After being thoroughly beaten by the queen, Julian lay exhausted on the ground, breathing heavily.
His hands could no longer grip the war hammer.
The hammer itself, however, had truly been forged by Julian using Uncle Tsukasa’s techniques until it was incredibly sturdy.
Even the Tinkaton queen’s heavy strikes had only left slight dents in it.
The Tinkatuff present, including Tinkaton, were all very curious about how Julian had trained his hammer.
How could it withstand the queen’s Gigaton Hammer?
Tinkaton, on the other hand, thought back to some of the movements Julian made while hammering.
Previously, she had only thought they looked graceful.
Now that she thought about it carefully, those movements seemed to have deeper meaning.
Tinkaton planned to go back and figure it out herself first.
If she could not work it out, she would ask Julian afterwards.
As a former lone wanderer, Tinkaton had her own pride and the confidence of a genius.
She believed that given enough time, she could definitely develop hammering techniques that were not inferior to Julian’s.
Even among human blacksmiths, the same forging hammer method would vary slightly depending on the individual.
For the Tinkatink line, Pokémon who grew together with their hammers, this was even more true.
Every Tinkatink, during their growth, would form a unique forging style based on their own traits.
Because of that, everyone could only learn from one another and use each other as references.
No Tinkatink would completely copy Tinkaton’s forging method.
Moreover, Tinkaton had already evolved. Her forging techniques were already approaching maturity.
At this stage, she was even less likely to copy Julian’s hammer method directly.
The Tinkaton queen glanced at Julian.
"Don’t focus only on forging the hammer. Battle is important too."
"No matter how good a war hammer is, if you can’t fully draw out its power, you’re only preparing food for other Pokémon."
Julian climbed up and picked up his hammer with his sore right hand.
He had no intention of becoming a delivery service for someone else’s meal.
"I understand, Queen. I’ll train properly."
Once his hands had mostly recovered, Julian struck some ore and casually made himself another war hammer.
Tinkaton looked at him in confusion.
"Why are you making a hammer like that? I feel like one hit from me would break it in half."
Julian smiled slightly.
"If you want to gain excellent battle experience, relying on a high-quality weapon won’t work."
Holding the new war hammer, Julian smiled and said, "Tinkaton, let’s spar."
After hearing what Julian said just now, Tinkaton also found it interesting.
She decided to test it with him and see whether it was really useful.
Power burst beneath Julian’s feet, and his body vanished like a shadow.
When he reappeared beside Tinkaton, the war hammer had already approached her body.
Tinkaton raised her own hammer and blocked the attack with some difficulty.
Her heart jolted.
She discovered that the way Julian swung his hammer now already carried a hint of the queen’s style.
Tinkaton climbed back up.
"Tinkaton, how did you do that?"
Julian smiled faintly.
"I learned the queen’s hammer techniques. If she had truly drawn out all of her hammer’s power just now, then even if my hammer’s quality was good..."
"It would still have been broken by her!"
At the Tinkaton stage, Julian felt that the focus should shift from developing the hammer to developing the body.
The body was Tinkaton’s greatest foundation!
From that day onwards, the Tinkaton queen spent more than ten minutes sparring with Julian in hammer techniques every day.
She was very satisfied with Julian’s progress.
Julian’s strength was increasing, but there were no suitable opponents nearby who could force him to fight with everything he had.
Then Julian suddenly thought of that Bisharp he had smashed into a metal pancake.
He immediately went to the queen and asked.
"Does the Kingambit in the south already have the ability to revive?"
She shook her head.
"Kingambit should still be a little short, but during the battle royale, it should be able to withstand the pressure and complete its transformation."
"With your current strength, going south to provoke Kingambit is just right."
If Julian could kill Kingambit, then the Pokémon whose strength had reached the revival line would become Tinkaton.
Julian gathered the Corviknight and Tinkatuff and asked for their opinions.
"The Bisharp in the south will be very strong. Everyone may suffer heavy casualties, but if we succeed, our strength will increase massively!"
Even the Corviknight, who would not gain much benefit from it, spoke up.
"I agree! I want to become as strong as possible before the battle royale."
"Right. The battle royale is about to begin anyway. Dying now and dying during the battle royale isn’t that different!"
If they could become stronger, perhaps they could survive the battle royale.
Julian nodded.
"Good. Follow me!"
"South!"
After reaching the south, they had not even found Kingambit or Bisharp yet.
Instead, they first ran into several Magneton and Magnemite.
After the incident where Archaludon had ambushed them, everyone had suddenly realised something.
As food, why were they crowding into Archaludon’s favourite restaurant for training?
Wasn’t that just asking to die?
They had not gone to Magneton territory in a long time.
Instead, they invited Magneton out of their habitat to shock them elsewhere.
The Magneton’s electricity simply was not as strong as Magnezone’s Thunder.
Including Magnezone, Julian felt that they did have some friendship with the Magneton line.
"Let’s go ask. Has Archaludon become so hungry that even Magneton aren’t safe anymore?"
After asking, they found out that it was not Archaludon.
It was Kingambit, who had set its sights on Magneton territory.
Tinkaton was puzzled.
"Can Kingambit really use those magnetic stones to strengthen the blades on its body?"
Julian instead felt differently.
"Kingambit probably doesn’t want any more Magneton evolving into Magnezone and becoming food for Archaludon."
"It already thinks its current strength is enough to resist Archaludon. It doesn’t want it to use them to become even stronger."
Hearing that Kingambit was very strong, everyone looked at one another.
"Tinkaton, are we still going to trouble Bisharp?"
Julian swung his war hammer.
"Yes. The stronger they are, the more I want to fight them. If Kingambit wasn’t powerful, I wouldn’t even bother going!"
According to the Magneton, Kingambit had personally made a move this time.
With only four Bisharp, it had scattered their entire group.
More than ten Magneton had been beaten until they fled in every direction.
"To Magnetic Mountain!"
At the summit of Magnetic Mountain, a black-armoured general with a golden blade on its head was quietly overlooking the land.
An air of lonely dominance naturally spread from it.
Julian did not choose to ambush with a falling hammer technique.
Instead, he jumped down from Corviknight’s back and landed not far from Kingambit.
This Kingambit was slightly stronger than Gallade.
But it had not yet reached Goodra’s level.
"Kingambit, battle me!"
When it first saw Tinkaton, it was somewhat frightened, though it forced itself to remain calm.
After realising this was not the Tinkaton queen, but only an ordinary Tinkaton...
Embarrassment and anger surged in its heart.
Red light flashed in Kingambit’s eyes.
"Arrogant!"
