The moment she saw the Golden Tiger Cub, Yu Zhizhi realized what was happening—

’The Big Tiger must have used a Transmission Ripple! Did he send the cub over alone? Or did he come too?’

For some reason, Yu Zhizhi felt a little nervous.

She had just stepped out of the dining hall, the Golden Tiger Cub in her arms, when the little one suddenly struggled. Yu Zhizhi looked down just as the brilliant golden tiger leaped to the ground. It let out a soft "AWOO," as if to say it wanted to stay and have a bite to eat.

Yu Zhizhi hesitated for a moment, then nodded gently. "I’ll come back for you later, okay?"

The Golden Tiger Cub watched Yu Zhizhi walk away.

It slowly padded to the entrance of the dining hall, plopped down, and refused to move. Its tiger eyes were fixed on the figure inside, as if wanting to keep an eye on him.

Louis sat at the dining hall table, unhurriedly eating the food on his plate. The white curtains billowed in a gentle breeze, and he glanced back toward a certain spot, able to roughly guess the location of the Transmission Ripple.

It was usually well-hidden, but activating it always left subtle traces.

Yu Zhizhi still remembered where Cang Lan had left the ripple before.

She headed for the summit. A gentle breeze caressed her face as she walked. The newly constructed path was quite smooth, but to her surprise, the summit was deserted.

’Huh?’ Yu Zhizhi thought. She glanced all around but saw no one.

’Where’s Prince Canglan?’

’Did he not come?’

’Could it be... he just used the Transmission Ripple to send the little cub over?’

’But he didn’t leave so much as a single word.’

Yu Zhizhi was a bit perplexed. After a moment’s thought, she started walking toward the castle.

In the distance, a Shadow flickered in and out of sight, moving erratically.

It stared intently at the rabbit.

Yu Zhizhi returned to her room. Contrary to what she expected, she didn’t find Cang Lan there. She decided to use her communicator to contact him and ask about the Golden Tiger Cub.

The moment she pushed open her door, she saw a tall figure seated on a chair on the balcony.

Yu Zhizhi froze for a second, then quickly shut the door.

"Prince Canglan?"

’He wasn’t at the ripple’s location? He came to my room to wait for me instead?’

Cang Lan was dressed in red and white aristocratic attire. He sat in the chair, holding one of the books she usually read.

He idly flipped a couple of pages without reading them closely. His long, golden hair fell slightly over his chest. Hearing the sound, he glanced over—

The Rabbit Clan female stood by the door, her clear eyes widened slightly. Her small, porcelain-white face was still flushed from her long walk. She gently clutched the hem of her skirt, and after their eyes met, she slowly brought her hands together in front of her. "Y-You’re here?"

The little rabbit’s tone was trying for casualness, yet it was laced with an undeniable panic.

’What is she afraid of?’

Cang Lan’s eyes narrowed slightly. He suddenly stood and walked toward her.

Yu Zhizhi watched the man approach, staring up at him in a daze, wondering what he was about to do.

"Is... is it about Little Star?" Yu Zhizhi asked, her voice tinged with confusion.

Cang Lan looked down at her, his gaze tracing a path from her cheek to her neck. The still-visible mark was impossible to hide.

His eyes darkened.

"It seems the Lady Lord has been enjoying herself lately."

The little rabbit’s eyes blinked rapidly. She didn’t seem to understand what he was saying and could only try to guess. "Your Highness... are... are you... hungry?"

’Hungry?’

Cang Lan slowly leaned in, staring intently at this infuriating rabbit. "What do you think?"

Yu Zhizhi heard a soft CLICK.

The Big Tiger before her had actually locked the door.

Her heart began to race, but then she remembered she had been through this many times before...

Yu Zhizhi lowered her head, ready to roll up her sleeve, when he suddenly gripped her chin. An instant later, his cold lips were on hers.

At first, there was a hint of hesitation, but it was quickly followed by a torrential onslaught, as if he meant to drown her in it.

It was a rough, vicious, deep kiss. Yu Zhizhi’s body trembled, and a sharp sting of pain shot through her lips.

’I-I was bitten?’

She couldn’t help but clutch the corner of his tunic. Her back suddenly slammed against the door. Cang Lan paused for a moment. He gently licked the trace of blood from the Rabbit Clan female’s lips, his kiss slowly becoming tender and lingering.

Yu Zhizhi had thought he was going to drink her blood—

She kept her eyes squeezed shut, only to realize that Cang Lan had already released her.

—Huh?

Yu Zhizhi opened her eyes, looking at the man before her in confusion.

Cang Lan’s gaze rested on her lips, and he seemed quite pleased with his handiwork.

His intense stare made her cheeks burn. She couldn’t help but lower her eyes and stare at the pattern on the floor.

"One week."

Cang Lan slowly spoke. "Xingyu will be staying here for a week."

’Xingyu?’

Yu Zhizhi froze for a second before realizing, ’Oh, the Moon Rising Empire already gave Little Star a name.’

"Okay," she nodded gently. She was more than willing to have the Golden Tiger Cub stay in her territory; in fact, she wished he could stay even longer.

Seeing how readily the little rabbit agreed, as if it hadn’t even occurred to her that the cub’s presence might interrupt her "honeymoon," the corners of Cang Lan’s mouth lifted slightly before he quickly suppressed the smile.

Just thinking of the word "honeymoon" ignited a fire of jealousy in his heart.

Suddenly, a faint noise came from outside. Yu Zhizhi’s rabbit ears twitched. She quickly pressed her hands against Cang Lan’s chest and started pushing him backward. "Your Highness, you need to hide."

Cang Lan was stunned.

He stared at the rabbit before him in utter disbelief—

’She’s actually telling me to hide?!’

’Me? The dignified Crown Prince of the Empire, being told to hide like some shameful secret—’

Yu Zhizhi didn’t know where she found the strength, but she managed to push him all the way out onto the balcony. Taking a deep breath, she immediately shut the door and drew the curtains.

Cang Lan stared sullenly at the white curtains. He could even see the little rabbit’s blurry silhouette as she walked toward the door. An incredible tightness constricted his chest.

Yu Zhizhi opened the door and peeked out. "Lo... Lou?"

The person who came was not Louis.

At Lou’s feet, the Golden Tiger Cub was hissing ferociously, poised to pounce at any second.

The black-haired young man held a sword he’d taken from a guard. He noticed the room was dark, the curtains drawn.

Lou snorted and shoved the door wide open. "Where is he?"

Yu Zhizhi’s heart dropped. She quickly grabbed Lou’s arm. "Do you want to get something to eat?"

"No."

"How about we go out and get some sun?"

"No."

Lou stared fixedly at the balcony. His peripheral vision caught sight of the little rabbit beside him, and he suddenly noticed the bite mark on her lips. A furious rage instantly erupted in his eyes—

’That damned tiger!’

’I knew he came here just to cause trouble!’

Lou wrenched his arm free and charged forward, sword in hand. Behind the thin curtain, Cang Lan hadn’t bothered to conceal his presence. A sharp sword materialized in his hand, and with a loud SHRED, the curtain was torn apart as their weapons clashed!

Sunlight flooded the room in an instant, blindingly bright!

Yu Zhizhi instinctively shielded her eyes with her arm. Her heart was pounding in her chest as she saw that the two of them were already fighting their way out of the room—

’Don’t let anything happen to them!’

With Louis away, Yu Zhizhi was terribly worried. She hiked up her skirt and ran downstairs.
