Players Invade Cyberpunk
Chapter 1479 - 482: En Route to Atlanta
Chapter 1479: Chapter 482: En Route to Atlanta
The treacherous world is tumultuous, as those who defy societal norms will always face countless schemes.
The Cuba War, backed by several multinational corporations, the European Community’s defeat was deserved, but that doesn’t mean they will always support the players.
The hustle and bustle throughout the world is all for profit; the losses suffered by Europe in Cuba will inevitably be compensated elsewhere.
Even if the players are aware of these matters, they won’t be surprised; they’ll just say
"I don’t care, I’m here to kill, don’t talk such insulting nonsense in front of me in the future."
"You dogs, come at me all at once, don’t give me the chance to kill you one by one!"
But now they still have urgent matters to attend to,
The assets left by the European Alliance Army in Cuba are countless, with weapons and ammunition calculated by the ton, and over a hundred tanks, armored vehicles, and self-propelled guns of all sizes.
The most valuable of all the spoils belongs to the Vasa, pierced through its hover engine, making up for the loss of the Bora which sunk.
Initially, these Swedes refused to surrender, relying on the ship’s weapons systems to resist to the death, until players hit them with a torpedo; then they wisely surrendered.
It’s not that our army lacks resolve, it’s just that these people across have hacks, they’re unbeatable.
Things are already in chaos in Sweden, they’ve organized a bunch of people intending to negotiate protests with Lin Miao, hoping to get the Vasa back.
Stating that if you kneel and kowtow today, returning both the ship and the people, then I won’t hold it against you.
When it comes to Europeans who flip their eyes at the slightest squeeze and boast at the loosest touch, Lin Miao and the players are well aware of what moral character they possess.
Both worlds’ Europe are the same lineage, only fools would believe what they say; go wherever it’s cool.
Only the strong deserve ship girls, don’t you know?
You just sit tight in Europe and watch how I handle the Vasa, that’s all.
As for Hood and Bora, they’re basically beyond saving.
The latter sank directly at sea; the former is nearing the same fate, even if salvaged, there’s no repair value; dismantle any usable equipment before it sinks.
Even the military implants on those soldiers have been fully replaced with standard implants, all requisitioned!
Looking at the piles of high-value spoils at the port, players were grinning ear to ear.
Brother Ni casually picked up a purple-grade right arm implant and said with a chuckle
"War is great, it takes war to collect so much good stuff, far beyond what we could get in Night City."
Not just Night City, even throughout New America, no state could see such a massive amount of military supplies come onto the market, and this is high-grade European stuff.
The total spoils seized in Cuba even surpass what they gathered over two years in New America combined; the numbers are simply staggering.
"Hell of a lot."
Wildman, gazing at the mountain of implants, said painfully yet happily,
"Do you know how much the price of implant equipment has plummeted lately?"
The influx of substantial equipment seized from the Alliance Army alleviated the problem of skyrocketing implant prices due to wartime losses significantly, but they fell too much, causing the profits of high-grade implants to be less abundant than expected.
"Who cares."
Your brother isn’t too concerned about these
"At worst, we’ll keep them for ourselves."
"What we need now is money, industrial construction requires a tremendous amount of cash, having more implants than we can use or sell is still wasteful."
Such a quantity of implants has already surpassed the players’ internal consumption limit, and after Cuba was claimed, West Fire Grass’s black market smuggling was basically void, with the grade being too high to move this batch out quickly.
Wildman is quite helpless about this; Cuba, as the first land claimed by the players, would serve as their true logistical base.
Family Joy walked over to the equipment pile, picked up an assembled arm, with a swarm of drones hidden inside, remotely controlled for reconnaissance or even magic puppet infiltration, perfect for mechanics.
The internal precision of its structure far surpasses any implant they previously used, with many components’ machining precision reaching nanometer levels, nearly to the point of showing off; such creation is impossible regardless of the money one throws in the real world.
The production capability of this world is so high there’s nowhere left to apply it, Family Joy couldn’t even imagine what kind of horrific power would erupt if these technologies were applied to a highly-industrialized nation like Tokyo University with billions of people.
Even now, any factory in Night City can overwhelm the leading enterprise of a ground level city in production capability, and Military Science, as a military contractor, doesn’t fall short of a European country’s production.
If the production capabilities of Cuba and even the United States could be fully liberated... I’m not boasting; you can all come at me, I’m in a hurry.
Family Joy shook his head
"I’ve already arranged for the first batch of processing equipment to be smuggled over by West Fire Grass from Europe, expected to arrive in about a week; you guys need to welcome them then."
"As for these implants, we could attempt reverse engineering and renovation using superconductive materials, estimating it won’t be long before we produce even stronger equipment."
Technologies we dare not use in Night City can be open for use in Cuba.
"Huh?"
Upon hearing this, everyone was shocked, they heard that Europe had already imposed economic sanctions on Horizon Corporation, although they’re ineffective; the constraints of companies by the European Community are no match for a single hair of the old Americas.
