wedding with Nerida. Their previous bonding as Taoist Companions had been rushed because he thought he was going to die and was afraid he wouldn’t have time to marry her.

He glanced at Nerida and said, "I’ll do whatever Nerida says."

The Queen rolled his eyes at his son. ’Sigh, he’s a lost cause. Utterly hopeless.’ He could only hope that all his son’s dreams would have a perfect fulfillment.

"I’ve thought about this as well, Mother, Father." Nerida gave them a slight bow of respect befitting a junior before saying softly, "I have no objections. We will certainly have a grand wedding. Once I return to the Demonic Domain and meet with my mother, I will come to your door with a formal proposal."

Seeing her respectful demeanor and how she conducted herself, Aeron’s parents were very pleased. As the saying goes, to love someone is to love everything about them, and so they had grown quite fond of her as well.

The Queen took both their hands and placed them together. "You must support each other from now on." Then, looking at Nerida, he said, "Nerida, I’m entrusting my son to you."

Nerida nodded slightly.

"Yes. Mother, Father, you can rest assured."

That evening, Nerida and Aeron stayed for dinner with his parents and ended up staying the night.

The next morning, Nerida left with Aeron.

Aeron’s parents came to see them off, followed by several old ministers of Silvanis. They too watched on, a tearful, sniffling mess.

His parents stood not far away, watching Nerida and Aeron leave. The Empress, dressed in bright yellow robes, waved to them.

"My children, travel safely and come back soon."

With that single word, she had included Nerida as well. Nerida turned slightly to look at them, a smile gracing her lips as she waved back.

"Mother, Father, we’ll be back soon."

The Queen looked at his son and couldn’t help but add one last piece of advice. "My son, be careful out there. If you run into someone you can’t beat, just run. There’s no shame in it."
